Perk/Killer Ability/Survivor Ability Suggestion Thread

This is a thread where you can post your perk and survivor/killer ideas. (PERKS/ABILITIES YOU COME UP WITH CAN BE OP)

For example, here are some perks and 2 abilities I came up with:

Killer Side

Piracy (common/uncommon/rare)

Survivors searching through chests have their search speeds reduced by 20/25/30%. The noises survivors make while searching a chest are increased by 8 meters. If a survivor outside of your terror radius begins searching a chest, their aura is revealed for 3 seconds. You are notified if a survivor touches a chest.

Ominous Force (uncommon/rare/very rare)

Survivors that throw down pallets have a 20/30/40% chance of instantly breaking the pallet. Survivors within a chase have a 40/45/50% chance of breaking a pallet if thrown down. However, if a survivor breaks a pallet within a chase, you suffer the stun penalty.

Hex: Lethargy

You start off the trial with 10% reduced movement speed. If you hit a survivor, gain a token up to 8 tokens. Each token grants you a 3/4/5% speed bonus. If the Hex is destroyed, all tokens are lost and your movement speed is returned to normal.

Ability: Entity's Rage

Press the power activation button to charge your ability. Once you have fully charged it, The ____ will blow its horn to commence its rampage. Once the horn is blown, you will be in a Rampage for 60 seconds. During this time period, you:

-Instantly break through pallets

-Buff your MS to 120%

-Reduce the movement speed of survivors when they are hit

-Reduce the progression of generators by 40%

-Reduce the cooldown of missed/successful attacks

It takes 7 seconds to blow the horn. Bloodlust is not available during Rampage and after Rampage is over, a cooldown of 20 seconds is needed. You are able to buff the duration with add-ons and add some extra effects.

A new mechanic in DBD are Survivor Abilities. Each survivor has a unique ability.

Survivor's Side

Ability: Crawl

This ability allows you to crawl at a speed of 90%. However, getting back up requires 1 skill check and failing the skill check will allow you to get up but will reveal your location to the killer for 3 seconds. In order to crawl, you must press _ which will take 3 seconds. Crawling reduces the noises you make by 50%. Crawling will allow the killer to pick you up, but if you are picked up while crawling, 25% of your wiggle meter will be already filled up. Falling while crawling will put you into the crouched position. You cannot crawl while the killer is in a 16-meter radius.

Perks:

Vigor (common/uncommon/rare)

The speed at which you throw down pallets is increased by 20/25/30%. Your normal vaulting speed is increased by 6/8/10%.

Dedication (uncommon/rare/very rare)

You are allowed to wiggle while the killer is hooking you. If you break free from their grasp while they are hooking you, you will fall and stun the killer for 3 seconds. Your wiggle speed within 12 meters of a hook is increased by 4/6/8%.

Scornful (rare/very rare/ultra rare)

After getting hooked, the perk activates. Once you are unhooked, you are able to punch the killer within 8 meters. This will stun the killer and drop whoever they are holding at the moment. However, punching will put you into the Injured state if you are healthy but will not put you into the Dying state. Punching causes Exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds. You cannot use Scornful while Exhausted. You will not recover from Exhaustion while running.

Lol, this is why the Fan creations subforum was created.

I'd like a perk who's function is to highlight survivors so that crouching Claudettes in the reeds of Yakaomoahama can actually be seen.

true, and maybe a perk that allows you to see what stage of sacrifice the survivor is on based on their aura intensity

Ooooh! How about a “lawnmower” perk? Anywhere you walk will take down tall grass, reeds, and corn for the duration of the match! This should also apply to any non-solid bamboo that you can pass through.

Very useful perk for anyone but the Trapper lol

Here’s a perk idea I posted earlier before I found this thread:

    Killer Perk: Buyer’s Remorse

Start with 1 token and gain an additional token each time the entity is summoned (max 5). Spend one token to plant a decoy survivor item. When the item is used, or when a survivor carries it into the exit gate area, the item will explode and generate a noise notification. The explosion injures all survivors within 4/6/8 meters and stuns them for 2/3/4 seconds. The explosion also destroys pallets in the blast radius.

    Extra info:

The killer can place an item on the ground by holding the “drop survivor” button when there is no survivor being carried. Decoys placed on the ground mimic the exact properties (type, add-ons, remaining charges) of the nearest legitimate item on the ground, if any.

The killer can interact with an open chest to place the decoy in the chest. Interact again to close the chest (if desired). Items placed in chests are random, but will be affected by survivor perks like Ace In The Hole. Closed chests cannot be tampered with.

This perk is meant to pair nicely with Franklin’s Demise. Imagine a survivor gets hit a drops a high-end medkit. Upon returning to collect it, they see 2 medkits in the general area. One is obviously a decoy, but which one? Do they take a guess or leave behind nice equipment? Picking up the decoy, the stats are identical to the actual one, so there is no way to be certain. Upon finding an injured teammate, the medkit is used and explodes. The survivor is injured and the one receiving the healing is now on the ground dying. After a few seconds of stun, the injured survivor abandons the dying one as the killer closes in.

    Killer mechanic: Brace

When you hit a q or e, you brace in that direction (q being left, e being right).

When a survivor drops a ballet, and you time your brace correctly, you stop the pallet from breaking and get a free hit on the survivor.

If you brace too late, you get stunned by the pallet.

When you do a brace action, you suffer from a movement speed penalty as if you missed a lunge.

If you brace too soon on a pallet drop, it either lets the survivor run another loop around, or you get stunned on the pallet drop.

The pallet is not used if you successfully pull off a brace.

This mechanic is meant to add new mind games, a higher skill cap to all killers, and to make pallets more of a risk to use.

I think this could be a lot of fun! However I know if they can’t fully rely on pallet stuns, a lot of survivors out there would cry bloody murder (as they rightly should when chased by a killer! Bwa ha ha)

The main question is how would this work on PS4? I’m thinking L3 and R3 are the only options, but difficult if you have to push them in a hurry. Might accidentally spin circles instead.

Also, in all fairness, it would be possible to get really good at this and give killers an unfair advantage. Perhaps we should give it a max limit of blocking maybe 5 pallets.

    Killer Perk: Rusty Nails

The killer starts with 4 rusty nails and can hammer them into pallets. It doesn’t matter if the pallet has been pulled down or not.

Survivors are injured any time they pull down or slide across affected pallets. The pallet can injure survivors multiple times, and the effect lasts until the killer destroys it.

If the killer is stunned by an affected pallet, the duration of the stun is increased by 1.5 seconds.

    Survivor perk ideas:

Medium: Start the trial with 1/2/3 Survivor's auras revealed to you. The intensity of their auras represent the stage of sacrifice they are on.

Advanced Movement: Your base movement speed is increased by 1/1.5/2%.

Warned: Skill checks are no longer RNG-based. You see the locations of skill checks on the progression bar based on a thin line. After succeeding any skill check, progression speed is increased by 5% for 3/4/5 seconds.

Yes, which makes them far less likely to try looping around that pallet.

I made these in my Duolingo Bird killer meme thread but I feel like with a change of name and a little more balanced, these perks could be really good

    Perks:

You Missed your Spanish Lesson: If a survivor has not healed any teammates during the match, their generator repair speed will be slowed down by 15/20/25%

Notification: Every time you hook a survivor all survivor positions are revealed to you in a notification for 3/4/5 seconds

Hex: No one escapes Spanish: A Hex is placed upon a dull totem, while active, the killer has a 20/14/12 meter terror radius and generator skill checks yell "Hola!" instead of the usual skill check noise.

    Killer Ability:

Meat hook. Holding the M2 key, you begin to swing the meat hook on the chain. After you let go of the M2, the killer throws the meat hook into the survivor (the maximum throw distance is 25 meters). If the hook hits the survivor, then it digs into the shoulder and the killer begins to pull the survivor in spurts.

A small digression. Here I have a choice of 2 versions of how the killer will pull the survivor: 1) he will automatically pull the survivor. 2) the player must himself alternately in timing press the keys M1 and M2.

    We continue.

The meat hook can also cling to the survivor if it is outside the window or behind the pallet. In this case, when the killer starts pulling up the survivor, the survivor will rest his back on the window frame or pallet (the animation will be the same as in Left 4 Dead, when the Smoker grabs the survivor and he rests on the object). At the same time, the killer begins the skill check. If the killer falls into the skill check, then the survivor pulls through the window / pallet directly into the killer's hands (as well as through all the other objects on the map that will meet on the way). If the killer misses the skill check, then the survivor pulls the hook from the shoulder along with a piece of meat, because of which he becomes wounded.

Robocall: The killer calls the cellphone of a survivor, causing it to ring loudly for 3/4/5 seconds and creating a noise notification. The survivor called is random, and after the call the survivor will silence their phone. That said, the killer gets 4 calls, one for each survivor.

Maniac: The survivor's hopes wanes with each passing moment.. And the Entity hungers. Everytime you hook a survivor. The Entity will temporally block the hook from anyone trying to rescue for 15/20/25 Seconds. And can only affect two survivors at a time.

    "Welcome to my Hell..."

Hex: Insanity: The hope of escaping dwindles the hopes of the living. For when this hex totem is active at endgame. It will show 2 fake exits. Opening one of the fake doors will lead into a walled off exit cleansing the Hex totem will disable the fake doors.

"Your sanity will be tested.. Your mind. And your will to live."

Driven to madness: The sound of survivors rescuing their friends brings hatred into your soul. For each time a survivor is hooked. And if saved in less than 10 seconds gain a stacking buff up to 5 tokens. However. If waited longer than 10 seconds. You'll lose one token.

1 Stack: Reduce missed swings by 10%

2 Stacks: Bloodlust reduced from 15 seconds to 10

    3 Stacks: Breaking a gen/pallet increased by 10%

4 Stacks: injuring a survivor gives them a broken bones. Making it harder to heal overtime

5 Stacks: Movement speed increased by 5%

Does not stack with other perks to increase / Decrease time.

"Madness brings out the worst in people...and it does so perfectly."

    EDIT: Fixed some grammar mistakes.

Maniac: The hope of survivor's freeing themselves are limited to none. And the Entity hungers for the living. For each survivor you hook. The Entity temporally blocks off the hook for 15/20/25 seconds, Can only affect two hooked survivors at once

    "Welcome to my Hell.."

Hex: Insanity: The survivor's plead for escaping is limited to none, and you'll make sure of that. if there is a remaining dull totem on the map at the endgame. once the gen is finished it'll activate. showing the survivors 2 more exits to choose from. if they open the wrong door. they'll be greeted to a Blocked off exit route, However. once this hex is cleansed. the fake doors will shut permanently,

"Your sanity will be tested. Your will to live. and how you can overcome it..."

Driven to Madness: The thought of survivors freeing themselves off hook angers you from withen. making you a force to be reckoned with, you start the trial off with 0 tokens that'll increase overtime after a save has occurred. However for each pallet stun hits you. you'll lose a token:

1 Stack: Reduced missed swings by 10%

2 Stacks: Bloodlust Gain reduced from 15 seconds to 10 seconds

3 Stacks: Increase kicking a pallet / generator by 10%

4 Stacks: After you hit a injured survivor. they gave the broken bones. for each hit reduces their healing by 5%

5 Stacks: Increases your movement speed by 5%

Does not stack with increased / Decreased perks that is affected with its stacks

"Sometimes..you just gotta give it your best shot."

    Killer perk: Chain link

You strike down survivors in a chain. Upon downing a survivor, you will gain a Chain onto that survivor, when the survivor is brought out of the dying state to injured, the healer will become injured and get a chain, when downing the healer there is a 20/30/40% chance that the healed survivor will go down and a 50/60/70% chance that the healed survivor will be broken for 60 seconds. When the healer is downed or the healed is downed, the chain breaks for 70 seconds before being able to be activated again

"Keep a watchful eye on your prey, you will always hold them down"
