I'm actually getting fed up with SWF as a survivor.
I've been playing for a few hours on my day off and it's genuinely made me want to uninstall the game from these people. First and foremost of the eight groups, who have admitted to it, that are running SWF.
Of those eight admitted groups.
I hated every single ######### one.
Three of them let me run the killer for four gens then popped the last one. LET ME GET DOWNED. WALKED TO ME ON THE HOOK without a camping killer and T-bagged then left me to die.
One of them did nothing but feed a Myers teir 3 by standing and nodding infront of him then let him hook them all ######### me over.
Two of them kept ######### intentionally sandbagging me then tbagging as I got ######### carted off.
One group literally just ran around the map ignoring gens then were toxic at end game.
The last one was just abusive in end game chat to me and the killer.
Call me salty call me whatever you want. Can I just ######### get an Opt out of being partied with SWF?
For reference I played about 30 matches today. And 8 out of 30 isn't a small number.

I've only done SWF 3 times the first 2 with my friend and I. The 3rd one I joined a group of 3 and oh my god did those matches go fast. We won like 7 in a row within a hour. We won the 1st game in like 2 min. i was super surprised. Rank 11's

swf have the power to be extremely toxic and it’s very annoying.
It’s a toss up with swf for me when I play solo. Usually they either are just jerks and only care about themselves or they do try to help to make sure everyone survives.

SWF is a contentious issue. People want to play with their friends, but at the same time the game really isn't meant to be a game played with friends. Also their is no concrete way to know when you are with or against a SWF and you have to divine whether or not you are and how many. Honestly, I think that the game being the way it is shouldn't have the kind of secrecy it does with survivor with friends. Players should know what they are up against in that regard on both sides. Survivors should be able to see that whose partied together so they can decide if they want to take the risk of being around SWF groups.
Killers, should also know when they are going against a swf group or at the very least just give SWF their own queue that people can opt into player as killer or survivor. That way you know, you're dealing with primarily SWF groups and can act accordingly.

If you had that issues with 8 groups or something, I'm going to be the first to say you were probably being useless. Maybe just only being stealthy and not helping with gens, maybe you accidentally lured the killers to them or purposely for all we know.
Then again, I have had my times of being used as SWF bait where I would do chases for like 2-4 gens and then get at least 1.5 gens done and thy would just farm me off the hook and leave me to die and be tunneled. But it's never been so many times in a row or within a few hours. All I gotta say is, make sure you're being useful to the team and not bringing the killer to people. Because if someone is being overly immersive, hatch camping waiting for people to die, not touching gens to make sure they stay hidden, just being very selfish and useless at the same time and I notice it with my bond or hook. As soon as I can, I will go out of my way to either make them get on a gen, or bring the killer in our direction by messing with the lockers and windows. Even if I'm not swf.

Welcome to the club. I've always played solo-only survivor and, more often than not, SWF end up being more dangerous than the killer in most situations. Oh, on the occasion you'll find some that are helpful, but they're so far and few between that they get lost behind 15-20 other matches where they're an outright nuisance and detriment to your survival. I can see the appeal to folks wanting to play with their friends and jabber on and open up several important perk slots they won't need due to the information dump that comes with it, but I personally think it sucks for everybody (killers and survivors) not in the group at the moment.
But, to be fair, I've been getting more and more tater salad solo teammates as of late... so it's just sucking all 'round. LoL

An "opt out" option sounds intriguing, and is something I'd -- at first glance -- like to get in on... if SWF wasn't so prevalent.
What sucks about giving those outside of SWF an option to not interact with them is our queue times would suck major donkey tidbits. I forget the actual numbers, but it's been shown that a vast majority of games have at least 2, 3, and even 4 SWF members. So long as they're around, so long as they're plentiful, so long as they offer a boosted experience for weaker players, and so long as they are offered up with no detriments, we'll have to be a part of their world... as crappy as that often is to solo survivors and killers alike.

Honestly, I have seen the issue here and there and saying the killer should be able to opt out. As a killer, I don't usually mind. I just kill the weak link and play the game.
As a solo only survivor, I have more oft than not had a bad time with it. I'd rather just be able to join a bunch of solo's like myself and not play with them.
The most frequent thing complaint I've seen of it is "BUT LONGER Q times!" "BUT IT WILL KILL THE GAME IF I CAN'T BE TOXIC."
I'd wager with both the new matching system and the number of solo players. The game would be just fine if they split the survivors.

Looping a killer why they pop four gens is useless?
Them starting the game off with the intent of finding and feeding the myers is my fault?
Starting the game and just looping the map for chase points as a group of 3 is my fault?
I'm going to assume in good faith maybe you just only read the title or something.
No, I don't go full immersion or just am useless, In a game where I'm not running the killer I average about either 2 solo gens or 3-4 group gens.
The only games I don't get a pip or near double pip, are flat out my fault.
I pipped in all eight of those games.

@HexMoriMeMommy Notice how you didn't say any of that in your first post, so I was just giving a suggestion Hex. Because I can't think of any reason why people would do that to you over and over and over again for hours unless you were just being useless. Also notice in my first post I made it clear that I was just assuming based on my experience and the chunk of info you gave to the first post. If youre actually playing well then all I can say is that, it's amazing you had so many douchebag teammates over and over again, that really sucks.

Forgive me, I'm used to on steam forums everyone just being bellends.
Honestly I played roughly 50 matches yesterday as I kept playing after the post, I had two who were neutral.
I just think the dbd playerbase finds being toxic fun.

Honestly, I'd be fine with longer wait times, I'm already used to waiting 20-40 min for killer, thank ######### they fixed that, but I honestly think that with the number of people I say wou

The solution is to play WITH a swf.
as a solo player you are screwed, killers too op for that

If they included this sort of feature, people would abuse the crap out of it. While you're one person and it may not affect SWF games if you opt out, I'm sure many would. I would. Not all SWF are toxic, though, and it's a good idea to look at the names and pay attention to before game chat. A lot of times you'll get a hint if they're toxic from both.
It's part of playing solo, though. You don't know if your team will be good or bad. You don't know if they'll be toxic. You can guess (unless you've played with them before), but that's it.

Honestly, I'd be fine with longer wait times, I'm already used to waiting 20-40 min for killer, thank ######### they fixed that, but I honestly think that with the number of people I say would rather solo I don't think they'd be that bad. Plus might actually tell the SWF people don't ######### like them.
