Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Hillbilly is really hard, please take away the things that make it unreasonable

One thing i would super like addressed is the way that my mouse sensitivity is shot up as high as it can go at the start of the chainsaw sprint for the hillbilly killer, the fact that that is the default use of the killer is... so bad. so bad. Please, please, please, transfer this to an add-on you can get, like the Nurse's ability to see where she'll land when she blinks, because no matter how much I play, this feature is a hinderance 100% of the time.

And maybe its just my playstyle, I can understand if the hillbilly was nerfed and changed (or so I had heard a few years ago) to make the sprint purely out of convenience and not meant for killing, and if the intended way to play the killer was to be able to keep your chainsaw hot at almost all times until you're right up on someone so you can just cut them down, but thats just... really not a fun way to play.

Another thing i would like maybe addressed is the almost doubled stun time it is for an obstacle or wall to interrupt the chainsaw sprint compared to the normal disengage timer. Personally, I think the hillbilly is nearly impossible to use a proper sprint to actually get someone that isnt immedately in your range, and you shouldn't be punished for trying and running into a wall, as thats about what happens every time anyways. I understand if quick reflexes are an important part of managing skill as a killer and preventing people who have that skill being unbeatable, but it also deprives the killer player of the anticipation of the kill, to run at someone and see if the luck is on your side to cut someone down, which is i think a big lure to play the hillbilly at all.

An idea I had, as i feel like no one ever plays the hillbilly anyways (i wouldnt know but) it would be really cool, since the whole "guy running with a chainsaw" is such a cliche, if the whole concept of chasing someone was made way more important for the chase for the survivors, giving the killer a better chance at actually using the chainsaw. When i first had this idea I had envisioned that once the hillbilly started his sprint and was looking at a survivor, a pair of walls would form parrallel to the hillbilly's path at the survivor, and if the survivor crossed that line, they were immediately injured, or marked, or something, in a sort of The Shape michael meyers kind of way. Of course, thats way over the top in favor of the hillbilly, but I also had the thought that if the survivor turned to look at the hillbilly while he was in a chainsaw sprint, or maybe if the hillbilly was visible on their screen, the terrifying image of some huge misshapen creature dead-on sprinting at you with a chainsaw and a railroad hammer would seriously freak them out, make them scream, slow them down, make them squeeze their eyes shut, something. And, maybe the survivor not being able to look at their chaser would be a big enough boon to make the hillbilly exciting and usable again.
