Curiously flexible Xenomorph Licence
Kinda noticing that the Xenomorph licence seems really flexible compared to a lot of other licences... Xeno gets some awesome original skins, and to be fair Ripley has been better treated than most regarding new skins.
While I'm not a Disney fan at all (at least anymore after being a real die hard fan 10 years ago)... Suppose this is what happens when a major company hard buys up all the rights to IPs... makes it easier to get such things done.
Long may it continue. 🤘

Yeah kinda surprised since I expected Disney would be quite strict about this, good to see cool original skins for Xenomorph though

that hopefully means a ton of skins for predator when he comes. (and darth vader if that turns into a thing)

IIRC Mathieu Cote (or one of the devs) said awhile ago that Disney are really easy to work with. When we've had Netflix pulling stunts with ST and Pinhead getting taken away, it's actually nice to see.

In all fairness, Alien crossover media, and even just the series in general, is pretty infamous for new Xenomorph variations, especially when it comes to paying for them.
In Disney's eyes, would this really be much different than handing off the Alien Licence to a Toy Distributor?

We eating good, thank you BHVR! More awesome xenomorph skins please!

I kinda hope Disney buy Netflix one day (I mean they may as well, since they already own pretty much everything else).
Might be the only way we get a Squid Game chapter or Robin and Eddie from Stranger Things.

Nah, one corporation consuming another will not end well.

The idea of Disney being a easy company to work with is a idea that does not compute in my brain, but if it means we keep getting more cool Alien skins (Or, even better, a future Predator chapter) then I'm not complaining

I was being flippant but I guess that doesn't really come across well on an Internet forum. I don't actually think a monopoly is a good thing but it's against forum rules to get political so I'll just leave it at that.

They ruin every IP they buy though...

Ever since they bought Fox, Disney have been surprisingly aggressive with Alien in particular. Soon after Disney buys the IP we get Aliens: Fireteam Elite, the Alien Chapter, Romulus, Alien: Earth, and, last but certainly not least, an announcement for Alien: Isolation 2. Predator has been doing well too, but Disney's on a tear with Alien and don't seem to be slowing down.
I wouldn't be surprised if BHVR does more skins for the Xenomorph because they are confident that it will get approved. It already has the second largest amount of skins in the game for a licensed killer at 7 skins. Ghostface beats it at 12 plus some additional mask items, though Ghostface is a hybrid original/licensed killer, given that the mask is what's licensed. However, the Xeno clears every other licensed killer quite easily, with most other licensed killers having between 2 and 4 skins.
