Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Refusing to get up?

How does a console player do this? I just had a guy on xbox stay downed but he was totally unable to be interacted with.

Either, it's a bug, or cheaters are still able to mimic being on other platforms. Only the two logical explanations I can come up with.

It's been awhile since I played but on PS if you press the run button (I think it's that button) it'll cancel interactions when you're slugged and if you hold it down it'll prevent interactions from other survivors entirely.

If you hold the Sprint button while you are downed or even injured, you cannot be healed You don't even have to be running to get this to work. Don't move and hold Sprint then see if anyone can heal you. A lot of people don't know this. There really is no purpose for it other than using a perk like Plot Twist successfully without a teammate interrupting you. If someone wants to be downed and not let you heal them just to screw the team over then unfortunately they can do that as well.

I wouldn’t say this is entirely true. When you’re being healed, you are locked in place until the heal is finished, the healer stops, or you stop the healer by holding run.

There have been plenty of instances where my healer wasn’t paying attention, and didn’t see the killer coming, when i did.

It's 100% true. Not sure what you're on about. I'm just saying that if you press the Sprint button when being healed, you interrupt the heal and as long as you continue to hold it, you cannot be healed. What about that isn't true?

Mostly the "this serves no purpose part". That was unclear on my end, mb.

Ahh no harm done. I guess I meant it serves no purpose good enough for it to be in the game imo. I mean, the fact that you can stop people from healing you by doing this is a real troll move if done to hinder the team.

Without it a killer/survivor team up are able to troll a slugged survivor. A survivor picks up slug, killer instantly downs them, and repeat process extending the bleed out timer. It's then on the slugged survivor to record, upload the recording to YouTube, submit a ticket to prove the two players griefed them, and then hope BHVR takes action. It happened to me when a killer was farming except for some reason only chose to farm with the other 3 survivors and use me as the plaything, I gave them 3 pickups before I held the run button down - once they realized they couldn't heal me anymore the killer hooked me and I was able to move onto a new match. Without being able to stop heals I would've been stuck in that match for much longer.

Being able to cancel a heal because you saw the killer when the healer is too focused on skill checks popping up is an important feature. There are times when you're crawling and need to get to a better location before being picked up, the only way to communicate that if solo is to not let someone heal you until you get to where you need to go.

That sounds terrible and although I've never ran into this specific situation before, I guess it does help get out of those types of niche situations. I find it hard to believe opposite teams would work together to ruin the game for someone. Pretty sad that it has to even be considered. :/

Yes, when I see someone under a pallet making a 'no' gesture with their body, I know it's either Flip Flop and Power Struggle and/or Boil Over, etc. I leave 'em.
