Subjective. I think there have been a lot of fun and strong killers.

survivors just call anything boring when they fail to win against it 100% of the time.

Killer isn't meant to be entertainment for survivors. And there is limitation of how fun he can be to go against while strong at the same time.

I enjoy going against Wesker when everything is running smoothly. Not so fun if a grab connects when it really shouldn't have - saying that I've been against him and wondered how I didn't get hit too

I am really sorry if I main a unfun killer, The Clown. However, I'll make it up to you by playing meme builds on him!

Houndmaster, Ghoul, Dracula, Vecna, Chucky, Alien all just feel the same and it doesn’t feel like a change in gameplay. 6/8 killers that have released have been snooze fest and I’ve been forced to take multiple breaks from the game.

Houndmaster don’t have to explain extremely boring I will never enjoy playing against this killer call the dog, grab me, free hit rinse repeat.

Ghoul free hit with no effort for injure, zone me with the leap hit make stupid noises rinse reapeat.

Dracula same thing zone me for free hit pull out the hand for a hit rinse repeat same with the dog.

Vecna kinda fun to play against outplaying the use of mage hand or whatever after that boring M1 killer.

Chucky extremely boring only one way to down doesn’t have much of a kit. Get snd on cooldown zone rinse repeat.

Alien come out the tunnel get a hit zone or get hit over a pallet or small loop.

So what's the point of surviviors playing the GAME? Games are supposed to be fun.

Indeed. So if someone is not having fun, then they don't have to play it.

Honestly I think BHVR has been doing fairly well lately when it comes to making sure a killer is also fun to go against. Vecna, Dracula and Houndmaster are all fun to verse for me because they have a fair amount of counterplay, Kaneki is probably the exception here who I don't enjoy as much.

As a Vecna Player, I try to be friendly enough, only when I get flash bombed do I usually decide to kill as many as possible. Beyond that, I am more then happy to let people go, was outjuked by a group of three, the Lara nearly made it to the exit, got her down before she could leave, decided she earned that win, so I dropped her back at the entrance and let her crawl out. The only people I am adamant about not leaving, as a personal rule, are those who find my eye or hand, everyone else can leave for all I care, the hunting and the smashing of pallets and generators gives me all the bloodtokens I need. So! If you see a Vecna who hunts but only swings to injure, not down… except for when your party member found an eye or hand, that is probably me.

Tbh what killer is fun for survivor?

Many survivors enjoy killers like wesker, huntress, wraith and to my suprise blight. So every trap killer, killers that get first hit or have some solid/unfun antiloop, ai power (knight, houndmaster) are unfu for the most.

So next killer to be fun must be some well endowed lady with dash power.

Houndmaster - she ist that strong after nerf, quite easy to doge the hound and if you dont want to think whe playing against her just camp paletts and wait when dog grabs you on her move thats all, look behind your self when you hear a whistle

Ghoul - almost free hit after the nerf of the grab(harder than legion), cant shift+w him and he cant use power after breaking palett so no brute force catch up/zoning, he must m1 you to go down, sounds can be irritating, he is strong but he has counterplay (more than blight, nurse, singularity, billy)

Dracula- strong kit with 3 powers that can be good in many sitiations still his hellfire is easy to doge, wolf is just wesker/demo hybrid, bat can be more juked than spirit, he is quite hard but strong killer

Vecna- just weaker version of dracula with more counterplay and some bugs that will be fixed this patch

Chucky- in his second weakest state he ever been, nothing crazy and super rare killer to face

Alien- after his last changes his tail got solid nerf and counterplay for it is now solid just like against nemi, you have flame turrets that slow him down and tell you how far he is plus when he exits tunnel, easier to bait on windows and palets now he cant drag it like nemi, after all just avarage killer and super rare more than chucky and vecna

First three I get you dont like them but last three you mentioned are quite rare to get and thea arent super strong killers (houndmaster too) but I get it its hard to do good against them when you seem them like 1 in 90 games or something like that.

With dash power I think it would get more sales than Five Nights at Freddys.

There are killers that are both strong and fun to go against. Billy, Wesker, Blight, Dracula, Huntress, Spirit, Oni are the ones that I enjoy playing against and are usually in the B tier or higher in most tier lists. Even Nurse is fun to play against if she’s not controlled by a god-like player who never misses blinks.

I mean, yeah. Sexiness sells, no matter what some morons will tell you. And Lady Dimitrescu will have a lot of gooner survivors begging for her to kill them.

I enjoy killers that are chase oriented and offer counter play on the survivor side to feel rewarding. Wesker, Unknown, Wraith, Blight, Nurse, Billy, Nemesis, Artist, Dredge.

Ngl literally all of the reasons you listed were nothing but "They hit me"

    ????

Brotha uninstall the game evidently you aren't having fun.

im sorry, i don't get it, u just listed killers using their powers, like what?
im a killer main and all but tbh what is there to do exactly not use the killer power?

as a matter of fact neither the survivor nor the killer enjoys playing houndmaster, that dog will drive u crazy not to mention aiming him towards anything feels like playing another game

maybe consider taking a break tbh, cuz not everyone wants to play m1 killers, hell m1 killers are still struggling and with the upcoming changes they will suffer more so expect even more of those killers

Im curious about this, how is Nemesis a good design and engaging in chase while Alien is not (you mentionned Alien in your first post).

Nemesis's tentacle has a 0.35s windup while Alien has 0.3, so it's almost the same. Old Alien was 0.2s which made the tail strike unreactable and complained about, but now they are very, very similar in term of actual counterplay.

Tentacle is even stronger with more range and utility while Alien has to deal with infinite turrets that forces it to eat a "free bodyblock" and be revealed at all time.

I don't know if this is bias towards Alien or Nemesis or if i am missing something but saying Nemesis is healthy and Alien isn't in a chase scenario is a bit of a mystery to me.

I'd say, Nemesis is even more difficult to hold in chase compared to Alien, especially if you have turrets nearby.

So… half of the game isn’t meant to be fun? Why would the devs even bother then?

  • Elan
    Elan Member Posts: 1,447

Game is fun to me and all people that play it. If anyone doesn't enjoy the game then why bothering playing it? Just go play something else.

  • GentlemanFridge
    GentlemanFridge Member Posts: 6,470

    That’s not what you wrote.

You wrote “not meant to be entertaining”. That means that means that devs did not intend for survivor gameplay to be fun. That’s different from players having differing opinions.

  • Elan
    Elan Member Posts: 1,447

That was about killer "fun to go against" potential. Fun of the game doesn't rely only on killer that you face, does it?

Killers objective is to eliminate survivors, therefore they need good enough kit to do so. And balancing fun element of the power with strenght of the power doesn't work as you wish.

    EXAMPLES:

Skull merchant was always pretty bad killer, D tier at best. But she was so insanely unfun and boring to go against that they nuked her. (Being weak x being unfun to verse)

Nurse was always top killer and only Blight, Billy and maybe Kaneki can see her spot from pretty afar. (strong x unfun to verse)

Pig (insanely weak x fun to verse)

Onryo (weak x unfun to verse)

Wesker (strong x fun to verse)

Unknown (strong x fun to verse)

I kinda agree, but because I'm a bad survivor (not my main role).

In other worlds, a lot of killers lately seems designed to be countered by more or less good players (unless the killer player is very bad).

Bacasically I only enjoy playing against M1s with very few exceptions, Wesker being one in fact.

  • Abbzy
    Abbzy Member Posts: 2,274

Now alien wont be too gar from nemesis his tail is easier to react now but his tunnels should work now as intended, devs said they fixe the issue for many killers spawning chests before killer objectives/powers, so this change made killers like alien, sadako much harder to play or leave sadoko almost powerless. From what I have seen with springtrap his doors spawn next every gen sometimes facing the gen which is huge for many killers like alien.

Idk if its effects killers like wesker, nemi chests and singularity emps but I think it does so its small nerf for them and maybe small buff for plague if it effects fontains too.

No he doesn't. Pig is a LOT better than people give her credit for. She had a good amount of buffs that make her a decently strong c-tier killer.

People are just so used to her being underwhelming, that the always resort to calling her weak while not even trying to understand her strengths.

It affects every killers with a killer item, so Springtrap, Xenomorph, Nemesis, Wesker, Singularity, Freddy etc etc. I tested it as Springtrap and as Xenomorph and it worked perfectly.

It makes Xenomorph waaay stronger than before. Having your tunnels next to generators consistently instead of in whatever corner they would spawn before is game changing. Xeno was already my favorite killer before, but now, even more.

Xenomorph is so close to perfection (imo of course) with every changes it received lately. Tail is more fair toward survivors and less punishing for the Xenomorph and the tunnels spawn pattern is now consistent (which is insanely comfy).

I would reinforce the stealth component of the Xenomorph by adjusting the turrets motion tracker and adding lingering undetectable when exiting a tunnel just like Springtrap. After that, well, it's perfect.

Having a "Scratch mirror" add on would be the cherry on top. For the add on, replace cat carrier with a no turrets, no crawler mode, m1 only, bigger footsteps detection and perma undetectable and it's purfection.

She is still underhelming, if she cant get downs fast she will struggle a lot thats why most pigs tunnel a lot because they need too.

  • radiantHero23
    radiantHero23 Member Posts: 5,061

Pig is the only killer in the game that gets rewarded for NOT tunneling. I agree, that her main issue is her early game. Thats why I usually use lethal to get my first down quickly.

Shes underwhelming compared to your typical a-tier killer. For me, she couldnt be more perfect. Depends on what you want from a killer.

  • Abbzy
    Abbzy Member Posts: 2,274

She has lot of things exept mobility and her stealth is kinda weak, her dash attack is probably weakest in the game, only thing that stands up is her slowdown with traps but you need down fast on new survivors and that is thing she struggles. I think she got another undirect nerf, her boxes have the same spawn place as other killer things so now it should spawn near gens not somewhere in the corner of the map which will hurt her little just like save the best nerf etc..

  • radiantHero23
    radiantHero23 Member Posts: 5,061

Piggy has great stealth with jmf (John's medical file)

Ambush can outplay tiles, many killer can only dream of (Moondash)

Map mobility is an issue but you don't need it as much if you can play your cards right with the traps.

Her main issue is just early game. If she can get traps out, Pig is very decent. Good teams know that and will try to prevent that from happening.

  • Nazzzak
    Nazzzak Member Posts: 7,356

If someone is tunnelling with Pig then honestly, they need to find a different killer. She has built in passive slowdown (traps), and tunnelling just throws that away. I actually love playing Pig but people who tunnel with her confuse me. The trap keeps the survivor/s busy while Pig applies pressure elsewhere.
