Attempting to upgrade
So.
Despite playing (mainly) on Xbox Series X, I am using the disc version of DBD on Xbox One (yes I know I've been playing for a while XD).
I've been wanting to upgrade to the Xbox Series X version (ideally digital but physical is fine) but, due to the sheer amount of DLC/time/money that went in the game over the years, and DBD's tendency to be…finicky when it comes to anything, I'm hesitant to "upgrade" since I'm simply not willing to start from scratch, hell I'm not gonna pay twice for anything else than the game itself.
Does anyone know if it's possible to keep everything? Did anyone ever go through something similar?

Yes, you will keep everything as it's tied to your xbox profile so as long as you still play with the same one, you'll be fine.

Switching to digital is fine. I started on physical Xbox One version too but now digital on Xbox Series X and PS5. If you want to play it super safe, link to a Behaviour account and snyc it.
