To all new players
When a killer carries you to the exit gate it's so you can open it and get out.
Three times I took a Bill to the exit door and twice he ran away.
He got the message third time around but died to the timer.
I posted a sub comment on another thread about running away from the exit or hatch so maybe just a stand alone thread will help
There are a lot of toxic killers but the vast majority will let players who are obviously new get out..
There's a lot to learn especially with so many killers so take the escape and build up blood points for the characters and perks you want.

Agreed, I always give hatch or gate to last survivor (unless its steve or leon sorry they'll have to leave it to luck of the entity)
Far from a new player 16,000 hours+ but since the mori came in the number of killers i've seen let survivors almost leave just to mori them (usually gate) has dramatically increased.
I don't mind dying personally & prefer mori death to the hook & I doubt many players have that in mind while running off, but some probably just don't wanna boost mmr with a gate escape.

That second comment is also why a lot of players don’t trust it when the killer appears to be giving you gate or hatch. If you’re gonna kill then just kill then but the stuff of making them crawl to hatch just to mori them on it or letting them open gate and downing them to crawl to edge of gate just to mori is just meant to be a jerk. It’s just wasting peoples time trying to get to their next match when you could just take your kill and move on.
And these are the same killers who will then complain about survivors teabagging at exit gate. If you don’t like it done to you then don’t do it to others. But unfortunately this community doesn’t like to follow the “treat others how you want to be treated” mentality. They like to take the anger from players in the last match out on people in the next match.

Bill's have this innate drive to be left behind.

Yeah it can take several times for them to figure it out. Also, please my fellow killers don't drop them a distance from an open hatch just to slam it shut right in front of them, it's cruel.
Those cute lil newbies greatly increase their chances of living if they'd boop my snoot as well. 😜🐷🐽

They wont get it, some do but if you're against actual babies many don't.
I will also add, that I am probably what most would consider a veteran and as a result I have trust issues with killers. I have had killers let me open the gate so they can mori me right before the exit… so if you give me the slightest off vibe I will not trust you and instead try to get away too.

Yes, that's why I either walk away from the door or drop them directly on the hatch.

If the killer closes the hatch = they want you to die
Don't fall for the exit gate charity. They most likely will have No Way Out or will kill you after you opened it

Reminds me of the times I'll let someone wiggle off my shoulder after walking to their hooked teammate. Alot of newbies will run away instead of unhooking.

that awkward moment you and the struggling survivor watch as that survivor runs away.
1 -
It is almost like he was left for dead.
2 -
At least with AFC, I might be able to help them unhook themselves.
1 -
you could just step away and let them open it for themselves why do you gotta down them , take em to the gate and watch if they keep not trusting you??

- If I had ONE euro for every time the killer pretends to give me a hatch/door, I'd be pretty rich. I'm sorry, but I don't trust anyone anymore.
1 -
Unfortunately I can never trust the killer. The nice/chill ones are pretty rare anymore.

I was gonna share this. It's a toss up as to whether they'll actually let you leave or if they're just messing with you.

Why poor leon and steve has to die?

Isn't it better than certain death? Yeah friendly killers are rare these days that's why I became one myself unless I need to really pip.

At least you can let them unhook themself by the anticamp system if they realise.

I mean they don't have to die, I sure won't target or tunnel them, but if they're last I won't give them the out.
I'm a stats nerd Steve gets me killed more than any other survivor by a long way, not just games with Steve in but its so often Steve's fault! Even the kids say now its Steve dodge the lobby! When I'm survivor (I don't) & screaming Steve's 🙄 I'm sorry I live with daily migraines & I work / play through a lot but thats over my line!
Never liked Leon, don't like him in resident evil, but more that most seem to be terrible team mates, just a personal thing I guess.
I find it incredibly difficult to Kill Meg (my forever main) but like I said the vast majority of the time I play for 3 kills & whomever is last is last I won't ignore someone just to let them go.

Yeah I never fall for the bait
To me, hatch is closed, gg

Well I can see you reasons. Most leon players are babies or noobs but I might myself feel bad for them even they are not good teammates.
Steves can be overly altruistic but I have found them decent teammates maybe you have just been unlucky. Steves used to be pros though before ST came back.
Worst teammates for me are probably Sables and claudettes.
