map offerings
what is even the point in map offerings anymore? I feel like map offerings are now useless, map offerings made the game feel more in your own control, we already have sacrificial wards, what's the point in making it only 20% when if someone didn't want a map offering so badly then they could just put on a sac ward it was perfect now its ruined I feel.

the change is a lot more balanced. The point is to give you a higher chance to go to map but not guarantee it, or be able to stack it to the point killers had to play an offering to counter it completely or mostly get outweighed. It’s a healthy change.

Because Heaven forbid Killer Mains use anything but Survivor Puddings or put effort in their games.

Because being able to go to whatever map you wanted could result in people using map offerings to go to heavily one sided maps, and sac wards only felt good when they worked, if they didn’t work because nobody brought the offering then congrats you wasted an offering and are gonna be rewarded less for playing the match out

Because BHVR wanted to destroy this game. After nearly 4,000 hours I only play for map offerings with both my Killers and Survivors. I absolutely love Midwich and RPD with my Balanced Landing (Survivor) and aurora reading (Killer) perks. Now I get placed in corn maps with only a 20% chance of ever spawning into Midwich or RPD. Thank you, BHVR, for taking away the one great thing about this game.

since this update ive tested out putting on maps every game ive played and not once have I got a single one of them, its not a high chance its a 1/5 chance. I don't believe its a healthy change, people have sac wards for a reason. its making many not enjoy the game anymore.

I'm not saying offerings are great, but it's one more item that we might as well not have. It'd be nice if we could get through the webs faster now without accumulating things that have little to no impact on the game.

So you find it impossible to enjoy the game outside of Eyrie of Crows or Garden of Joy?
Map offerings were nerfed because survivors abused them. Every game, the killer would be sent to the same three miserable maps over and over again. Not only did it make the game stale, but it sucked to be sent to Badham… again. And again. And again.

Just got a match with 2 different map offerings and we didn't go to any of them lol

Survivors and killers both abused map offerings. It's just there are more survivors obviously. When I play survivor, I can't tell you how many times I've been sent to Midwich, Hawkins, Macmillon etc and it's usually paired with some annoying build to make it even less enjoyable. Map offerings needed to completely go in my opinion or they could change it so that an offering makes you not go to a certain map.

im not sure what makes u think I like garden of joy and eyrie but you do you, it makes map offerings worthless after millions of bps going on them. just bc some bully squads abused them and killers abused them to fit their play styles doesn't mean they should be nerfed to the point where they're unusable. also my fav map is dead dawg (which is good on both killer and survivor fyi) but I don't ever get that map anymore.

The problem is that they CAN be abused. As a killer, pretty much every match had a map offering, and most of them were to the most survivor sided maps in the game.

Map Offerings should be either 100% or not exist at all. Having them at 20% is a joke, there is no reason to use them for a 1 in 5 chance of actually getting the map. Especially if you want to play a specific Build.
The ideal change would be that the Devs put some effort in reworking problematic maps (and this properly, not like Haddonfield or Coldwind, where they shifted the balance from one side to the complete opposite side) and having Map Offerings at 100%. But this will never happen, so Map Offerings should be retired and players should be compensated for them in BPs.
Map Offerings as they are now are just Bloodweb-Junk.

Please BHVR, refund all map offerings
Remove the maps from the game and give us bloodpoints
Maybe 1k BP for every single offering is enough. Or even 500
Heck, I rather have no compensation at all if it means all map offerings are removed from the game and bloodweb. In long term we would get our BP back since we are not wasting points with useless items in the bloodweb
Map offerings were great when a new map was put in the game, but now they are doing separated queues. It's utterly pointless to keep them.

if they can be abused and overpower a sac ward if there are 4 of the same then instead of making map offerings 20% why can't they just remove the overrule feature on sac wards and make it so they can't be overruled then anyone, im sure like urself who doesn't like when people send to specific maps can put one on. I don't see why everyone is being punished for some swfs who spam send to another map.

Because I shouldn't be forced to run a sac ward every game to avoid getting sent to some crap map. I like BP, too.

Map offerings do not stack. If duplicates are played they are ignored (except 4 of an offering beating out sacrificial ward).

It was getting a bit tiredsome to be sent to maps survivors knew they could win more easily. It was happening almost every match.
It got so bad i had to actually stop offering cakes and streamers and use wards to not being sent to badham.
Just remove map offers at this point and rework mirror Myers so he can still be played without map offers. I enjoy going against mirror Myers and i feel bad that they got kinda screwed over by this.

I’m still enjoying the game, and think it was a healthy change, that will be where we have to agree to disagree, because they’re both personal opinions.
As for map rarity given that the chance is so low I think the rarity for them should be reworked. If you think that playing a map and it being guaranteed is make or break for you, can I ask why?

We already have sacrificial wards
A limited resourse where if not needed will still burn instead of being refunded. I don't think that's a solution if you don't like the way map offerings were handled before.

ofc u can ask, I do still enjoy the game but I have maps I feel I play better on / think look prettier than others and if i'm feeling playing a certain map I haven't played in a while I can't just put the offering on anymore ygm?

hahahah im glad u understand and also like I used to like a certain map one day like coldwind so i'd play a few of them but can't do that anymore, on a real they need to either change it back to what it was or get rid of them. they're pointless to spend bps on now I think

Hot take: Remove map offerings entirely. I'm tired of the bloodweb being congested with garbage, especially on survivor where only 25% of the addons you get (at most) will be even looked at. The useless items/add-ons + useless map offerings you'll never use make literally like 75% of the survivor bloodweb completely worthless.
