Your best salt?

Yesterday, a survivor was trying to be toxic and click their flashlight at me twice, so I was like OK, I'll play around with you, and then I nodded at them every time I downed them, and especially when their DS was rendered useless by my Enduring.

So they were eliminated about 8 minutes before the game ended because I found a Kate who was dead on hook but felt bad for her since I didn't even let her do a gen because she kept running at me.

The Claudette was there in the post game chat and said 'Why did you nod at me?' I responded with 'LOLOLOLOLOLOLL don't click your flashlight and be salty if toxicity is returned, just because I'm a default Billy doesn't mean I'm bad' (100% he plays fortnite).

Then he's says 'I wasn't toxic' and I was just dying on my seat 😂😂😂😂. The funny thing is, he stopped being toxic after our first chase, where I mindgamed him so hard and he begun to feel a lot of pressure not because he 'wasn't toxic'. But I continued because he was quite bad 😂😂😂😂.

I also told him, if you're going to try to bully a killer, at least have some skill. Since if you're bad, your efforts will be in vain.

Moral of the story is, don't try to trigger a good Billy otherwise they'll mess you up. 😉

@Mr_Jay_Stark are you on PSN by any chance and did this happen in the last two weeks? If these match, then the reason I was mad was because you stood right in front of me as I was trying to get the fountain but instead you used the fountain even tho you have no mither and I got 1 hit because of it. If it isn't you then...oops.

    @TreemanXD

Am I looking at Japanese porn or a salt screenshot on the top?

I think all my best instances of salt are when a killer gets so mad at me and likely everyone else on my team that they send us messages complaining about us being a swf (I havent played swf in like 2 months now, maybe 3). Or when I play killer it's when people who tried being toxic for the sake of helping their friend they're boosting get mad at me for killing the newbie first. Which I always do, because it makes me laugh knowing that the team probably feels bad for their weakest link dying when they meant to protect them and make them laugh by bullying the killer.

The other day I got notification on my mobile psn messenger app whilst I was kitting up for work, the message was "You're trash at dead by daylight". After looking at my recorded footage, it turns out he was a killer who I ran around for five generators a couple days before he sent the message. I found it funny that he was still thinking about messaging me two days after I played against him.

Back when I was a consistent rank 1 survivor I use to have three rank 1 killers who would always just focus on me, face camp me and smack me on hook until I'm dead.

Although I get salty when the killer only kills me and farms with the three other survivors.

@Nutty_Professor yeah some rank 1's are idiots.

Most survivors get super salty when you camp after the gens are completed. I don't run NOED. If I have someone hooked when all 5 gens are completed, I'm going to protect my hook. I have nothing else to protect. It's not my fault your team turned my one kill into four kills. That's bad game play on your part.

I have 2 I would like to share.

1 time I was Billy and I just had a bad game. So I am chasing a Claud out this exit gate and this Jake teabags me the runs in and tea bags me hard before an escape. In the lobby after He ABUSES me so much for being #########. So, I load a lobby, no jake, Load a new lobby. Rinse and repeat and after 3 lobbys I get him. So Green mori time. Cutting the story short I mori him and He DC's then let everyone else go without harming them. Good salt.

Another I had a Nurse who was salty that I played immersed. I wasn't immersed. I just an not dumb enough to run into the Nurse on 'The Game'. I got about 25000 BP and the next best survivor got 6k. I did both gens and got almost every unhook as well as escaping the Nurse and healing (Balanced Landing OP), then hatch. She got mad salty and then just left mid chat.

    Good times

This is pretty recent, so I was Freddy and a meg was on a gen and she fixed it in my face then t-bagged a bit then ran to a standard loop, I knocked her down and she wasn't wiggling so brought her to the Feb she finished in my face and smacked it a few times and put her on a hook right next to it. End of the game she was the last survivor and I drowned her and she wasn't wiggling, so brought her ALL the way back to the gen she fixed in my face and smacked it again shaking my head. And put her back on the hook that was right next to it. After the match I got a friend request just saying "Ok I won't fix gens in you're face anymore >_<" this isn't salt but I found it a little funny, I was just messing around when smacking the fixed gen and shaking my head lol.

I'm 100% serious since I'm kind of new to the forums. What do you mean when someone tea bags in game, and how do you nod your head and stuff as the killer?

  • Member Posts: 2,161

@Runbabyrun You nod by looking up and down. Survivors can nod, too, and both can shake their head. If someone is doing something I don't want them to (like healing in the heartbeat), I'll stop them and shake my head.

Teabagging (or Tbagging) is when you crouch in quick successions. It's typically used as a taunt, but someone can also Tbag to say hello or thank you.

Ah ok, another word I'm seeing a lot is piping, like de-pipping and such. What do these mean as a lot of strategy conversations involve those words

  • Member Posts: 1,250

I guess this is just general salt:

I mainly play survivor but i'm starting to try out all the killers. I am leveling up my Hag and I cannot believe the number of psn messages I am getting. Every other game I am being called a camper and trash.

Yes I place 2-3 symbols around the hook but I don't camp it. I run off go look for others. Not surprisingly a trap is tripped when survivors go in for unhooks and I teleport back and down one of them.

All these camper messages are starting to get annoying and I'm considering turning off my messages when I play hag...

A off-brand streamer beat me on a trial I was casually playing on a weaker killer. I was just grinding BPs and not even using add-ons, trying to make the game fun for everyone. Super casual, laid back game on amazing internet I think most survivors would be thankful for. This guy decides to BM me at the exit gates to look cool for all 8 of his viewers.

As luck would have it, I got him again in my lobby the next trial. So what do I do? Grab Billy, equip some add-ons, meta perks, Ivory and play a map. Find him first, instantly hook him. Buzz off to the side of the map and did a U-turn to double back on the same hook as his predictable SWF team unhooks him. Insta down him and mori him. I wrecked his game and smacked around his SWF afterwards.

Ofc dude hangs around his lobby to talk smack afterwards. But he was pretty furious after I checked the vod on his stream, "rhee I hope he comes in here to talk smack so I can ban him rheeee". Pretty funny, but he got what he deserved. Toxic people cry the hardest when you beat them at their own game.

  • Member Posts: 5,873

Yeah 😂 I can be pretty toxic if I want to, I love how mad they get when you beat them 😂😂

  • Member Posts: 38

I typically get a TON more salt from survivors as killer than from killers as a survivor. I feel like if you dont play to their imaginary rules (i.e. Tunnelling, camping, killing, breathing, ect.) they feel offended almost. The mentality of "i can be toxic and not suffer the consequences" is the prime location of gourmet Himalayan pink sea salt. As for killers, a simple loop for 5 gens and tbag (with a few points) brings it out of them.

Just today I was playing Plague and the SWF was way too altruistic. I hooked Meg and got Corrupt Purge and they FED themselves to me. In the end I downed all of them and got a 4K. The Laurie then messaged me and said I was trash for slugging when there was three generators left and that I was trash because nobody pipped because I was a loser killer. Well...I pipped so I was happy.

Really though...am I supposed to NOT down somebody when they run right into to me. I don’t have to play nice if I don’t want to.

  • Member Posts: 2,919

I do that quite often if I run into the same toxic player twice in a row. I’m not against running Prayer Beads and the Amulet and making your round hell if you want to try and BM me. I don’t typically get players trying to play overly toxic toward me since it’s kinda hard to be toxic toward a good Spirit. You can’t loop a good Spirit.

  • Member Posts: 612

Looping a good Spirit is possible if the survivor mains Spirit as their killer. I'm pretty good at looping a Spirit when I play survivor, because I know when to keep looping, and when to run to the next loop, used pallet or not.

What I don't understand is when people try to self-care at pallets against a spirit. I had two people d/c on me because i downed them at pallets while they were self-caring. It's a good time.

  • Member Posts: 5,873

Ikr? It's so dumb, she can get you without you noticing 😂😂😂

  • Member Posts: 2,919
    edited April 2019

I’m also decent at looping a Spirit because I mainly play her, but it’s just a toss up on who is gonna win the mindgame. If she can follow scratches and footsteps very well then she’ll more than likely win. It’s one reason I put Spirit above Billy. A good Billy is easily looped, a good Spirit will usually win a mindgame easily. Spirit is loppable but she can cut it off if she knows what to do.

I will stand still at a pallet and see survivors running in circles, healing themselves, and crouch right by the pallet. If I’m lucky they’ll even vault over into me. The smart thing to do is run away from the loop in the opposite direction.

  • Member Posts: 5,873

But if the survivor keeps doing that, the Spirit can just properly phase and kill them 😂😂 I love it.

  • Member Posts: 5,873

Also I can juke a Spirit well because I understand her.

  • Member Posts: 942

Clicking your flashlight is used as a way to get the attention of the killer. I would not consider it toxic.

  • Member Posts: 5,873

She did it while I was chasing a laggy af guy, to try to bully me 😂😂😂 I can't blame her, my outfit and no Ruin makes me look like a baby 😂😂😂

  • Member Posts: 612

It is toxic, because this is supposed to be a game where you don't want the killers attention.

  • Member Posts: 942

    @Incirion

In a situation where my teammate is dead on hook, getting tunneled, or I'm responsible for putting them in a bad situation, I will do my best to take the aggro. Yeah, I might die for that, but sometimes you just gotta take one for the team. On top of that, some people may just want to instill a chase. Chases are more fun than repairing a generator, that's for sure. Not only that, but in a lot of situations, you need to start a chase just so you can pip. I don't know if you knew this, but it's fairly difficult for a survivor to pip if they have never come in contact with the killer. Hell, I think I've had games where I safety-pipped or de-pipped because the killer was either really bad or they decided to afk.

Just because a survivor is trying to get your attention, it does not make them toxic. If they're teabagging and clicking their flashlight at you at every pallet drop, sure you can call them toxic.

  • Member Posts: 942

@Poweas They probably just wanted to take the aggro off of the survivor. That is what survivors are supposed to do after all: Help each other survive.

  • Member Posts: 612

Love it when they vault across the pallet into me. And the best part is the next time they pallet stand, you can haunt around to them and hit them, because they're expecting the fake out.

  • Member Posts: 84

My best salt was when i made a big streamer (not saying who) DC live when i nodded my head to him while he was on a hook for a second. i brought a mori for him, lucky for me there was another smaller streamer that was live. still got that clip to this day.

  • Member Posts: 1,358

Had this beauty last night. I stood in the basement with my chainsaw revved with my Insidious the entire game. The salty survivor decided to come down stairs into the basement and wander around in front of me, so I killed them. Surprise. They got super pissed.

  • Member Posts: 2,919

I don’t get the point if running BBQ if you’re gonna be a Leatherface basement camper. If the survivors are smart then you’ll get one stack, MAYBE two

Why do survivors run into the basement with an Insidious LF? Why do they go toward the basemwnt AT ALL with a LF? Whenever I go against LF I always go to the complete opposite side of the map of where the basement is.

@MegMain98Its not like i was camping anyone down there. Look at my points, I'm obviously not trying that hard. I just threw on perks. I only do it to get my Leatherface dailies. I don't know why survivors run into the basement with Insidious Leatherface. But it's guaranteed, at least one person per game, will show up down there. The only time I've ever had no one show up, was when I had a triple d/c and the fourth guy said hatch opened in front of him when i asked about it in post game chat. The point isn't that I was Leatherface standing in the basement, the point is the survivor telling me that i should "literally kill myself irl."

  • Member Posts: 18

lol so I had a match earlier today on Yoko Ono Estate (I hate that map btw) got one kill about mid way, and the remaining survivors screwed themselves by leaving the last 3 gens too close together, so I kept patrolling them, for the longest time nobody had touched a single one...they were all just stealthing around seemingly forever, and when one of them finally got brave enough to try, I tried looking for them but didn't find them. (I was huntress so they could hear me coming a mile away) Every time I caught a glimpse of someone they would disappear into the unlimited shrubbery of sadness (I'm not great at tracking on that map sorry) so I'd go back to the gens. Eventually Feng Min used her key to escape through the hatch and I defended it until it closed again. Apparently I was holding the game hostage by not letting them all escape and they "all reported me" oh no... I guess I'm supposed to hold their hands, show them which generators to repair and then lay down a red carpet to the hatch? Is not allowing the whole team a free escape a bannable offense? I wish someone would have told me

  • Member Posts: 2,919

People get waaaayyy too worked up over a video game. Just move on to the next match and don’t worry about what happened last round.

Not to mention that it is pretty easy to counter a basement Leatherface. No reason to get salty over a very counterable build. Especially seeing how you didn’t have Iron Grasp or Agitation.
