BHVR - Bring back Map Offerings please! 🙏🏻
I've spent the last few years completing Daily Rituals and Tome Challenges to earn Bloodpoints for map offerings, specifically Midwich and RPD. I love these two maps playing as both Killer and Survivor - the multi-levels help with my aurora reading abilities as The Shape and The Pig and Balanced Landing as Survivor. Now I only have a 20% chance of playing these maps with an offering! Why would you do this, BHVR? After nearly 4,000 hours I only need Bloodpoints to obtain map offerings but now that has been taken away! 🤦♂️
Map offerings do not provide any advantage - I would still get destroyed by good Survivor teams and good Killers with my map offerings. But the point is I had fun playing on the maps I enjoy. Now its completely random with a likely scenario of receiving horrible corn maps and Autohaven! In conclusion, BHVR took a great feature of this game and removed it for no reason and made the experience for players much worse! Did the company get bought out by Rockstar or EA Games? I would expect such disrespect to the fan base from those companies but not from BHVR. 😨

I had two Scratched Mirror Myers bring map offerings for Midwich and we all wound up on Ormond. It was painful to watch.

I think if a Scratched Mirror Myers burns a map offering, it should be guaranteed. Scratched Mirror does not deserve the utter destruction that comes with this map offering change.
Edit: Geez, guys, does no one know how to have fun responding to something like this anymore? Test the waters, see if it's serious, give a slightly even more unlikely option as a response. Where's the "Yeah, this is the death of Scratched Mirror. If BHVR doesn't want to throw a funeral for him, then the add-on should automatically take Myers to indoor maps. But only the really good indoor maps." so I or someone faster on the keyboard could respond "All stealth killers are suffering. Either only take stealth killers to good indoor maps or give them all projectile weapons." and so and so forth with each response becoming more and more unlikely until we get someone saying "And after a survivor dies to Ghost Face's shrapnel grenade, GF should automatically pop up behind the player, say 'boo!', and then draw a smiley face on their screen with a permanent marker." Or you coulda just taken this as an obituary and been like, "Yes, it's a sad day for Myers." (One response like that. One.) Yes, I know, my bad for being too subtle. Stupid Poe's Law; I could've started with that last bit about grenades and probably still been taken literally. And don't you dare try to do this conversation now when I've already provided the script; if nothing else that would be extremely lazy.
Seriously, though. BHVR is not good at balancing maps. Their best idea for balancing Eyrie of Crows for killers was to make a nearly empty sister map. (At least it worked in that the number of solo queue teammates burning the Crow's Eye offering dropped severely after that.) I'm sad that there are unique killer builds that get really screwed over by the map RNG. BHVR needs to do something about balancing maps; no, giving certain killers special treatment ain't it. It sucks that some maps are terrible for stealth killers while others are terrible for projectile killers. It sucks that some maps are miserable for survivors. I don't think anyone is happy about the overall state of map balance.

Exactly! I main as Scratched Mirror Myers and at least I had a fighting chance with map offerings. Now I just get thrown into Mothers Dwelling and get clowned 🤡 by Survivors. Its horrible!

tbh it is time for Scratched Mirror to get buffed. Let him move at normal movement speed and have a full lunge.

No, if they decide to gut Map Offerings, everyone should have the same consequences. I probably would have thought different a few years ago where Scratched Mirror Myers was actually a fun build which people did not take too seriously, but nowadays it was only used to camp with the Wallhacks and the lack of Terror Radius, since people put on a Meme Build and still wanted to 4K with it. Which really made the build unfun to go against (and it used to be one of the most fun experiences to play against).
@Topic:
IMO Map Offerings should either be 100% or not exist at all. I dont care too much for them, never really used them, but having to pay BPs for them and using them instead of a BP-Offering, just to still not get the Map you want to get is just bad. And since they dont want to make them 100% again, they should just retire Map Offerings.

No. Map offerings should go entirely. Or change them so, that it increases the chances of NOT getting that specific realm on the next match

I feel like a map voting system would be cool, but, with it being assymetrical there is no fair way they could do that.
I don't think any killer nor survivor should get special treatment for these offerings.0 -
Strongly disagree. Map offerings are the only good feature keeping me playing after 3,000+ hours. What is the purpose of Bloodpoints after this many hours? I just played 8 matches in a row where my map offerings were rejected in all of them. I ended up getting sent to Backwater Swamp twice, Autohaven, Dead Sands, and corn maps! I hated it - even escaped as Survivor several matches but still didn't have fun on those maps. If you take away map offerings, then at least offer a dedicated server that runs a short map rotation that players can choose to play on.

My comment wasn't meant to be taken that seriously. I lament the destruction of Scratched Mirror Myers. I don't actually expect the game to give him special treatment.
IMO Map Offerings should either be 100% or not exist at all.
I agree with this. Map offerings are way too expensive for a 20% chance. In this state, they're just a BP drain and unwanted Bloodweb clutter.

There’s honestly not much true horror left in the game anymore. Stealth killers on indoor maps are one of the few things that still create real tension and genuine scares and that’s exactly what Dead by Daylight should be embracing.
For a game that calls itself the "hall of fame of horror," it feels like it’s becoming everything but horror, especially if stealth killers can’t even use their indoor map offerings to play to their strengths.

Speaking as someone who had to deal with a Autohaven, Midwich, or Eyrie offering almost every other match prior to the nerf, you're going to have to forgive me for not being sympathetic whatsoever.
They 100% provided a gameplay advantage by virtue of maps being unbalanced and some being heavily favoured to one side, pretending otherwise is wilful ignorance at best.
BHVR didn't go far enough by making them only 20%, they should have been removed in their entirety.

Exactly. I barely used them before, but will now never use them again. I just dont want to burn an Offering, just to be on a different Map and think "Damn, that could have been a Survivor Pudding/Escape Cake instead".
In general, I think that changing Map Offerings in such a way is just the lazy approach. The respective Maps still have their issues and they should have kept Map Offerings at 100%, but start working on said maps. Or if they lower the chances to get a specific Map, they could have just removed the Offerings.
Yes, but for every Stealth Killer who might burn a Midwich Offering there will be a Nurse who does the same. And it sucks. Or a SWF who sends you to Badham.

Not gonna lie, I think only true stealth killers should have the option to force indoor maps, not just anyone running a perk like Insidious. It should be tied to the killer’s design and playstyle.
I’m talking about killers like Ghost Face, The Shape (but only when using Scratched Mirror, which should be easy to detect), The Pig, and Wraith. These killers are built around stealth and actually bring the horror element to life especially on tight, indoor maps.

- I'm fine with the current system, but at this point map offers cost too many BP for the little value they have. Considering that "Sacrificial Ward" costs so few BP, the current system really doesn't make sense (in my opinion). I feel sorry for stealth killer , this current system must apply to everyone or no one. After all the current system was loudly requested above all by the main killers

Its a skill issue if a player blames a particular map for a loss. I've escaped many Killer-sided maps as Survivor and I've gotten many 4Ks as Killer on Survivor-sided maps. It depends on the skill of your teammates and the Killer and the add-ons rather than the map. Arguing that a map caused you to lose a match is nothing but a cop out.

ehm no. We are Finally, free from this damn thing. And If map offerings were the only reason you keep playing DBD, then yeah… maybe it’s time to move on.

"Map offerings do not provide any advantage"
-1 -
Yes, it was the map that caused me to lose. Now that map offerings are gone, I'll win every match!

lmao not even close to what I said but go off.
