Why is Streetwise not killswitched?

Oh there was me thinking that the really buggy part was being able to apply it to anything you wanted but I guess you still probably could choose certain items to appear with certain perks. Well I'll try this again with residual manifest then. Thanks

it wont work with a flashlight from the lobby, has to be one from a chest. if you want to see it in a custom put on residual manifest over hope. this is part of the reason why the devs dont deem it severe enough despite there being a perk to assure each charge based item and ace in the hole to assure decent add ons. obviously this is harder to do on a champ of light build hence why instant blind flashlights arent brought up as much as the toolboxes

There is no doubt this is a massive problem and I do find it strange that they decided to change Streetwise in the first place. It was already a reasonably decent perk IMO.
I certainly will not be using it in public matches just incase but I cannot wait to use the bug in customs to ruin my friends 😊

I highly recommend the build Human Greed, Hoarder, Franklin's and Weave Attunement to counter the new meta that has no problems whatsoever and BHVR are fine existing!
Those perfectly legitimate Streetwise users are a threat, so be sure to look for Hoarder notification spam and rightfully tunnel them out of the game as quickly as possible.
After all, the decision to not killswitch this couldn't possibly have any repercussions. It's just a new survivor meta to adapt to!
Be sure to play a nice mobile killer too, it's been working well on Singularity since you can just defend the item on the ground with a pod.

Or use Hag. Let's all get Hag's playrate up together :)

Game afoot, noed, rancor, hoarder on Wraith. Let's ya see who's doing it and instantly punish it once they rush through the gens.

BHVR Proving they have no regard for the games wellbeing, exhibit whatever letter it is now.
It sucks that the update in this condition was even greenlit, ignoring the fact that the content is lazy (Especially the "map") the buggy state of the game since the update and the overall performance issues even on high end computers has completely ruined the experience for both killers and survivors, not to mention the god awful streetwise exploit

Because the Devs don't care enough

BHVR simply prove that money is the only think they care, community feedback is only valuable if they can make money from it. Imagine if everyone agree to give 0,01$ for killswitch and they would do it instantly. Pathetic behavior from BHVR

Game is so damn broken right now and the player count doesn't go lower.
This means two things about who's playing:
-People indeed addicted to this game.
-Pieces of trash that want to exploit the bug as much as possible.
Sure, we also have normal people also playing the game now, but still…0 -
If it isn't breaking the game are you saying that players are free to use this perk and the exploit that comes with it because if its not breaking the game then clearly its not bannable to abuse it as it isn't doing anything bad to the game right?

i don't even have access to Streetwise... but I am indeed addicted to this game
0 -
Everyone has access to it... its on a free character.

I don't have them Prestiged dude

it IS important, what other bugs do they need to fix that are so much more vital than this exploit that they CANNOT take a few minutes (or however long it takes) to killswitch this broken perk until they fix it l
-1 -
You still have access to the character. A person playing the game for the very first match can hop on Nea and equip streetwise. Not prestiging nea just means you dont have it on other characters too.

if bugged stuff isn’t being disabled are we just back to old dead by daylight before the killswitch function existed if something was bugged you just had to wait until it was patched lol

They're trolling, report and move on.

are the more important bugs in the room with us? no one seems to want to source the more important bugs. what pray tell are these game destroying allusive bugs that BHVR is pouring their blood sweat and tears into so passionately that they can let this exploit go for over a week? does literally anyone have an answer?
1 -
Huh... apparently it really WAS that easy to just killswitch the broken perks. Whodathunkit?

hitting the sickos yes in my apartment right now

I Know that... but I dont want to play a level one character

i guess it meets criteria now.
1 -
I think this mightve skewed the criteria a Lil bit

while i am happy, theyre not beating the "we killswitch based on amount of complaints" allegations with this one ill give them that
0 -
good but I wanted try it out.😪😂🤣

This is both right and wrong.
The official "criteria" is likely still not met, however the community has spoken loud enough.
Just like some other decisions in the past were made because basically the whole playerbase rallied.
It's not the "downvotes" that made the decision, it's the number of complaints and likely increase of bug abuse that people did out of spite/protest. Just like I said in my earlier post (that for some reason has half as much dislikes than likes, shows how some people stopped reading after the first sentence) with enough outcry and impact almost anything can be done.
Side-note: after some of the borderline scary stuff I've read/heard from angry people about this in various places, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a decrease in forum interactions with some of the staff in the future.

Well, congragulations - you bullied
Yeah, if enough children pout and stomp their feet someone needs to pass out pacifiers I guess. Whodathunkit.
I already said in an earlier post they probably had a fix incoming (maybe just waiting on platform validation or something) but the screeching banshees of the forum can't tolerate any of that. They need to cram themselves in their favorite echo chamber with their favorite content creators.

its so funny because we were in this thread before the videos on this topic were made (except scotts initial one which barely existed hours before). and again, we know the bug will be fixed, its the fact that it was being allowed to function in the game without any possible counter, way to prevent facing it, or way to punish users doing it for an advantage. getting it killswitched wasnt just "me no like mandee ryan pls remuv 4evers" it was "if this is not killswitched and its not bannable that means the community is allowed to exploit something on one side if its functioning unfairly and its setting an example that things of this severity are not to be killswitched/are only to be killswitched based on poorly defined criteria we dont know."
if the devs didnt have a publically marketed tool to disable bugged mechanics in the game, itd be one thing. but when theyve had the killswitch for years i promise you the right answer here was NOT ignoring the bug with no punishment to the exploiters until its silently patched and never acknowledged again. all that would so is make things worse down the line if something else is bugged and suddenly people are going "well they didnt killswitch streetwise, whats the big deal!" it deserved this, because this is the type of thing the killswitch is for, per its own mission statement.
