Is anyone surprised by their official stats?

Its possible. When I think about it, all the time I spent where I had to step away, go to the bathroom, grab a snack, answer the door, take a phone call or if I left my console on becuase I passed out LOL.
I really do wonder truly.

As do I.
I did get curious, I went and logged into those other accounts, and my total playtime is at about 350 days.

Hmm - that's interesting. Hopefully they will comment to give us an idea of how it works.

My longest chase time is massively disappointing but I guess it's not true stats as chases still end even though the killer is still on you

2 minutes 2 seconds apparently @Dwight_Fairfield

My stats have 1860,2 hours of playtime unaccounted for. Now, I know that it doesn't track event/modifier queues and the like, but that is still a major portion of my playtime. And it's also not because I played before 2020, quite the contrary: I started late 2021.
Surely I didn't spend all that time in lobbies, the store section and Custom games?-1 -
No surprise whatsoever. The stats just prove how easy killer is to play and that all the complaints about survivors needing nerfs and killers needing buffs are just killers being upset that their extended 3-4K streak was interrupted by a strong SWF team that actually provided a challenge. You can have a mere fraction of the hours on any given killer as you do with survivor, yet easily maintain a 60-90% kill rate. To achieve a similar escape rate in that range as survivor you need several times the skill and experience.
I also knew before these stats came out that people were greatly exaggerating the numbers of hours they've played the game. Streamers will brag about having 5K+ hours yet they just leave their game open while AFK or talking to their followers. Many of them probably do it on purpose so they can have a clickbait title like "10K hour Nurse winstreak!"

it’s buggy according to the stats page I’ve only used 4 killer perks in the entire game

I saw stats wrong. Disregard, hahaha. It won’t let me delete for some reason?

Mine is 1:56.
But it's not accurate, I had a lot of 5 gen chases.
It restarts after you "escape" from the killer, sadly.3 -
There is no way mine are accurate. I know since 2020 I've played way more than 900 hours as survivor. I currently have 6000+ hours on my Steam account. Not a chance I played 5000 hours between late 2017-2020. My only guess is that games I played while my steam profile was private or anonymous maybe were not counted? Maybe they aren't actually counting Lobby wait times?

Well at least now I can prove to the nay-sayers that I have 60% escape rate in solos… I've been saying for years that 40% average is extremely low… They have been lying to us for so long. I refuse to believe the average survivor is THAT bad, cause I'm not even that good myself and I escape well over that… 40% or lower is what you would expect from a brand new player. And all the survivors I see in my killer lobbies have 3-8k hours on their steam profiles, so… Explain that one away, please :)
-3 -
I like the statistics page. I don’t know when it’s actually tracking it since though because according to the page, I have 1000 hours in the game but on my PlayStation, I can literally see that I have over 2500 hours. With that being said, when you go to recent gameplay, it uploads it like immediately. I literally just played a match and was able to see it added to the stats tracker. So regardless of when it actually started tracking this at least going forward I think it is a good thing because it lets you see the overall.

To those who are confused about the hour count:
The stat tracker only tracks in-match time, not total in-game time (like Steam etc.) It also does not track time spent in limited time game modes, such as Chaos Shuffle or 2v8. All things considered, I think this is a great tool to see how we as players play the game.Anyways, these are my stats
General:Survivor:
Killer (Note: My low killrate is due to me loving to joke around with the survivors)
1 -
I consider myself a Pig main, but I am 3 hours of actual game time away from Pig having more hours than my previous main, The Legion (Susie)
0 -
With spending time in queues and blood web this all makes sence.
0 -
I had no recent killer match info because it was always Chaos Shuffle or 2v8 😅
2 -
Having 100% kill rate on Trickster. (got a 4k in both of the 2 matches I played him.)
Other than that, pretty much what I expected. Pig is on top of everything and Stbfl has a 60% pick rate.
1 -
My escape rate being 44%
0 -
How though? Are you just meme'ing all the time or are you new'ish? I'm using the vigil sprint build and I don't even have to play good to get 60% escape rate on that… No offense, just trying to understand.
-2 -
Because I though my scape rate was 20% or so. Not my main role and playing soloQ 99% of the time.
2 -
I play 100% solo Q only. And I used to be a killer main. My total hours played would still suggest I am. I only play survivor more in the last 1-2 years cause its so much more chill, and easy imo. Either way I am not surprised at all by my 60% escape rate. I have always known survivor is just easy mode if you know the game and don't get to many top 5 killers (which is the case for solo Q). What surprised me is that there are actually ppl below 50% that aren't new to the game…
-3 -
I am just kinda sad that they don't show the modifier stats, although they do save your matches on it. Since, they started doing modifiers, I have been pretty much only playing them and completely ignoring DbD's regular mode, not even playing the game while there is no event, so my stats for last year or so are basically non existent, outside of adept games for the new killers. I do wish they start including modifier stats soon.
1 -
I was surprised that freddy was my most deadly killer with a 84% kill rate, far over my main Dredge at 65%.
Escape rate were as i expected, about 46%
0 -
The rate of killers where you have more playtime is far more telling than those you play less. The more games you play, the more consistent the number becomes.
As I said before, I have 100% kill rate on Trickster. This says nothing though, because I only played him twice. Other killers, which I played for hundreds of hours have a lower but more telling kill rate.
0 -
The average escape rate is around 40-45%.
But there are several factors that comes into play, such as region, time of day, week-day or weekend, and what kind of killer you face against.
In my region (EU), the best time to play is usually at nighttime during the week-days. Matches has been the most chill at that time. I guess my 51% escape rate with Sable can somewhat prove it.Besides, I play mostly in a casual manner, unless I am specifically going for an achievement or a challenge.
1 -
I'm from EU too, play in the day, never at night. What does "play casual" mean though? Is this why the overall survival rate is so low? cause ppl play "casually"? I would be so saddening to know this is the case, that killer keeps getting nerfed due to most survivor players not playing to escape…
-1 -
Casual mindset means that you don't really care about the end result, you are just there to have some fun.
1 -
That's a crazy number. Even if they toss out time in menus, lobbies, loading, events, and any trial with a DC that still seems nuts.
2 -
I don't care about the end result either, solo Q and all… But I still start the match playing to escape/win… So is casual rly enter match and just do silly stuff and die? Cause that would explain a lot to me, the 40% survival rate etc… My issue with that is that BHVR balances th game (obviously) to those stats… so anyone playing proper is screwed.
-1 -
Hmm after all that time i think i know why Legion is my main/
But still dont get it. Why hillbilly is 3d? And wesker is 2nd?
During 2024 i played ONLY on billy. And still he has a highest killrate possible. And still 3d :(0 -
I wanted to look at the page but I don‘t know which email address is linked to my dbd account
0 -
I still can't believe I'm a Pig Main.
5 -
I'm kinda... Concerned about the kill rate on my main killer...
My escape rate is also very low, but i usually play pure soloQ and mostly try to help others than escaping by myself so it's a normal number i guess
Also, how do i have such a high kill rate on sadako 😭
0 -
Survivor is "easy mode" for you, maybe. But that's an exceptionally high escape rate and not the norm. My rate is at 35% which is lower than average and yes, I am actually trying my best to escape.
If BHVR buffed Killers around Survivors that have 60%+ escape rates, I would probably never escape a trial again.
4 -
It's 100 percent bugged. I have 4K hours on Steam and it says I have played 457 hours in match. So unless I've been afk or queued in lobby for over 3.5K hours… I started playing in December of 2019. I have trapper close to P100 and it says I only have 5.2 hours with him. I did turn on cross progression so I'm wondering if it's only counting from when I activated that.
0 -
100%, I've sync my Epic and Steam account 3 weeks ago, and my "all time" stats contains exactly that 3 weeks. (Quest progress were also be reseted to null during the sync)
1 -
If my stats are to be believed, I spent 3.5k hours in queue. I somehow doubt that one a lot lol
2 -
Biggest surprise for me was I have just under 66% escape rate when using sprintburst, using it's precentage picked with my total games played means I've used it in 44 matches total, which is a small enough sample size it could fluctuate but it's big enough of a sample size that it is significant to me considering my escape rate overall is 50.80%. Other than that it all matches the feel test. I've always felt like I escape a bit more then I die and since these stats encompass my newbie days back before MMR when I'd get regularly slaughtered and barely escape that seems to bear out in the data. My overall kill rate of 77.36% feels right because if I had guess before the stats came out I'd have guess I'd have a rate of about 80%. The kill rates on the killers weren't overly surprising killers I knew I struggled with were at the bottom Knight, Nurse, Hillbilly, Chucky, and Oni. Whereas the three killers I play the most, Artist, Plague and Singularity were ranked 3-5 in kill rate with the top two spots going to Vecna and Unknown, both killers I enjoy playing but don't play all that much. Was a little surprised how much I struggle on Oni, I know I'm not very good with him but I figured Hillbilly would have been my worst killer. Also I spent the time plotting my kill rates into a bar graph for easy viewing for myself to see which killers out perform my average, I included springtrap in it despite only playing three games as him doing his adept so he's bound to rise up the ranks once I start playing him with actual builds and get used to his power. But for anybody that is interested for easy viewing, my kill rates from somebody according to the stats has 915.2 hours in killer and 1248.8 hours in survivor.

Another factor would be how much time you played before killer role was buffed so much. I exclusively play solo Q and my older P100 Nea & Claudette have a significantly higher escape rate than my newer Lara Croft main, even though I have significantly better game sense and running ability than in 2020-2022 when I was maining Nea and Claudette.
Apparently I've gotten worse at the game…nope. They just keep buffing killers so you can keep improving your skills and game knowledge as a solo Q player and your average escape rate will likely still decrease compared to years ago. It's a very lame feeling to not be rewarded for actually learning to play more skillfully. Joining a 4 man SWF with 3rd party comms and Reshade filters really just ruins the spirit of DBD…which is not CS GO.
What's more relevant is the escape rate in your past 30 days assuming you've been highly active, because obviously playing 1 match in the past 30 days won't be an accurate metric. Playing with a competitive 4 man SWF team will inflate escape rate, and so will having played a ton of hours played in the pre 6.1 era of 2020-2022.
3 -
I have been quite active over the past two months or so. I am also mostly playing solo or duo. Not sweating in a 4-man SWF.

maybe I missed it - but I can't see the proof of that escape rate in this thread. - Maybe you shared it elsewhere? Care to take another screenshot and post here, cause I'm really curious about the recent (the 30 days one) total stats breakdown and perks breakdown 🤗
2 -
40% escape rate is the average. that's not low. it's literally the average. half of players are below 40%, the other half are above 40%. we don't really know what the exact spread is but i imagine it's pretty tight; having an escape rate above 50% likely puts you in the top 85% of players. at 60% you're likely nearing the top 98% of the player base.
-1 -
I have most likely way more hours on Billy. As you see in this thread, many people say that the hours do not really seem to be right.
And nah, sorry, I just am not part of this echo chamber of people who claim to be at the highest MMR and act in this Forum as if they would still lose way more than they win. Sorry to disappoint you. :( You really thought you had me there.
2 -
It's kinda funny that ppl are still gonna ask for proof, even tho its perfectly possible now… ppl will still not believe you :D
The thing you have to understand is that my build specifically, most killers will rarely, if ever chase. I hope I don't start a trend, even tho I'm pretty sure it alrdy is. I see many ppl use this build or a variation of it. and I hate chasing it myself. That is also why my longest chase time is so low. Cause I rarely get real chases.
3 -
No idea. Probably someone who had an account before and got banned. Some people on this Forum do not like people who think otherwise. Which is quite concerning, but it is what it is.

to be fair you did the last 30 days and not all-time. this is me for the last 30 days. it looks very similar to yours except 4x the hours
