it depends on how much you are getting maybe.. for example, last year i got on survivors between 30-40 cakes with each "prestige level up", and on k1llers 60-70.. this year on survivors each "prestige level up" i get like 15-20, and k1llers (i just tried one so far) i got 30.. so both literally 50% less.. but i have seen people say that they are getting the amount that i got last year, so then i would say too that that would be enough

well if i was the game maker i wouldn't have done this, and (almost) everyone seems to say the same thing.. so idk what your definition of greedy is but the way i see it it is the opposite😅 they aren't even losing anything literally with it, but to get a decent amount now we do have to play daily / put quite some time in it, that a lot of people cant even do for multiple reasons, so i would not call this greedy at all.. and i have the luck that i played last year and got quite a lot and still have left, but also think about the new players or the ones that couldnt play other year(s)

Man, I’ve never seen a game company this stingy in my life. Instead of rewarding players with more BP, they’re cutting it back. Instead of encouraging people, they’re basically saying ‘be happy with what you get.’ Unreal.

They way BHVR is stingy with BP lately like it's some kind of very rare, limited and expensive resource is actually crazy, idk what happened but it wasn't like that before.

Currently getting around half as many cakes as last year. Not a good change.

Clearly they are aware of the issue if they intended "fix" was to give 1 guaranteed cake perk lvl 50 bloodweb, instead of fixing the whole thing right then and there to spawn like normal last years amount. So im kinda worried they are just going to leave it that way. If you are constantly presstiging 1 character sure they will rack up in numbers but when its not worth getting cakes on a character you blew months worth of points into, for no benefit at all except bragging rights and easier access to iri items/addons, it blows my mind that its 10x more worthwhile to just start prestiging some other character to get cakes at a seminormal rate which if you are playing that character to gain cakes, while also using the cakes it goes even slower.

Something to check out.
When I auto-spend X levels in the Bloodweb (LOVE this new mechanic even though it isn't optimal BP spending. It is so damn convenient), I get Cakes at roughly 7 per 10 levels. Roughly.
When I manually spend BP, trying to optimize my BP spent per level (working on my Survivors to P1 for Perks right now), I get about 1 cake every 4 levels, depending on RNG, I might get 2 cakes in 4-5 levels, but that happens rarely.
So, if you want more cakes, auto-spend. It eats a bit more BP than if you manually do things, but it's damn near guaranteed each level. I had one run on a character where they got 9 out of 10 levels gained.

The devs need to understand that people want the cakes to level up their paid for killers and/or survivors. Using a chunk of the bp earned from one cake to simply find another cake kind of negates the bonuses the cakes give us at all.

Kinda sad that they're radio silent about it. Feels like it's done on purpose and they don't want to address it and they're just waiting for people to stop complaining, which is already happening :/

Could we maybe have some insight on why the level has dropped?
On survivor especially, the rates of cakes have always felt low because of the shared pool with items. I'm unsure what the intent is behind a lowered rate.

I'm not having fun in the game right now, not in normal mode and definitely not in the event mode. I'll do the bare minimum of completing the Quest challenges for this event and that's it. I play the anniversary for cakes and Bloodpoints. With no one earning cakes and no one burning cakes, plus getting tunneled at 5 gens or bled out for no reason so I earn even less than normal, it is not worth the misery to play.

Sadly I don't think that we can expect to get any info from them about why they did this. They're gonna ignore it and pretend that everything is fine which sucks :/

There is no such a thing as enough cakes.
I need to gather at least 700 cakes to last whole year, that's a lot of BP suddenly (around 23 000 000 BP).
Not really easy for someone who has time to play like 1-2 hours per day, because that's like 115 games. Just to get enough cakes for survivor, then killers too.0 -

Look at rewards for quest system, or late levels of rift. It's just pathetic low, I am not surprised they did same with cakes.0
