What is your favorite non-meta perk that comes in clutch and wins you the game ?
Wake Up!
I love this perk. I just got a 4 person SoloQ escape with this against a Spirit by opening the gate and taking a protection hit. All my teammates made it 🙌
Also, a 3 SoloQ escape against an aggressive Trapper. I was able to open the gate quickly and unhook the teammate right by the gate 🙌
I didn't expect to survive either match.

Agitation. I get a free hit almost every game with Agitation. It can snowball games too if survivors are lingering around while you carry. And unless my math is way off, it's a good way to identify cheaters who are faster than a killer with Agi.

Agitation best killer perk. Reduces downtime, sometimes gives free hits, counters sabotage plays, helps guarantee scourge hooks. What's not to like. Also my pick on the Killer side of things
For survivor, my pick has to go to Blast Mine. In the current state of the game, Killers kick gens quite regularly and making it take longer can actually buy a team so much time if it happens many times in a match. People underestimate how much wasting the Killers time for a couple extra seconds can really help.
2 -
I agree with Blast Mine, friend. The extra time it buys for the survivors can actually be quite helpful.
5 -
Soul Guard. Gaining endurance when recovering from the dying state is almost mandatory, especially with all the slugging going on lately.

Bardic inspiration
Just play to the killer and hope for the best…4 -
I always run Lightborn but of course I do still suffer the stun.
If a Killer is not using Lightborn, does it waste anymore time than if they were?
Does the blindness and stun wear off at different times or simultaneously?
0 -
Not really, the blind and the stun end at the same time I believe. Or around about the same time.
I read somewhere that the only killer who can bypass Blast Mine's stun is demanifested sadako but I haven't tested it so I'm not 100% sure that's true.

@MechWarrior3 is this true do you know?

Alert. Not only helps you in chase but it's a really good information perk. If the killer is not stealthy, you'll know where the killer is almost all the time.
An honorable mention is Lightweight before the scratchmarks update. I used to run Lightweight and Fixated every single game because was really funny to confuse the killers with the old scratchmarks.

This is not true.

Damn, I was hoping it was since that'd be cool
Oh well you live and you learn.

For Survivor: Lightweight. Does a lot more than you think.
For Killer: Thrilling Tremors. It was always underrated; it now actually works as a gen control perk but it really gets value for performing double duty as info. Two perks in one.

Play with your food. I have become addicted to it on Michael. Moving 10-15% faster with tier 3 ready to pop is just so good. It's great for ending chases much quicker for an M1 killer.

Killer - Merciless Storm
Survivor - empathetic connection
0 -
They end around the same time, but Lightborn gives you the location of who placed the Blast Mine, and that can be incredibly useful!
0 -
Can someone give an example what is meta now?
0 -
Her demanifest ignores pallet stuns, and head on though. It’ll counter the new perk coming out next week more than likely too

Scene partner if it counts to non meta

Pain Res and DMS.

The perk I always bring for surv is Empathy. Gives me fantastic map awareness, let's me heal teammates, know where the killer is, and also shows me when I have a useless teammate who's hiding in the basement or behind a rock cause they got hit.
I don't really have a go-to for killer that's really interesting. I bring boring stuff like Lightborn and Iron Grasp. I just want to get to the hook without issue.
I love this perk and used to always run it. I find it hilarious but I have the opposite experience with it being useful and pretty much stopped using it. Not only would it get me found when I'm stealthing, but a lot of killers tend to take it weirdly personal, like your mocking them or something. It got me targeted quite a bit.

I have started really liking Fogwise recently

Isn't agitation 115% speed? So regular killer speed. But well you probably play nurse a lot so then yeah I can see why. I haven't really seen cheaters anymore just one legion who downed everyone in 10s start of the match and moved like 500% speed. But I probably can't really identifyi suble cheaters from something like game lags.
0 -
Fogwise, Stake Out, and Hyperfocus is so much fun.
2 -
I think agitation makes you move at basically the same speed as a running survivor, or slightly faster. If survivor m/s is 100% then agitation killer is like 102%-ish.
If a survivor doesn't run in a straight line away from someone with agitation you basically can catch up really quickly.

Crows and Lightborn

I'm taking this thread as a sign that I need to take Agitation for a spin more often

wicked+ second wind+Babysitter.
the ideal scenario is my team gets all the hook stages, then near the end I leverage my hooks and bring chase near basement.
don't mind me, just gonna see myself out. literally.

Parental Guidance I've found very useful

I took Clean Break just to make achievements, but it became one of my favourite perks recently. Some matches it has insane value, especially when paired with Resi. Literally not completely stupid version of Syringe which I don't feel shame to use.
0 -
Just wait till after the event when remote hooking isn’t live anymore ❤️ that way you don’t waste a perk slot.
0 -
It's actually very useful in solo q when you don't know from which side the killer is coming or in chases to see if the killer is trying a mindgame
1 -
My most underated solo Q perk: Strength in Shadows honestly, I feel it has came in clutch a few times for me recently, I only really use it when I have no other option to be healed so I dont get tunneled out. So funny how many killers dont think to check basement (without aura reading).
2 builds I really like:
Champion of Light, Exultation, Flash Bang, Residual manifest (My Alan Wake build LOL)
Overcome, Empathic, Bond, Duty of Care (so I can help others in solo queue and save them)1 -
I've definitely gotten use out of it. I particularly like it when the perk sees the killer coming towards me when I didn't, but I feel like I do just as well with Empathy, Alert, or Fogwise, without the downside. It's also super annoying when your trying to heal or do a gen and you just keep screaming. I'd love them to rework it so you can scream and do actions. I intend to bring it back when the 7 presets go into effect but for now I'm being boring.
1 -
Yeah, that would be useful and less annoying if the screams wouldn't interfere in actions

- If I had to mention just one perk for survivors, I'd say Dark Sense. It's extremely useful because it provides very useful information constantly (but it has the drawback of activating even when you're on the hook).
- For killers, I'd say "Remember Me." When it works well, it's one of the strongest perks in the game... unfortunately, it also depends on luck.

Aftercare. I've gotten so much value seeing where my teammates are being chased or which gen they are doing.
Also in endgame its valuable for the people to see my aura if im opening an exit gate or if im running to them to take a protection hit.
1 -
Um nope it's 115%.
Agitation description while transporting a body, your terror radius is increased by 12 meters and you have 18% haste.
Killer normal movement speed while moving body is 97%. With 102% you would not be catching anyone...
-1 -
Yeah on second look I was wrong but It's still not 115% because a survivor running in a straight line away from you will take quite a while to catch up to
Carrying movement speed is 3.68m/s with Agitation it's 4.3424 m/s or 108%
So still faster than a running survivor, but not as fast as 115% m/s
0 -
I believe killer carry speed is the same across the roster. Agitation makes you slightly faster than 100% speed. A survivor shouldn't be gaining distance on a killer with Agi.
0 -
Well I looked now the carrying speed and it should be 110% with agitation tier 3 as killers move 92% normally. I don't know where I remembered 97%.

so many of the perks that start with L. (Lightweight, lightfooted, lucky break ect) Best letter in the perk alphabet in my book.

Resurgence, regardless of soloq or swf. It is a major help against gift of pain (so long as they heal immediately and not run to neverland to heal me). Its great against killers who return to hook, we can get the heal off. If I have to use a medkit to heal myself I dont deplete the whole thing. I love it.
For killer I do enjoy predator (im pretty sure that's the name). It is helpful especially when I go against better survivors who can loop since im newer to killer.
