Why would people play Survivor more than Killer right now?

The bonus is nice, but at least for me it’s not enough incentive to play survivor right now. For one thing, it’s literally Springtrap ever single match (not exaggerating - I have not seen a different killer yet), and two, the insanely broken new AFK and DC penalty systems are punishing normal gameplay for survivors. Playing killer isn’t even an option due to the queue times. I’ll be on vacation soon and I am not all sad that I won’t be playing for a while.

Hype will quickly die and when people realize that he is a glorified mediocre killer they will stop playing him so often.

True, but they probably should have predicted this and upped survivor incentives to make it a little more tolerable.

if you had an issue with this, you had an entire years warning to avoid this very specific event happening at this very specific time.

This is normal. If the killer is good then expect this to go on for a few weeks. Also if the killer is good expect every forum post to be about them.

Doubt it, this is the biggest chapter in DBD history, this will be the norm for 2-3 months imo.

Unlike ghoul, he is not such a fun experience. Unless he receives some buffs, the ''wow'' effect will be gone much sooner than you'd expect.
