This game has so much ear #########...

Why are so many things in this game ear #########? There are so many ear ######### things in this game that I don't really use my gaming headphones for this game. I could list so many different things in this game that make a loud sound.

  • The intro cutscene - Even at 20 volume, I can hear this outside my room with the door closed! Doesn't help that my parents' room is literally next to mine.
  • Haddon field intro Music - Why is the Michael Myers music so damn loud? It's only this map with loud intro music too. Love the map, but hate loading into it.
  • Breaking Pallets - This becomes worst if you are playing Killer due to the fact that you are literally right next to it when you break it, unlike survivor, who would've most likely ran away from the pallet.

And some people might say it's just that I have loud volume, but I keep mine at 10/100 always when playing this game, then again it might be because of my speakers. I don't really know, but what are your opinions on this? Is it loud for you, or does it not bother you?

1 can be skipped, so it doesn't really bother me.

And if i wanna watch it, i can go on YouTube.

2 is a bug and should be gone soon if not already.

3 is...an opinion? I don't think it's too loud but you think it is.

Idk what else to tell you, i can live with it.

Agreed. The problem is is that the sounds overlap each other and are distracting when they are supposed to be helping us; for example, hearing survivor running footsteps during chase -- instead you have blaring chase music. It's so stupid!

I know 1 can be skipped, but just why it it that damn loud? I didn't know 2 is a bug, which kinda makes this game more broken imo. And 3 is kinda my opinion, but I know a few other people have problems with it too.

Yeah the chase music is also kinda loud, and can really overlap survivors action like as you said, running.

Hey if the intro's too loud, of course i don't mind if it's made more quiet. 😊

Pallet's a problem though since we're not allowed to have individual volume sliders that we can control.

And for good reason, since every Killer would turn off chase music for example.

It's probably this loud to mask the Survivor's running noises.

It's also why you look down, to hide their movement.

Not saying i don't feel bad for your ears, but i don't think they'll lower it.

Wouldn't have it any other way ;)

But seriously I wish Sfx and chase music were separate. .. Its annoying hearing the chase music on full blast

I don't have any issues. You might have a bad/crappy sound driver/setup. Haddonfield is loud for sure, though, but not ######### levels.

@Hag_Main_Big_Brain I am sorry but I find this all terribly amusing as you failed to refer to survivor hook screams, Phantasm screams, and madness screams as ear-######### but somehow found pallets deafening.

My only issue is with certain killers like Clown. His asthma throws me off so much I can't hear normal survivor breathing over his. Or like Huntress, where you play her so long you her freakin' tune stuck in your head and start humming it yourself. Kind of wish, playing as killer, you could disable those sounds.

It is a horror game do you not expect loud noises?

This is exactly why I wonder why killers even need chase music or if we should have an option to turn it off/down and up SFX. I don't think I've ever heard survivor footsteps unless I'm playing as a survivor 😂 Turning up SFX wouldn't help much though given as stated here they overlap, plus notification explosions, like being focused in a chase and having the combo of explosions constantly from discordance and blaring chase music...sometimes I want to finish the chase, I know it's a thing to let me know I need to defend gens but why 50+ explosions from discordance...

Hmm odd I dont have much of a problem ( besides the chase music ) and that's with me using headphones. Also @ColgateAdvancedWhite it's not literal, look it up.
