There's definitely gonna be an incoming nerf to Springtrap hold axe movespeed his zoning is extremely strong with no counterplay for survivors

Yeh this, plus his haste addons need a big nerf for sure. I alrdy stopped playing survivor, cause literally every Springtrap is running that stupid haste build which has no counter, other than god loops. And even those he can still throw his axe over god pallets…

When? From PTB to live, or after it went live? Cause I played against some Springtraps yesterday and they literally outran my sprint bursts… You get no distance running in a straight line, at all.

Its like saying clown is OP because he has 10% Haste all game if he spams his bottles. If we nerfed Springtraps Addons again they will be pointless to use

Not sure if you are being sarcastic right now or… I'm pretty sure you are just trying to justify yourself buying that killer and not wanting to see it nerfed. I would rather play against a nurse right now, than springtraps.
Of course I don't run in a straight line in reality. I said that to make a point that you literally can't reach anything when he is coming out of that door at top speed. You make zero distance from him, making sprint burst completely useless against that build. Running in a straight line with sprint burst for its duration, coming out of sprint burst, he will literally be in range of a hit right behind you.
When I use sprint burst against a nurse, at least I will make her miss, and make distance… See the difference?
When I use sprint burst against kaneki, I make friggin distance, I just sprint burst in the other direction from his leap.
I can make a Billy miss by sprinting…
Do I need to go more down the list of top killers? My sprint burst is usefull against every single killer, except springtrap cause for some reason he has easy access to a massive haste boost…
PS: Im a 2016 player with 60% SOLO escape rate, there is no skill issue here. I know what I am talking about.

1 no one wants there stuff nerfed. 2 not every killer should be counter with Haste perks. 3 it was probably a meme build that's supposed to be annoying. 4 Springtrap has the highest Skill Ceilling in a long long time which means he's the hardest killer to learn rn so nerfing everything would lead to him unperforming all together making players not play him. 5 he's extremely buggy rn as expected tbh so it could be a bug there where moments where I was faster than normal with him. It could be a problem with him gaining Haste while entering a Door. There is multiple things wrong with him making him unable to play against. 6 if he was nerfed to the ground that can lead to multiple legal issues with the License because he's unplayable. We need to make him fun for both sides not just one

the only way I got use out of the Live version of the Celebrate poster was when I paired it with Unbound and Superior anatomy. By giving both me and the survivor 12% haste, and 20% vault, I was able to achieve 60% faster vault, and an additional 7 % haste to finally outrun my target survivor. Basically, I needed to employ 2 perks to give me the advantage, and hope the survivor runs for a window vault instead of a pallet. Unfortunately, I only got the combo to work 1 time. With practice, I could potentially take more advantage of it, but honestly, without those assisting perks, it's just not an add-on worth using. It gives far too much advantage to not only the survivor you chase, but also anyone else in range of it, even if the others only use the speed boost to get to their objectives faster. I've shelved that add-on and hope they'll re-work it somehow… such a shame.
Foxy's Hook as well; It's basically a less effective Clown invigoration bottle. However, I have gotten more use out of it than the Poster, so at least its not entirely useless, just highly situational.

maybe sprint burst just isn't the perk for Springtrap?
sprint burst is already a top tier survivor perk. it's okay for something else like Overcome to overcome it.

from ptb to live they nerfed it by lowering the haste but adding faster vault speed so you're hindering yourself if you use it

Precisely. Huntress on a recent ptb proved how strong and easy zoning with a drawn hatchet and increased movement speed is, which is why her speed buff never made it to live. Now springtrap is doing exactly what she did on the ptb and apparently it's fine?

Yeah, lack of movement speed penalty is definetly an issue, but easy to change…

She has multiple, he's on cooldown. If he hits, he has to chase down, she doesn't.

Isn't he supposed to be faster at walking with the axe because Springtrap has a 7 second cooldown if he misses and a 10 second cooldown if he lands? It's not like the huntress who can throw 7 hatchets at you in a row... I guess that's why?

The only changes he needs are fixes to the door spawn logic so they don't just get placed in a way where it's a guaranteed free hit.

Not only that, but the haste effects everyone, so it literally does nothing. In fact, it buffs survivors since they vault faster too.

SpringTrap is fine as is. Those 2 haste add ons been nerfed from PTB so they're not that great since survivors also get the haste. Might as well complain about Clown, they're both very strong in a 1v1 chase, but have no potential for snowballing like other killers can. Being faster than Huntress when they have an axe raised is fine he has a 7-10 second cooldown that's short-mid range then becomes a useless M1 killer while Huntress can rapidly throw her hatchets several times.

Huntress is much bigger zoner than springtrap more he hold his axe it tends to fall more down which is good on low profile loops but hitting someone on shack wall is harder with this, there are much stronger zoners than him like huntress,pyramidhead, most of dash killers. The problem is he is now the most picked killer which make sence because he came out 10 days ago but some people are fed up with him, just wait his pick rate will drop. Now theres even bug with him when he stays 4,4 m/s which is huge cahnge to the game outcome when it happens and to his zoning his fire axe is easir to doge than huntress whe he is zoning you so just use eyes and try force him to miss dont run straight trough window like chicken just use ears (his notofication for his axe is loud) and eyes and try to bait him.

When he holds axe his axe doesnt slow but will fall more down so its harder for him to land long shots, when huntress hold hatchet her hatchet is charging and getting faster, then its much harder to doge on top of that his fire axe hitbox is much smaller than huntress hatchet and when he miss he will be m1 for 7 seconds. Some players just want m1 behind them so they dont need to think in chase I guess.

springtrap doesn’t need to go out of his way to reload like huntress does. As a huntress main it pisses me off she didn’t get her speed buffs but its fine on springtrap. I play both killers and I honestly think he needs to be nerfed or she needs to be buffed. It can’t be healthy on one but not the other.

Except both sadako and xenomorph have very clear and loud directional audio cues that can't be drowned about by being around the corner and by gen noises like the door opening for springtrap can. Also they also take a lot longer to actually come out and be ready to hit compared to springtrap.

It's kind of odd that the devs tried Shiny Pin basekit with Huntress, and it was a disaster. Then they gave it to Springtrap and thought it would promote a fun gameplay loop. Same thing happened with Kaneki. Chucky lost his OG Scamper into M1, as it promoted a boring, uninteresting gameplay loop. But then they gave it to Kaneki.
Springtrap doesn't really need a nerf in terms of strength. But it's so strange to me that the devs keep reusing mechanics that seem to be almost universally detested.

There is counterplay - don't be out of position. if you're not in a deadzone, which is your own fault anyway, holding M2 does nothing.

How do you avoid being caught out of position by a killer that can teleport around the map and spend basically the entire match Undetectable?

He can only teleport to set locations at gens. There's tells at every single door he teleports to. Learn them. Run away. It's not hard.

You can't tell if he's coming from a door unless it's right in front of you with the panel clearly visible. And if he goes to the next door over, he can walk over with Undetectable. Now, you'll hear him walking, but you won't be able to get far unless you have Sprint Burst, and unlike every other stealth killer he actually has a pretty fearsome chase power.

they would have to compensate that a lot because this is genuinely the only thing this killer has going for him that gives him any consistency whatsoever.
i agree its boring and i try to avoid using it, but anything else he has is just bad.
it's really disappointing how the kit just fails to deliver a viable fun gameplay loop, all you can do is just go back to hooks and zone.
