Why is scamper fine on The Ghoul but not Chucky??
Like the title says why is scamper fine for for the 4.6 killer with insane mobility but not the 4.4 killer? Don't get me wrong I think scamper was a cheap ability that needed change but they shouldn't have removed it the way they did. All that was needed for Chucky was for his power to instantly go on cooldown either you scamper or slice n dice. Ghoul on the other hand is a 4.6 killer than can vault in 1 second while enraged. Maybe if it was actually difficult to become enraged then maybe it would be ok. Ghoul shouldn't be able to vault in his first leap or if he does then double the leap time to 2 seconds. A killer that's that easy to play and get value out of shouldn't be that strong! Thank you :)

2.5 second vault doesnt make sense when it takes less time to break the pallet.

They were probably trying to more or less give him a similar vault to Wesker. Unlike Chucky, both Ghoul and Wesker have a cooldown time after the vault.

Wesker has a 1.5 vault with a 3 second cooldown. The ghoul has a 1 second vault with a 1.25 second cooldown. Weaker gets a survivor slow vault and the ghoul gets a survivor medium vault. Weskers works because its a hefty cooldown the ghoul doesn't tho that's the issue.

Im looking at the wiki page and it shows a 1.5 second cooldown for Wesker. Where are you getting your stats?

I guess with Wesker as well he has plenty warning as he charges up his skill too is maybe what they mean?

Most tweaks given to Chucky was because survivors complained about it.
Scamper never felt like a free hit to me but people cried it was. Most of the time survivors made it around before I could get under the pallet.

With scamper they took his no sound when vaulting in hidey-hode mode, just forgoten nerf.

Well chucky scamper was easier and if you're quick enough looping agains't ghoul you can avoid getting hit.

I remember complaining about this change specifically a ton a few months ago. The original point of him having a new Scamper animation for vaulting windows was because it didn't make noise, them limiting it to when he's screaming his lungs out during Slice and Dice made it go from cool tech that added a new factor of vsing him in power vs out of it, to basically just a superfluous 'neat that it looks different' vault.
Genuinely still get salty of how Chucky got done whenever I think of it. He was 110% and had a solid dash every 18 seconds, he wasn't anywhere near Nurse or Blight like was often suggested at the time.

I guess you thought it was a free hit? When I was going for the achievement the hits I got were mainly due to survivor mistakes than my power.

True and funniest and biggest paradox is that they kept nerfing chucky to the ground while blight sit untouched and I believe he had his reworked addons that were still strong (first chucky version needed some changes, some nerfs then they nerf it to 110 killer with fast dash cooldown from 18 seconds to 10 and they kept him nerfing and were surprised many players stoped playing him and there were some tweaks from survivors when they played against chucky or xeno). Only thing is blight was always golden child of dbd and he kept most op addons for years without rework when some killer addons were nerfed straight up few months after, when bubba got charge rework bhvr would most likely delety billy from dbd history but players liked him so then came famos overheat buff. Not all killers are treated with same equality some are hated by devs through years like pig and billy others come op as hell and get small changes after many years (blight,nurse).

He was top 5 thats valid but he wasnt that op all he needed was small changes like loosing some procentage of hidey-hode mode duration when sliding under palett (like he looses when he hits m1 when in hidey-hode mode but not same procentage 50% is a lot) and make his dash not so easy to control like today but not so much thats all but twiter screamed and bhvr just swallowed and nerfed him same story with merchant.

i always tough this . One stun on old chucky and he had a massive 17 second cooldown on hidey ho at which point he was just an M1 110% killer.

It happens because its a new chapter, everyone is playing them, survivors are sick of seeing the same killer over and over, and everyone complains about it.
Unless it's clear game breaking, there should be no changes until the next chapter to avoid knee jerk nerfs.

People forgeting that killers that are slower like 110% killers and nurse need strong powers to help then catching up survivors because they lack base speed making them slower when looping. Im for the same idea to trap killers they are the ones starting the match loosing because they need to set up traps so I would assume their traps are realy strong to fill they time loss but no, same with hexes these perks should be glass cannons with very strong effects and having counter by destroying the totem so killer would loose that perk only valid hexes are like devour,noed,blood favor,undying these hexes are one of few that have strong effects.

It was annoying on Chucky but it was balanced out by the fact that Chucky quite literally had very little map mobility compared to other highly mobile Killers. Chucky could consistently get downs, but just lacks the map pressure and mobility to turn those downs into anything really meaningful.
Ghoul just has a better version of it on top of having insane map mobility and pressure, Idk why BHVR thought it was good design either. It feels like Ghoul puts me in far more lose/lose situations where I cannot do anything and I just go down without counterplay.
