A dumb Freddy Rework

So yeah, I know Freddy is being reworked later this year. But I've had this idea for a year and a half, so I may as well post it.

The Nightmare’s power allows him to tamper with the environment around him, inhibiting the survivors abilities while growing his own power.

Base changes:

Dream Demon allows The Nightmare to pull Survivors into the Dream World.

Survivors who are awake do not see or hear The Nightmare. They can only tell where he is by the directional lullaby. Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, awake Survivors enter the Dream Transition. During the Dream Transition (default: 5 seconds), they can see The Nightmare intermittently. The Nightmare will know when he is being seen by the static aura fading off and on the survivor. The Nightmare can hit and grab a survivor while he is fading, as long as the static aura is on the survivor. When the Dream Transition lapses, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.

Once in the Dream World:

Survivors suffer an action speed penalty that increases with each survivor brought into the dream world. Each new survivor brought into the Dream World will increase the amount of work needed for actions, and make the Dream World harder to escape. To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find other non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action. Failing a medkit or generator skillcheck will wake up the survivor. Getting hooked wakes up the Survivor

The Nightmare may also target things in the dream world to hinder and confuse survivors:

Dream Demon may target parts of the environment, or a Survivor in the Dream world. Each time any object is targeted and trapped, there will be 10 second cooldown.

Windows targeted by Dream Demon will be blocked for a short amount of time (8 seconds) when a survivor approaches it in the Dream World.

Pallets targeted by Dream Demon will have a reduced stun on The Nightmare, and take less time to break. (5% for both)

Lockers targeted by Dream Demon will create an open link. When the Nightmare links two lockers, checking one locker will teleport the nightmare to the other. Trapped lockers will instantly put an awake survivor asleep, and show their aura while they are inside. When a survivor exits a trapped locker, the link between lockers will be broken. Only two lockers may be trapped at a time.

Generators targeted by the Nightmare will have the first skillcheck not wake a survivor up. These skillchecks will be shown to the survivor in red.

Survivors in the Dream World targeted by Dream Demon will see the Nightmare fading in and out as if they were in the Dream Transition. Just like in the dream transition, Freddy can only hit a survivor if they have the static aura on them.

Extra notes!

Trapped Windows will look fine until approached by a survivor in the dream world, at which they will start their 8 second block. Trapped Pallets will have a 5% stun recovery, and a 5% faster breaking time. Trapped lockers will be “untrapped” after a survivor (sleeping or awake) enters and exits it. In the rare chance that a Survivor is in a trapped locker and the Nightmare is using the other locker for travel, then the Nightmare will act as if he caught the other survivor after teleporting to the other locker. Trapped generators will have skillchecks in red, and can let you succeed the skill check to untrap it. For targeting a sleeping survivor, the Nightmare’s terror radius will be reduced to 0 meters for 7 seconds along with the fading.

Waking up is an action that takes 6 seconds.

Each survivor brought into the dream world will increase the action speed penalty and decrease skillcheck chances. Additionally, it will increase The Nightmare’s base power set.

1 Survivor in the Dream World : -35% action speed

2 Survivors in the Dream World : -40% action speed, slightly decreased chance for skillchecks, moderately reduced power cooldown (-3 seconds, cooldown is now 7 seconds)

3 Survivors in the Dream World : -45% action speed, moderately decreased chance for skillchecks, considerably reduced power cooldown (-2 second, cooldown is now 5 seconds)

4 Survivors in the Dream World : -50% action speed, considerably decreased chance for skillchecks, tremendously reduced power cooldown (-1 second, cooldown is now 4 seconds)

Once leveled up, while the action speed and skillcheck chances may go down, the cooldown will stay how it is.)
