Kaneki putting survivors into mending state which is a problem when he’s tunneling.
His power merges too much with forcing survivors to be put into mending state and it counters DH OTR and BT. This is uncounterable because usually kaneki mains tunnel so much and there’s nothing you can do to have endurance to protect yourself because of his power

if the killer wants to mega tunnel they will, kaneki or not, its just some might take a bit longer

it is about Kaneki though. If legion could travel from the opposite end of the map back to any hook before the scratch marks fade, he'd need a nerf too. But he can't so legion is fine (boring as ######### to face). Kaneki is broken af if he plays to win and tunnels survivors out.

Yeah I don't know why people compare Kaneki to legion. I can only assume because some content creator made that claim to make an extremely generalized comparison because his ability deep wounds, and the people who want to downplay Kaneki's strength take that and run with it. Anyone who takes a microsecond's worth of time to evaluate the two killers would reach the same conclusion you did: that Kaneki is completely different and way more oppressive than current legion.

Both inflict Deep Wound I guess and both cannot down in their power. That being said, comparing him to Legion is pretty wrong, since Ghoul is a few Tiers above Legion.

Yeah, this is something I dont understand either. Why did they have to slap Deep Wound on him on top of everything else? Sure, it helped a bit against Ghoul when he was released, because you could run MFT. Not that it made him any less oppressive, but it is not really needed that he also inflicts Deep Wound.

I think the most important reason is bc they wanted a simple method for the enrage-timer. And its also kinda thematic.

Is it really a problem? Its far more problematic if he propels himself to the next loop near the hook and zones the survivor. BT runs out, DH is worthless in the open, OtR would still save you.
If i have bt i want the kaneki to hit me with his power. The purpose of bt is too reach the next loop.
Now DH and OtT are different, but both are useless if any killer hits you through bt anyway. So also a tunneling Blight.
OtR purpose is too make you pseudo-healthy. And its works against Kaneki, he needs to hit you twice. The problem with him is more that he is a high mobility killer with a free injure.
For DH its always nice to pair with DS, but lets look at it. If you have only DH left and get hit with his power, its the same like if you hit a dh. So DH works, the problem is still that he has high mobility to catch up and the hit is free, not that it applies deep wounds.

Legion can't cross the entire map within 5 seconds of you being unhooked though. That's the key difference.

some might walk to tunnel, others snipe you, others run at you, and others just proxy camp lol

Kaneki's mend application is different to legions. Being put into mend will prevent the use of dh, but OTR if active will stay active and provide endurance, even when needing to mend. Technically when Kaneki bites you and you're already injured, your not getting hit by a special or basic attack, only applying the mend and mark. Though since you are in the deep wound state, you cannot apply a new instance of endurance from lets say a styptic or dh.

One has a hitscan RANGED injure and the other can just vault pallets and windows quicker. OH wait the ghoul can do all that😂 Legion and the ghoul are not at all comparable.

so let me get this straight…a killer that can vault more than once without the power going on cooldown and can even shred pallets with a addon, is somehow less effective at tunneling than the killer that stands still for about 3 seconds, and has his power go on cooldown if he vaults….?
all because he has a hitscan ranged attack…?
like forget the speed for second, if a kaneki and a legion both proxy camp the hook, who do u think will do better at tunneling, kaneki or legion?

Probably the one who literally can't miss the attack that puts you into deep wounds and can cross the map in a few seconds. Ghoul is problematic period. Not just because of the tunneling capability.
