The main thing that makes me want to quit this game
Are the dedicated server crashes. There’s nothing more frustrating than when you’ve spent 15 minutes in a match, you’re down to one gen and both sides are playing trying to secure the win and then the server just crashes. All that effort, all those BP everything just gone. In an event queue this is a huge loss of time and points.
This is so beyond pathetic at this point for a game that’s 9 years old and as big as it is. What is the deal and why do we never get any acknowledgement that the devs are aware of this issue and trying to fix it?
I’m not trying to flame anyone and I know they work hard but this has been going on for how long now? What’s the timetable on doing something about this?

also, fun fact: when the server crashes while it loads the game, you lose your offering and addons and items.
I could prove this when I was playing as artist the last time I played her. I currently have only 3 severed hands left (they never appear in my bloodweb for some reason), and I decided to sevel up to get 5 cakes to see if i could get some fun (she's my second main) and gain some BP... while searching for the cakes, I managed to get 1 severed hands. So i had 4 hands and 5 cakes. I loaded into the match, but the server crashed. So back to queue. After like 5 mins to get into a new lobby, I realized I only had 3 hands and 4 cakes left...

Had a great long game 11 hooks going for the 4k and bang disconnected.
Annoyed is an understatement.

Yeah, server crashes are extremely irritating and I hate how the game acts like you D/C'ed and it's your fault. If the devs can't fix the crashes than the least they could do is give us some form of compensation when it happens.

Note that this also could be just cheaters, not the actual servers. Cheaters have the ability to crash the match server at will. It is always very suspicious as this happens at the end of a 12 hook game or something… just saying ;)

This is true but this has been going on for a long time and there’s always an increase in it happening every time there’s a new chapter or game update. Yes cheaters do this but the vast majority of the time, my money is on server issues on BHVR side

This is either a system issue on your end or some kind of hacker. I have literally never any serversided DCs on my end, and i dont even have the highest specs on my PC.

It's pretty common for players to see a "Dedicated Server stopped responding" message when this happens. They're much more common during major chapter updates and/or events. I've seen them say twice a week ever since they went from killer-hosting lobbies to the dedicated servers. And that's across three moves, four consoles, and two internet & equipment upgrades.
I'd consider your luck awesome if you've never seen that error message.

Nope. When I get the "Dedicated server not responding" error, it happens to both me and my friend. We're on different platforms. And in one of those matches the killer was streaming, and it happened to them as well. It being a hacker in that match would have made no sense. I've had my game crashed due to hackers, anyway, and I don't see why they'd do it with a server disconnect when a full-out crash means they can't be reported.

I've had that error happen after a match has ended and it's loading the end screen and then it counts as a goddamn disconnect and it doesn't give me any points. I escaped! It was loading the end screen! And it took away everything I'd earned in the match. That's happened more than once, and it's horrible. I had video and could show it happened to both me and my friend and support was just like, "Oh well."

A while back I stumbled into a similar straight line 3 gen along side the temple in the forest. Luckily the server let me keep my three sacrifices from that trial. 😋
