The Entity survivor disguise idea for new killer!
Imagine a killer that can disguise as a survivor for as long as they want and it’s THE ENTITY!
New Killer: The Impostor (True Form: The Entity’s Fang)
Description: The Impostor thrives on confusion, paranoia, and mimicry. It becomes a survivor, wandering freely until the moment it strikes. Every interaction is a gamble. Who’s real and who’s the Entity in disguise?
Masquerade Form: At any time, The Impostor can disguise itself as a random survivor. While disguised:
-It can block the first 2 vaults (window/pallet) used during a chase, triggering Entity Blocking for 5s. This resets per chase.
-It can interact with generators, triggering a fake skill check that causes 6% regression and blocks the gen for 10s if hit successfully.
-It can steal an item from a survivor by interacting with them; if consumed, The Impostor gains 10s of Haste and faster actions (vaulting, breaking, etc.).
Performing any of these suspicious actions will forcibly reveal its true form, a grotesque, towering spider-like mutation of the Entity.
True Form – The Entity’s Fang: Upon being stunned or disguising again: A fog-like explosion erupts and the Impostor is teleported to a random hook. All survivors’ auras are revealed for 5s. The survivor who triggered the effect suffers Oblivious and Blindness for 25s. If within the k1llers terror radius after it spawns to one of the hooks (does not affect the stun initiative survivor) will teleport that one survivor to another random hook with the same fog like smoke effects to throw off other passing survivors with a 60s cooldown. Every stun or disguise triggered transformation increases Entity related blocking effects (pallets, vaults, gens, exit gates) by +5s per instance, stacking indefinitely, including with other perks with those related effects.

Not to burst your bubble, but there's two issues here:
Firstly: An imposter killer would simply not work in today's DbD. You're asking the playerbase to not use comms as a courtesy to make the killer work, and that's just not happening.
Secondly: Making the Entity itself a killer goes against what it is. It's unknowable, incomprehensible. The moment you give it a power is the moment you, as a player, get to understand how it works. In doing so, the fantasy is lost.

I’m getting flashbacks to how legion came about.

Wouldn't comms just destroy such a killer designed like this?

I think this idea could work, but instead of just straight up turning into a Survivor, since that could easily be beaten if you're playing against friends (which would, ironically, be the only time SWF is actually beneficial), then this Killer would get no real use from the ability. So, add NPCs as a special trial inclusion (like the chests for Vecna, Wesker and Nemesis or the doors for Springtrap), that either walk around the map or just stand still.
Then, have the Killer capable of turning into one of those map NPCs. I imagine this would either be super OP or not very (I don't see it every being truly balanced, but honestly not everything needs to be), but I do feel it could be fun for everyone involved if implemented correctly.

Glad I'm not the only one. That trailer was pretty misleading.

Feels like Groundhog Day but Legion V2 Back to the Future.

I don't think Nea would allow it.

The only force greater than the entity itself.

This is as close as we will ever get for one simple reason. With the existence of SWF (even if not every match is a SWF) it's extremely easy for at least one if not all of the survivors to know exactly what the others are doing and the killer would be known immediately to be the killer and not actually Meg.

every so often this same idea gets suggested. Even I myself had come up with the concept. But there's always the same issue: SWF would make the killer 200% useless.

People go on about how swf would disarm killers like this and that's true,
But even competent solos wouldn't have any trouble. The activity HUD shows everything you need to suss out what this killer is doing. Claudette just got hooked and yet she's hauling ass at me from across the map: that's the killer. It's not difficult stuff

just got flashbacks to when the legion released

well 1 that's nea 2 that's what we thought legion would be originally 3 i think the reason they never did it/they'll never do it is because swf exists and that killer would be a noob stomper only

I see this just been a meme hit and run killer. This idea is here for ages.

A lesson in Marketing Department not listening to the Game Designers properly.
