Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

The lack of killer variety makes me not want to play Survivor anymore

Title. I'm sick and tired of the same killers on repeat. When do we actually get proper reworks/buffs for weak M1 or M2 killers? I can't stand seeing a The Ghoul or The Blight any longer.

I miss the time I get to face Ghostface, Nemesis, Michael Myers, Trapper, Chucky, Doctor, Bubba, Deathslinger, and Onryo.

GOD I miss BUBBA!!!

Since they pulled Hellraiser license from their game, I will never see a Pinhead again. Oh, wait a second, I never did since the devs nerfed him.

I don't see Ghoul that often in my matches anymore and I didn't see Blight in my matches in almost a month somehow. Last 10 matches were Dredge x2, PHead, Bubba (yes, he had noed, if you wonder), Nurse, Wraith, Dracula, Pig, Huntress and Billy. I see a pretty good variety in my games recently, since so many killers were buffed to finally playable state. I also barely play my mains on killers now, because I love to try something new and fun, even if it's not that strong.
Myers and Trapper rework/buffs were announced, so it should be even better.

They'll never do it, but they should add a block button - not like a "refuse any Killer I hate" button, but rather a "choose not to face these three Killers for, like, a week or month or whatever" button.

It'd allow Survivors to face more than just meta Killers, and would tell BHVR who needs to be nerfed based on how often people refuse to face them.

They're playing them because those Killers are broken and are free wins. I've seen plenty of other Killers who perform just fine but don't have high mobility.

Then you are at low mmr or just get weaker match ups.

When I play surv and I get a soloq lobby with competent teammates most killers who are not nurse, blight or ghoul just DC after the first 3 gens are done with no pressure.

My MMR is average, so I'm facing average players… at least until I escape a few times in a row. But I'm usually in the middle. Just because people are higher MMRs, who always play meta crap, only play a few Killers doesn't mean it's because every other Killer is bad or that Survivors are good - it's because those Killers are still meta because of how broken they are.

”free wins?” We haven’t seen stats for Ghoul yet, but last stats release BHVR provided did have Blight included. Outside of high MMR, Blight wasn’t in the top 5 (killers with kill rates at 65% or higher). So for “average” players, we know Blight is at or below 65% kill rate. “Free wins” should mean 75% kill rate or higher, right?

I actually enjoy going against Blight more than a good portion of the other killers and have escaped against him plenty of times. I guess all those Blight players didn’t get the memo that they should be able to get “free wins” with him.

and clown ? didn't need to touch him at all but now we have to wait 2026 before they fix this abomination, annoying really… if you nerf fog vials in 1 week you need to fix ghoul and clown quicker

Can you show your survivor stats? Curious to see if you really play surv

Wish I saw my favorites more often, tbh.

Earlier today I was really happy to play against a Skull Merchant, but unfortunately I eventually got tunneled out.

And it was sad because I didn't want to leave that game, I wanted to stay there with one of my favorite killers.

The exact same thing happened with Freddy years ago, before his changes. I get a killer I love, and they tunnel me :(

Gonna be doing a thing for my stream next week:

Enthusiastic Killer Main Plays only the LEAST picked killers!

Here's hoping I'll have you in one of my matches that week… depends on how many killers are playing vs survivors, and your region of course. If I miss you, hopefully my stream gets enough attention that others take on the challenge… not likely, but I can dream.

Will there be a bit of Skull Merchant gameplay, old friend?

The lowest picked 5 are Twins, Hag, Skull Merchant, Artist, Cenobite, and Demogorgon is 6th (which i still think is a misspelling since Demi = Half, and Gorgon = Monster, so Demigorgon = "half monster" works better, whereas Demo = abbreviation for Demonstration, And thus, with it's official spelling saying I'm playing the "Demonstration Monster", rather than the more aptly named man-like "Half monster" I'm a bit perturbed but… whatever). so yeah, Skull Merchant is on the list!

Right after that is Plague in 7th place, and she's my go-to girl, so if I have time I'll fill her in (no sexual context intended).

If you wanna Watch, my handle is TWiXT_Pr1me on Kick. I stream late between 8pm-2 am Eastern time, and 5pm-11pm Pacific time. I'll be doing one of each killer each day next week, so look forward to Wednesday for your favorite girl.

I played a bit of pig, but even with the buffs i couldn't keep up. I play ghoul because i enjoy playing her and because she can keep up with the current speed of the game. I still have matches i lose if survivors know what they are doing, but i don't feel helpless while playing her.

They need to rework the whole game to make this game enjoyable for the slower M1 killers.

I saw a bubba few days ago. He only got few hooks against us, but he was a great sport. I still personally don't enjoy matches where 1 side gets completely destroyed so i felt bad. ( was garden of pain map )

Hot take but Trapper being a B tier killer isn't something we should want.

I think the servers I play in are located in West Europe.

Decisive strike, Off the record, Reassurance, Shoulder the burden, Dead hard and Base kit borrowed time. The 40sec timer allows you to slam gens when someone is on hook. There is counter play.

"Oh no… don't go… what would we do without toxic tryhards playing broken killers?"

Its toxic for people to play a killer they like? No its toxic to expect the other side to play by your imaginary rule set.

That is good to know, friend! I'll definitely try my best to be there and see your SM gameplay, but if I can't make it I will still watch the VOD, should you choose to leave it available!

M1 killers just can't keep up anymore that's why only mobility killers like Blight and Ghoul or killers that just ignore Survivor mechanics like Nurse reign supreme

I sympathize with all M1 killers who come across the same sweat guys as I did on the M2 killer

I’ve played a few matches lately where the killer tunneled because they weren’t very good and guess how many kills they got? Just the one person they tunneled, everyone else got out because we did gens while the killer was focused on the one person.

If you can show me some evidence that you can literally win (3-4K) every single match you play just by using a tunneling strategy, I will happily admit that I was wrong. I must be doing something wrong when I play killer because that sure has never worked for me.

Low key would love a ban list for kills. I would gladly accept one for perks on both sides as well. But we are getting into comp discussion which this is a casual party game so. Just bring chalk offering so you can struggle on hook a few times to get out of there

yea i played on eu with friends before

cheaters and sweatest are sadly rampant there

such a shame u can find some fun survivors there too, yet killers always seem to be locked the hell in for no reason

Problem I have with him is he is just palett eating simulator and its very hard near impossible to try get some mind game value with chainsaw without at least beast mark which makes him faster and difference is huge like being able to get that 1 meter of distance that mean getting pallet normaly but with beastmark it gives you that sweat down. Another huge factor is many survivors know that windows force him to be m1 just tl wall and some mind games with chainsaw are even harder than on loops and without beastmarks forget about them if you play against survivor who can loop and knows some positioning.

    Abbzy Member Posts: 2,250

Nothing unusual just normal evening surviors loadouts plus the fact that there are few teams where isnt at least one duo playing togeather which makes this mess even more harder with weaker killer so no surprise few players play them you can already sweat your cheeks with solid killers like wesker against this.

  • Abbzy
    Abbzy Member Posts: 2,250

And why fo you think its bad idea?

For me future of this game is where there wont be such huge gab in killer power thats why survivors wont get any solid antitunnel etc. because if they get something like basekit ds it will just nerf weaker killers and even kill some weakest killers like trapper on higher mmr.

It’s because a lot of the killers have issues with them whether it’s a design flaw, addons, or bug related or all the above, so people stick to what they will have a better chance with.

which is why we really need to focus on the content that we have instead of all this new content constantly.

Considering its the only thing a lot of people complain about would suggest it happens often.

"If survivors had a perk called screw you and it automatically finished all five gens the second you loaded into the game with no downsides would it be toxic to bring it? After all they are just playing a perk they like."

First one is a perk that gives a free win against a power that gives you speed there is quite a difference, sorry if your not good enough to realise this.

My rotation isn't so bad, it's the static nature of the trials I hate. It's extremely rare that a Killer doesn't camp hook, tunnel, and go on a slugging spree. The Surrender feature is getting a lot of mileage in my trials. Sometimes it happens early, sometimes it happens late, but usually it happens at some point and usually heavily tilts the trial in their favor. I will say I'm encountering more friendly Killers (maybe 1 in every 8 or 10 trials), but being given an escape doesn't exactly grant a great deal of autonomy.

MMR isn't a major factor in deciding who gets paired in matches. The queue usually looks for players who have low pings and are in close proximity to the server you are queuing for. I think MMR is dead last in the deciding process.

I get randoms every match. Some good, some terrible. Never consistent, except the types of killers. Most of the time it's the Ghoul, Executioner, or the Clown right now. Usually whoever is popular to play as. But skill/MMR doesn't seem to ever be a factor for me.

The solution to the monotony of facing the same killers is also one of the first things BHVR needs to do if they want to balance (relatively) the game: Nerf the S and high A-tier killers and buff the C and D-tier killers.

Not only is facing the same killers boring AF, having such disparate killer power levels make it impossible to make sweeping balance changes. The other issue is of course map balance.
