Twins rework when?
This picture says it all. It is the absolute worst experience of any killer. Nothing like getting one hook, a 4k, and still nearly 40k points at the end of it all huh. Match was like 30-40 minutes too because it was just constant picking each-other up. There were even a few unbreakables this match too and still this is the result. How is this fun for anyone but the killer? How do you even continue to not change a killer whose entire power revolves around slugging.
This anti-slug update can't come soon enough. Third time this week I have bled out. And what's great, is that i got to sit there for the full four minutes waiting for the randoms to be slugged too so i can leave without a penalty.
Note: Why do i have everything blocked out? To protect the identity of other survivors and to keep yall from turning this into a perk argument. This is about the slug for the bleed out mechanic.

Their power doesn't revolve around slugging. That's just how alot of Twins players like to play.
-19 -
It will never come.
Look what happened last time, we are stuck with their current power.
13 -
a power that intentionally makes it difficult to hook people right away and encourages you to keep chaining downs does not revolve around slugging? what?
15 -
So you can't get a down with Victor, and then hook the survivor? Or follow up that down with another injure before hooking? There are options to playing Twins. Few Twins players use them though. Tbf given how buggy they can be it is somewhat understandable. If constantly send Victor across the map then sure slugging will naturally seem to be the only viable option.

why should i waste time walking up to slugged survivor when i can send victor away for another hit/slug and eventually use him to just chain 4 slugs?
if my options in playing twins are "hit&run + slug with victor to minimize extended downtime" or "waste even more massive amounts of time trying to get hooks normally" i dont have options.

ok hear me out - victor latches on both injured and downed people and is actually capable of somehow taking away hook stages from dying survivors
1 -
Doesn't mean their power revolves around slugging simply because you feel it's the easiest way to play.
-4 -
Not happening. We were waiting 2+ years for rework that ended up just being some QoL Changes.
4 -
They literally tried and they made it worst it had to be scrapped.
Best thing we can do is just let it be this rare killer we face sometimes
3 -
ughm no, when the power specifically hinders normal hooking and makes slugging easy, it does revolve around slugging, like it or not and no amount of wordplay is changing that.
6 -
of course it does, it's simply always more efficient to try and get injury/down after you downed a survivor with Victor.
Asking Twins to always swap back, walk to survivor and pick them up instead of trying to snowball is same as asking Oni to always pick survivor after downing them with Demon dash. It's just not efficient…
4 -
It most certainly does. You are severly hindering yourself if you are hooking every single survivor you are downing with victor instead of chaining hits/downs.
2 -
yeah their power isn't slugging but it absolutely encourages it. The best thing I think they could do is give victor the power to sacrifice himself to tp the survivor onto charlottes shoulder, that way they can easily use their power to get hooks.

Oppression should be buffed honestly it can be bypassed by corrective action and technician
Technician isnt ran that often but corrective action is.
Not sure if other perks can bypass it but i think oppression should lock a gen if failed skill check

Maybe they'll revisit them after whatever anti-slug is implemented

They've already had one. They spent two years working on it. It was a disaster. They had to revert almost all the changes before it even came off the PTB because the Twins became absurdly OP. More powerful than Nurse.

If I down someone with Victor and their teammate is RIGHT THERE... I kinda have to hit the teammate. If I swap to Charlotte, its just making a huge opportunity for that 2nd survivor to pick up their downed teammate before I get there.
3 -
That would be nice, although might need some testing. You'd essentially be able to hook them on any hook you want with that. Planting Charlotte in basement before picking up with Victor would be a thing.

It does just like onis (he has limited power for that he must work hard to get it and he must do big damage as possible because if he doesnt then he will miss blood orbs and will be forced to be m1). Twins can play without slugging but they are terrible best way is to cause as much damage as possible, they lack the ability to transport sharllote to downed survivors and they would loose more time they could so best way is be healty not injured and play in pairs when victor downs one other can kick him and heal other with some healing perk or if sharllote is far.

I fear another twins rework will break dbd coding.

Thats hard to explain to survivors who didnt play any of these killers against competend survivors teams you can try it but you will loose on time there wont be enough preasure to stop gens and game will be on powered exits very fast.

I keep saying this about Twins but nobody listens to me because "GRR BUT TWINS STRONK." No, no they're not strong. Their stealth is not that great and their mobility is mid, while their antiloop is the only strong part of their kit. The rest is camping hooks and chaining slugs with Victor, which shouldn't be the basis of what makes a Killer strong, ever. If the only reason your Killer is an A tier Killer is because they're really good at something heinously unfun, that is a badly designed Killer and not actually an A tier Killer.
When we get antislug changes, Twins will crater in strength because they're simply too buggy half the time and too weak at anything besides antiloop. All they really have is antiloop and a little stealth, unless you slug. That's not a strong Killer, that's a mid Killer disguising their flaws with an unfun and boring playstyle nobody enjoys. And that's why Twins' pickrate is so low, too, their strongest playstyle is the most boring (yet it's what their kit encourages) and their bugs make them impossible to enjoy. They suck to play as, they suck to play against, and they glitch out constantly, at this point the whole Killer needs scrapped or to go back to the drawing board. At least make it so Victor can't chain slugs!
But a rework would not work, either. The last rework was such an unfun overpowered disaster, I don't know how you fix this without entirely just completely reworking Twins. Maybe use the form switch system Dracula has and give Victor Chucky's camera, it's clear both Killers have badly powercrept Twins anyway.
It's truly such a shame this unique Killer will never be truly fixable and thus never made fun for most players… more proof that just being a strong Killer means nothing if you aren't also fun to play as.

more like bug fixes when?

Yep!
A terrible PTB, my friend. Really glad that rework never made it to live servers.

thats true tbh, there has to be something they can do to incentivise hooking tho. Maybe tp charlotte to victor then so you can't force basement.
0 -
That could work

I would suggest you try playing twins sometime.

Make it work in the reverse, give a "Swap places" button, where you can have victor and charlotte swap places during switching to one of them. So if you say, leave Charlotte somewhere, down a survivor with victor, swap them, and now you are charlotte and near the downed survivor.
Could also be used the other way for some interesting setups, and actually be able to function as "2 killers in 1"

Yeah, Deadman was suggesting that as well. Feel like that would work out pretty well. Most of the reason Twins is so slug heavy is because it generally takes at least twice as long to hook with them as anyone else.Making it easier to hook ppl would definitely lower how much slugging there is compared to other killers.

And straight buffs. To an already borderline S tier killer. Just BHVR things.

"Toxic slugging" has nothing to do with any killer in particular though. Anyone can down someone and go search the map for their teammates.

Twins doesnt really get power from slugging, its just hooking as Twins is harder and more time consuming than literally every other killer. It takes at least twice as much time to saunder over as Charlotte and get someone to hook.
As for killers like Myers and Plague that have a power gauge draining, ppl would probably be more willing to hook if those timers would freeze while carrying a survivor and restart after the hook.
