What if Cameras did more?
So it's very obvious nobody uses the camera system cause Aura reveal just ain't worth it so what if Springtrap got revealed it also prevented him from using doors for [insert duration here]?

Probably not a great idea, preventing him from using the doors entirely would just mean that survivors have free, unimpeded movement around the map which would be pretty over the top punishing for the killer. The point of the doors is that they're meant to be high risk, high reward for survivors and something you have to keep checks on as the killer.

Considering the massive bugs going on with springtrap, I feel like any changes should wait til its fixed. Atm, a huge reason no one is using cameras is because they dont want to trigger a bug for the rest of the match.

I think this would be too big of a change. In general, if a Killer releases, the first set of changes (aside from Bugfixes of course) should be to the Add Ons, since this is the least impactful step. E.g. I can see Bonnies Guitar Strings being nerfed or reworked, since the Add On is nuts. But this would overall be a mild nerf to his Kit.
Preventing him from entering doors would be a huge Nerf to his Kit. And one of the more unfun ones as well, since not being able to use your power as Killer is most likely the worst thing, see the general negative perception of Overheat when it was a thing.
But I have to agree that the cameras are not really worth it for Survivors, but I think disabling Springtraps ability to use the Doors is a bit too much.

If he just couldn't use the doors for the duration of the reveal from the camera it would be extremely balanced. He is only revealed for 10 seconds. But this is just a blanket fix for bigger balance issues he has.

That would be enough for a lost chase entirely since he couldn't follow survivors through the doors. Survivors being chased could just run through the first door they see if he chased them.

Yeah I agree with the above poster too. Survivors could just escape chases through doors for free if springtrap was prevented from entering them. It also creates the secondary problem of him being a noobstomper where solos have a hard time contending with him while SWF's can just completely neuter him with coordination.

What does he have left if you nerf bonnies strings? Greasy paper plate? Guard badge? Xelebrate poster and foxys hook already got gutted and bonnies strings got a downwide. Might aswel remove all addons from springtrap while we are at it...

Bonnie's Guitar Strings is easily one of the best add-ons in the game and it isn't even close. In fact it could be completely removed from the game completely and he would still be an A tier killer.

Hell no hes mid b at best hes just a sluggish huntress with map mobility attached
0 -
He is a better huntress with one of the fastest first hit to down times in the game, full map teleporting that is incredibly quiet and spawns him within spitting distance of gens, undetectable for at least 20 seconds, along with 2 instant pickups. He is more than fine if he doesn't also get full map knowledge every single time he steps foot into the doors.

Ah yes the axe grab wich is impossible to get bc of how fast you can remove that axe. Oh and springtrap does get slowed down when holding/throwing the axe massivly at that (92% movement speed if im not mistaken) plus after hitting the axe he cannot interact with anything for like 3-4 seconds
-2 -
Springtrap slows to 3.68m/s when holding his axe, Huntress slows to 3.08m/s. Has the same windup speed as huntress, and gets an instant pickup from it unless the survivor uses a haste perk (which never comes up because his best build uses Mindbreaker). Do I also need to say how he gets boosted to 115% after throwing the axe for some god forsaken reason? He is overtuned. He is a Jack of All Trades that very easily excels in multiple categories.
-2 -
Idk if its a bug but he CANNOT instantly pickup from axe injury since the survivor gains the default injure speedboost and hes 115% to try and get those axe grabs and during that time hes an m1 killer

Iridescent Remnant is kinda busted as well.

aura reveal is very strong on survivors why would it need more

- I would put a safe with locks in the center of the map, take these locks and put them on the armored door. The killer can obviously open the door anyway, but it takes a couple of seconds longer. Currently armored doors are absolutely useless from a surv point of view (in fact nobody uses them), they waste time and are too risky

then survivors shouldnt be able to use doors as mobility and the camera control should be done from the office with 5 second long exit animation so that the grabs still happen and there's a reasonable risk to being able to rob killer from map mobility.
you dont really expect them to just gigabuff an already excessive counter mechanic against like a High B tier-very low A killer, right?

I find the door reveals are excessively useful. You give anyone in a chase guaranteed info to use in loops. It makes them entirely immune to being mindgamed and them be able to perfectly counter the killer's every movement. Having long term aura read on a killer during chase is absolutely gold. Usually you have to bring in a key with appropriate addons to get that, but even that is limited with charges. If you cam reveal him at a killer shack chase, that survivor isnt going down without at least 2 gens getting completed over it. It'll effectively make most killers give up chase. If you bring killer to killer shack with someone on cams, you turn killer shack into a safe zone.
