Seeing Each Other's Perks Will Backfire
There are so many people who believe if it isnt meta or something they like - it isnt worth running. This is harmful to newer players or even others who like mixing it up or play for fun (not just for escapes). Survivors are already fairly toxic, and I imagine this will just exasperate it. I have been left on hook to die for using weaving spiders before because "who uses that". I know others who get targeted by teammates for similar issues. Especially since there are so many archive challenges that require certain perks, or are easier to complete with a more "selfish" build (especially if soloq). I just do not seeing this ending well due to the nature of people. I imagine it may effect console people in a different way since we have no pre-game chat. I would love to hear others thoughts on this matter though!

I'm concerned about this too.
The devs have said they're trying to avoid this problem, but I truly have no idea how you could possibly accommodate for this while still seeing perks in the lobby. Maybe they'll shift it to the loading screen instead? That could work.

I mean this will probably happen occasionally, but I think the positives HEAVILY outweigh the cons considering how many more perks are going to become viable in Solo Q

For that reason i don´t think they will do it.
If they do the dodging will be so insane that they have to revert it. Or it comes with the change that you can´t leave a lobby anymore.
Also i am not so sure the positives will outweigh. You know the community…
The chat will be like "… don´t run xyz… thats garbage, run zyx instead", "… no dh and ds???", "… no mither - you will kill us all", "… i am dcing"

I personally can't wait to never play Survivor again because I run "lore-accurate" builds that usually wind up being pretty bad. I've been here long enough to know how bad the community is: they WILL dodge once they see my Taurie with Treacherous Crows, even though I'm probably never actually going to use it unless we're already winning.
They've already confirmed on two separate occasions that they're going to do it: once at PAX and again during the recent AMA.

Imo the best way to do it is add the perks to the pause menu. That way the trial is already started so you won't have a bunch of dodging but people will still have the information.

this is one of those things that once it happens, the concerns will seem overblown in hindsight.
should humanity be held back by 1% of the population who are silly geese?
nobody is more qualified than me to speak on this subject as I run Invocation:Treacherous Crows. I'm sick and tired of people loading in and crash out and rage by seeing me do an invocation that they start working with the killer and throw it all at 5 gens.
id rather they leave in the pre game lobby. us survivors can afford to cherry picked our lobbies I think a lot of us are tired of crapshoot matches. if somebody would leave over a perk, then I didn't want to play with them anyways.

I think it will be fine so long as they add lobby dodge prevention, which needs to happen anyways, lobby shopping is a real issue rn causing a lot of backfilling and I imagine would fix some of the matchmaking woes people have.

I think it would be fine, if they just show it during the game (when you open menu), so you have chance to see it, but don't have to.
Most players won't be bothered to check it anyway.
That would also prevent lobby dodging.1 -
It'll be reverted. We can't have nice things in this community.

Gasp! People don't want to play with someone who spends two minutes only to play the entire game with one health state? All for extremely situational aura reading?

hey, get with the times, it's only one minute now!

Helldivers 2 already had this problem, where people were getting booted, killed, or abandoned for not running meta stuff. This community is significantly more toxic that HD2 so i am not looking forward to this at all.

You're kinda proving the point that people would use this system to lobby dodge, here. Even if you think it's justified, that's still a problem.
To reference your other post, that'd be why we can't have nice things.

This is exactly the type of behavior we are trying to avoid having in our community. All perks exist and should be valid to use, that should mean that everyone is not entitled to throw everyone's match because of something like treacherous.

Honestly, I believe this will be similar to the prestige thing where people could see each other's prestige levels in the lobby.
Players will see the builds, dodge if they don't like them, and it will reach a point where the feature will be removed.

Feels like Opposite Day, but instead of killers cherry picking because items, prestiges, or ranks, it’s survivors carting lobbies over perks. I already know. It’s a great idea in theory but we’re all about to spend a significant amount of time in lobby. In a perfect world we can have this as just useful information. I see it causing more problems in the end though over preconceived notions than actually its intended use. So much dodging all around is about to happen.

Yep, I am pretty sure that will happen.
Some players will lobby dodge the moment they see a perk they don't approve of. It is unfortunate, but it will happen.

Then killers are going to dodge because they don’t want to face that when they start pulling profiles and see everyone is a sweat lord. Until they find the derpy lobby nobody dodged in with hours all over the place. Then we’ll see mmr is flawed, lobby dodging posts, why does every team feel like I’m going against swf, Survivors at each others throats over perks.
