Is there a 3rd way to escape or am i just unlucky.

i was playing killer, 1 survivor left, hatch closed, less than 1/4 on the timer, door no progress, no one brought keys and no luck boosting offering.
Still the last one escaped. How?

    Even if no key was brought into the match, it's possible that one could have been obtained during the trial, either with certain perks or getting lucky with a chest.

    probably just very unlucky then, the chance to get a purple key endgame must be so slim
