So when are map offerings being retired?
I ask this because since the changes that have been made with only a 20 percent chance to send you to a map they’re pointless. There is also no reason to have made them secret offerings either

We realy dont get why people keep saying "pointless". If you hate whatever maps are on rotation you can make it so theres a 1/5 chance that its a different realm. Statistics say thats a good chance. The reason for secrecy is because some people will happily hunt down whomever tried playing those offerings.

dude I got autohaven like 3 times and then I played a map (the game) guess what I got autohaven 4th time so yes maps are useless.
does nothing for map rotation.

I use the word pointless as someone who used to play them to see new maps when they cabe out you were garenteeed to at least go to that realm now it might not effect anything

yea and with this I can't really play jump scare Myers most jump scare killers.
also most maps I been getting are macmillan and autohaven after playing on tho maps 8 to 10 times were get a different map

Considering we've seen people on these very forums say they'd hunt a survivor down if they new who brought map offerings and knowing our community, seems like a pretty safe bet some would.

my own luck? people have said macmillan and autohaven show up alot and it because there more the 2 ver of these maps.
% needs to be higher or get rid of the maps altogether.

20% is way too less of a chance to make them worth using. Because you will not only not get your map most of the time, but you are also missing out on other Offerings like BP-Offerings.
IMO Map Offerings should always be 100% and the issue is more that the Maps are too x-sided so that people use Map Offerings. Going to a Map to gain an advantage is fine, the problem is more that the advantage was too much for some Maps. (Even tho, nowadays I think that due to them nerfing Map Offerings, it is less urgent to rework some Maps.)
They should just retire Map Offerings and give BP-Compensation.

Because at some point you have it so much, it's millions BP eating dust on your shelf. I would gladly convert them into something else

I feel the same way. Been trying to help a friend get their last 2 escapes from RPD for an achievement over the last 3 days, and we ended up using NINETEEN (19) map offerings before we actually got there. No stacking (since they no longer stack). They're a waste of bloodpoints.

it also makes all the map dependant generator achievements an absolute nightmare to get, it’s torture.

Funny thing is that I got RPD three times last night and the only time I didn't was the second game where a survivor brought the RPD map offering.

Hopefully they will retire them. They're not worth bringing and just clutter up bloodwebs with more filler. Same for luck, hatch, and basement spawn offerings.

You know what's kinda sad atm. I've had Killers and even Survivors targeting specific Survivors by either tunneling or not unhooking them because they dared to not use the event BP offerings.
Seems like even BP offerings have to become secret, it's insane how mad some people are.

I'm on the side that thinks map offerings should block that particular map from showing up.

But that also achieves practically nothing. If you use a map offering to avoid a certain map there are probably at least 4 other maps that have the same thing that made you want to avoid that first one

Not sure how many would make it public knowledge that they'd target over that, but we've seen it in the past and it's definitely more than likely in the present. Also apparently MrDardon above has had people go target others due to lack of bp offerings which sadly wouldn't surprise us in the least.

As those who doesn't give a flying fk about bp, map offerings still are worth using if we want a change of scenery. Our own opinions say it should stay a percentage cause, as much as we'll miss scratch mirror Mikey, we're not fans of rigging the trial in the favor of one side or the other. We want random (dis)advantage.
A recycling center would be nice. That said they only collect dust if you don't use them.

I’ve been trying to use some for achievements but they rarely seem to work at 20%, I think I could be fine if it didn’t use up the offering whether it worked or not. It feels bad going through 3 or 4 offerings without any working and having none left.

just revert the changes. there's no functionality difference between 20% chance or 100/0% as the killer can just be a Sacrificial Ward main if they hate maps(hi, this was me when I wasn't going to an indoor level or Toba)
