Killer Concept- The Champion (Athlete/Olympian Killer, Not Frank Stone)

“The crowd roared for their hero. He showed them a legend.”

A young man with a jaw like granite poses with a sports drink. Condensation drips down sculpted forearms as he flashes a flawless, white grin. Stadium lights halo his perfect hair. His body is veined and lean beneath an American flag-styled tracksuit. Behind him, a tagline blares across screens from gym walls to airport terminals:
"Push Past Perfect."

He is America’s son. Or so the country believes.

His real name is buried beneath sponsorships and stage names…“The Golden Boy”…“The Jaguar”…“Champion.” Not a person. A product. Engineered by handlers and a father who knew exactly where to place the bruises—never the face, never the arms.

From meets to studios to press tours, his schedule was packed tighter than his smile. He trained for gold by day and was sent by his father to “entertain” widowed brand investors by night. There were no off-seasons. Only pageants. Performances. Punishments.

He was trained to be wanted. That beauty and perfection controlled people. That if he performed, on the field, on camera, on the dates, the world would keep turning.

And for a while, it did.

But the Olympic Village wasn’t quiet. Whispers returned, ones he heard as a child, about his body, his father, who he really belonged to. When another athlete joked about whose room he’d be in that night, the mask cracked.

He didn’t remember grabbing the javelin. He didn’t remember the first scream. Only the sound of tendons tearing and a voice…his voice…screaming so loud his throat neared bleeding.

It wasn’t a performance. It was rage. Pure, rotted, beautiful rage. He moved like a medalist, but not for a country. Not for a camera. For himself. Years of humiliation and silence unleashed like a storm. He didn’t stop until the room was quiet.

He stood barefoot in blood, clutching the javelin his father had gifted him. His face was half-gone…torn by his own hands, or not, no one could say. Police bullets pierced his chest, but still he stood.

In the end, nothing they gave him could stop him.
The bullets failed. The silence broke.. And then…

Something stronger stepped onto the field.

He didn't fall. He was chosen.

The Champion escaped... but not into freedom. Into something far worse.

NEW KILLER: The Champion

Weapon: The Javelin
Movement Speed: 110%
Terror Radius: 32 meters
Height: Tall

Killer Description:
A tall, young athletic man dressed in torn track shorts and a bloodied singlet. His sculpted frame is riddled with bullet wounds, and half his face has been violently torn away, revealing sinew, shattered teeth, and a permanent sneer. Once hailed as a national icon, The Champion now runs only for blood.

Killer Power: The Gold Standard
“Push past perfect.”

The Champion’s weapon, Javelin, is a entity-fueled amalgamation of a pole vault and competition-grade spear. He uses it to control both momentum and offense, combining athletic speed with direct, focused aggression.

Special Ability: Victory Vault
Hold the Power button to charge a vault forward, traveling up to 20 meters in a straight line. Releasing the button launches The Champion in a leap, allowing him to clear low objects, cross map space, or close gaps with Survivors.

Landing on a survivor launches them 6 ms from the hit location, dealing a damage state on healthy survivors and deep wound on injured survivors. They are also inflicted with deafened status effect for 10 seconds.

Vaults have a 8-second cooldown

Special Attack: Javelin Toss
Press the Ability button to throw the Javelin up to 16 meters in a arched path.

If it strikes a Survivor, they take 1 health state of damage

Hit Survivors are inflicted with "Rattled" for 30 seconds

While Rattled, The Champions terror radius layers randomly, rendering audio cues in chase unreliable

The Javelin returns automatically after 7 seconds or when it strikes the environment.

LOADING ANIMATION: The ground of the trial map quakes as powerful legs land. The Champion has just vaulted into the arena. He lands in a crouch, then rises slowly, his body gleaming in stars, stripes and gore. Bullet wounds pulse with a dark fluid. His half-torn face twitches, revealing tendons beneath a shredded grin.

He beats his chest twice like a gorilla, then lets out a short, guttural “WOOF.” The camera zooms in just as he cracks his neck to one side. A javelin phases into his hand with a crackle of Entity energy.

MORI ANIMATION: The survivor attempts to rise to their feet, catching their breath. In a sudden, seamless motion, the champion sprints toward the survivor, but plants his javelin the ground. He begins a high vault, and grabs the survivor by the collar, launching them into the air with him. At the peak of the arch, the Champion hoists the survivor overhead, and with a single practiced motion, spears them through the chest. The body sails down and the javelin impales in the dirt, while the Champion lands in a perfect squat.

(I haven't really thought of any perks for him- any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I am a part time author so I really like to focus on lore/character design when I do these, your feedback is super valued in those areas)

wait so its a dash killer and a projectile killer? And both can deal damage? I'm sorry but that's an absurd combo

like yeah the dash can't down, but dashing into someone and then throwing a projectile at them

and the projectile cooldown doesn't apply if it misses? So against an injured survivor its essentially an infinite ammo huntress with mobility? And that's not really that conditional because the dash can't down but the projectile can, so you're actually incentivized to do so. You do lose out on orbitals, but survivors within 16 meters is very common in chase, and you can use the dash to catch up

Hey, thanks for reading and replying. I think we may have a misunderstanding on the cooldown. By saying "or on impact", I mean if it hits the environment, the same 7 second cooldown applies as if you hit a survivor. I also really don't think mobility plus a limited range projectile that can down is OP- Springtrap is also "infinite ammo huntress with mobility" and is pretty balanced. Also the range of his throw is only deathslinger range, and travels in arch, so really a close-distance orbital is the only ranged power he has. So really, I would see his biggest issue would be people exclusively going for mobility dashes and avoiding javelin shots, not necessarily combo'ing a vault into a throw. There would be nearly an 8 second gap between vaulting and being able to throw the javelin, allowing the survivor to find safety. I should have specified vaulting puts your javelin throw on cooldown as well.

ah, that makes a lot more sense

I still wouldn't consider springtrap's mobility to be equivalent at all though, his mobility is through map objects and survivors can use them too. A dash power is a chase tool, you use it to get hits, not for mobility.
