Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

How more costly is the new bloodweb mass spending?

It mentions that it allows you to mass progress to a level of the bloodweb, but at a higher bloodweb costs, what does that mean specifically?

    I assume…

it means they just get an average value for the web. possibly using a formula, possibly by simulating it and getting the price of half of everything in it, possibly just a static cost in each blood web level.

but, when you do it yourself you can go for lower value stuff, make the entity take more nodes… etc. so they are just being honest and saying "you can do it better by hand".

edit (forgot to answer the question…): therefore… how much more it costs can't really be answered. but it is more.

    Agree with Alice,

It's almost certainly "cheaper" to buy stuff yourself as you can make the entity take more items than usual & you can focus on the lowest costs.

How much that really matters is debateable, most players eventually get to a point bp are pretty much just for leveling their favourite characters.

Unless you want / need something specific given the time spent on the bloodweb spending I think it's a reasonable trade.

But I can say to fully go up 1 level in my experience costs around 1.2 million in bp, just checked the auto spend & to fully level a charcter its saying 1.2 million bp range so maybe on average it costs a bit more but overall its pretty much the same.

Though andedotal evidence only i've levelled 5 survivors from 1 to the next prestige today (dumb I should've waited for cakes tomorrow!) I didn't get a single BNP on any of them! A few pink rarity but no BNP, doesn't bother me as such I play with no items a lot but I will see how many cakes I get tomorrow with an auto 50 lv vs manual. Manual will obviously be higher but I'm interested to see by how much!

You end up with a lot of low-value items. I usually target the syringes, and just last week, I did about five prestige levels in one go and received under 10 in total.

Yes. But to be fair, this is also when you let the game autofill single Bloodwebs. It tries to go for the cheapest things, so if you want to stockpile Iridescent Add Ons, you will not really get them.

IMO the Bulk-spending is not worth it. I tried it with a BPS (which is the thing I want the most in Bloodwebs) in the active Bloodweb which would 100% be taken by the Auto-Fill, but the Bulk-spending did not get it.

In general, I think this is only really recommended for people who really dont care at all what they get.

The average cost of going from lvl 1-50 when you do the bloodwebs yourself, prioritizing only what you're after, and so on, is around 800k. Bulk BP spending for the same amount of levels is around 1,050,000, and the items/offerings/add-ons is randomized. For example, I usually prioritize Bloody Party Streamers, and either Escape Cakes or Survivor Puddings when I do the Blood Web myself, and during the anniversary events always the Anniversary BP offerings. I spent 4.4mil leveling up Springtrap 4x, and got only 3 BPS, and 8 Puddings! Got a CRAPLOAD of Brown add-ons and offerings, so many that it seemed almost impossible for me to get that much doing the bloodwebs myself if I was prioritizing them, and even if I was, it would've cost less than the avg 800k I usually spend.

Basically what I'm saying is that, using the bulk spending option, you're gonna pay about 250k more BP and end up with less of what you may actually be after. When it comes to BP efficiency, slogging through spending them yourself is the way to go, when it comes to time efficiency, Bulk spending is there for you. If you already have a decent stack of the things you really want, go for bulk spending, if you're running low, go for traditional spending.

I agree and so I'm going to stick to mostly manually leveling up so that I can choose.

Seems mostly targeted to getting tier III perks faster. Is the increased cost 2mil or something?

    Thanks for the heads up!

I can skip another day & just push on with the new overwatch battle pass.

I was already pretty sure this would be my last year in dbd & nothing they've done since January has convinced me otherwise, if nothing else I play less than ever!

No problem, friend, glad to help.

Honestly, so far this year in DBD has been extremely disappointing, even as a FNAF fan. I'm hoping things get better for the game in the second half.
