Skybound's/Telltale's Clementine As A Survivor?
With the combination of Ash vs. Evil Dead coming to Dead by Daylight as well as The Walking Dead's "The Final Season" coming to a close, I was wondering what people thought about Clementine, the game's main protagonist, and whether or not you would like to see her come to Dead by Daylight.
I saw a post related to this in the Wishlist area, and that got it's fair share of support there, but I wanted to hear more opinions on the topic. Whether you are for/against this idea, I'd love to hear your reasoning in the comments below!
Thanks and have a great day! ^-^

This would be OP cause as a killer main I couldn't possibly bring myself to hurt Clem in any way

I don't blame you tbh

Sorry but no.

Bringing her voice actor would be ironic.
Going from making tons and tons of dialogue to just screaming and grunting. 🤣

Haha, I never really thought of it like that.

Would one of her Perks be to slow down time drastically for 10 seconds, and then she can choose 1 of 4 different actions during that time?
Y'know, you activate it in a chase, and you'll get
A: Run to/Use the nearby window/pallet,
B: Run away from the Killer,
C: Try to make friends,
D: Do nothing/Disconnect. (A 50/50 chance.)

Holy moly. I would love this to no end!
What would her perks be tho? What would fit her as a very brave survivor like her?

We can only hope. I'd absolutely love her as a survivor although maybe back when she had 2 legs. Since in her current state she'd be at a disadvantage. Maybe she was taken by the entity when she was walking off to find AJ, she walked was taken.

Maybe The Entity could be generous and give her that leg back. She's too perfect for DbD, and I don't think a missing leg part should stop that.

She already has a prestige skin...

Who could hurt this precious baby
*sees all the ways she can die while playing Walking Dead*
...Oh

Dont think it'd happen based on how old Clem is, but also who the ######### would be her chapter's killer? A zombie lmao
If they wanted to do a zombie they wouldve done it with Bill's Sacrifice/Left Behind DLC

Idk about the killer. Either a standalone survivor or a licensed killer from another game maybe?
EDIT: Clementine is around 16 or 17, so the devs could just bump it up a bit. They did this w/ Laurie too. Laurie is 17 in the movie, but 21 in game, so they could do the same for Clementine

If they did, they'd have to age her up. The devs already decided to start claiming that Laurie and Quentin are 21 when they're clearly not based on when the Entity took them, so for whatever reason I don't think they want minors in the game.
2 -
@Daltonio It's probably not a good idea to have minors dying in your game, but then again, a lot of other games have children that die. 🤔

I don't know. I wouldn't mind it, but then I also have no real interest in Clementine being added to the game. Plus, I don't really like Telltale.

Including Telltale's The Walking Dead 😆

Lmao

It would honestly not be that difficult to add a character like Clementine.
I would definitely ping the devs about this convo, but I don't want to seem like I'm a spoiled kid who gets everything they want.

You know, I've always thought Claudette was Clementine. Their names are similar as they both start with "CL" and I thought they were the same. I feel really stupid now lol
1 -
They're definitely similar in someways, but drastically different in others. Trust me, your not the first I've heard that from.

A small-sized black girl will be more op than claudette in immersion.

I don't want to get into "race specifics" here, but let's just say she can't be AS immersed as Claudette.

I'm not from the west where everything is about identity politics. We think it's ridiculous over here. Factually having dark skin helps camouflague in a dark(ish) environment
1 -
True, but I wouldn't say she's AS dark as Claudette

Adding Clementine would be pretty cool. She just needs to be aged up a little bit. What would the Killer be though? Would we just get a walker or would she be a standalone DLC?
2 -
Same. Clem would always get out. @ClogWench
1 -
I was thinking standalone. However, if the devs wanted to, they could get another standalone licensed killer and combine the two into one DLC.

*Clem hits The Nurse with a pallet
"The Nurse will remember that."
4 -
Oh my lord, that would be cool af.
I think that standalone survivors are easy to pull of 'for the most part'. Creating killers must be difficult because of balance etc but we can always have a couple of different survivors every once in a while.
I wonder what her perks would be? Like more alturism like claudette or a fighter like david or even as a leader figure like dwight?

Yeah, I think this would definitely be a standalone survivor, but I just thought if there was a killer to come alongside her, it should be Minnie:
or zombie Lee, but yeah solo would work the best.
As for perks, I was thinking a blend between David King (demonstrating Strength), Dwight (being a leader) and Claudette (wants to help others).

Not me. I am an "equal oportunity" killer, I will slaughter men, women, children and old people alike.
1 -
Clem is such a lovable character, it would definitely be hard to hurt her.
1 -
And all honesty this would be awesome as hell but there's a lot of red tape involved just to even get close to getting that license. Not to mention that I think since we now have a paragraph coming out I would like to see a zombie killer maybe.
1 -
A zombie character would be interesting to see, but who would it be (Even if its not from TWD)?

:( ok

Could b a whisperer with a zombie mask for killer. Would explain speed and intelligence and give endless possibility with cosmetics._.

Yeah

I would love to see Clementine too.
Maybe we could have a 3 survivors chapter for the first time ever. Personally, I would want to see James in it too. His character is complex and he left quite an impression in the Final Season. Since there’s two options: Kill Lilly (James survives) or Stop AJ (James dies). We could maybe have James’s backstory in Dead by Daylight be something like he realized that if we die (by becoming a walker) we go to the Entity’s Realm and there’s nothing but suffering. It adds a bit of depth to him by making him see that there’s nothing left after we become a walker. So to end the suffering, we must have to kill walkers no matter what. And if other people went with saving James, it’s either he abandoned us or he stayed behind to make sure we are safe. Then we never see him again so that could be he might have been taken in by the Fog (then just like the former where he realized we suffer in the Entity’s Realm). We now have reasons why he is in the Fog even if the player had him die or saved him. I don’t know how they would write his backstory tho, they could maybe choose one canon ending for him. His perks could be related to distraction (distracting walkers in the game), as well as helping other survivors (like when he helped Clem and AJ).
Other honorable mentions would be Bonnie and Mike (we don’t know what happened to them after Season 2, but I’m sure not many people like them). Or maybe Molly from Season One as well.
