The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Affect the Future
The state of Dead By Daylight at the moment is pretty poor but most of all, how The Walking Dead licence has been disrespected. A character that wasn't even available in the PTB, voicelines with completely different VAs doing the grunts etc, a tile that counts as a map, perks that are either dreadful or bugged to be OP, and now a livestream disaster wasting the time of a celebrity endorsement.
With all this I'm really wondering if it'll scare away other licence holders as they will want their properties treated with a certain level of care and stability.
I really hope Behaviour can come up with some magic damage control.

I know I'm reconsidering wanting my favorite licenses in the game, if this is how they'll be handled.

Oh Lord this whole update was a flop. Problem after problem after problem.

The sad thing is, even before this Walking Dead chapter - The FNAF chapter wasn't integrated properly what with bugs such as invisible Springtrap and door cams messing up audio.
It does make you question if they care about their product and service or are just trying to milk us as much as possible until we inevitably leave

It honestly just feels like they have way too many things on their plate. Can't stop making skins cause they have the highest cost/profit ratio. Can't stop making chapters cause they bring new players. Can't stop making Modes cause they're extremely popular.
Whenever a bug pops into one of these new chapters or years old cosmetics because there's so much of it being made it's impossible to run every variable through QA, it takes weeks to fix because of how consoles patches work.
The best way to handle this is more active use of the Killswitch on misbehaving features and delaying patches that break large parts of the game so they can be fixed, but even those are bandaids to the wider issue that is the fact this product is the video game equivalent of building another floor on top of the leaning tower of Pisa every three months.

The game is not in a good state, but need to acknowledge that the devs can't push back release windows on licensed content. When signing the paperwork a date, or release window needs to be given. Missing that would lead to legal issues.
Now that being said, we've had a LOT of licensed content over the last two years. Most of the Survivors and Killers have been licensed. In retrospect, Doomed Course should have been pushed back. If at all possible, the September chapter should be cut and a code refactor should be done. This game is running on code from 2017, and needs a clean parse.
I understand the devs can only do so much at once, but the game has not been in this bad of a state since Binding of Kin. With Michonne's voice lines, I can hear the audio engineer giving notes. That's not an analogy, I can here the man speaking in the audio file. Refusing to throw the Kill Switch on Streetwise, the DDOS attack on the stream, outright refusing Otz's advice on how to solve the problem…like come on, that's not even a code thing, that's just bad decision making.
I'm being thrown back to Korea 2017 here. "Flash light insta-blinds aren't that big of a deal…" 5 Gens, 2 successful hits, and 8 instant blinds would lead to a patch a month later removing faster blinds from flashlights. Hearing "the devs need to update their game" in order to fill the spectator slots is maddening. I always thought "the devs don't even play the game" was a hyperbolic statement by butthurt whiny fans, but no, it's true. Obviously I don't expect the devs to spend the better part of a day playing the game instead of working. But like…2 hours a week wouldn't hurt.
Yes, a lot of complaints about the game are "Buff my favorite character/perk!" "Nerf this killer that I hate!" "Add more cosmetics to a licensed killer!" "Add this license to the game!" But when you disregard all player input as "whines from low skill players" you're actively ignoring your audience.

With all this I'm really wondering if it'll scare away other licence holders as they will want their properties treated with a certain level of care and stability.Probably not. Licenses are still great for A) making money and B) bringing attention to the main product. Player count is the number that people will look to and being BHVR doesn't seem to seek 'exclusive' licenses, companies have very little to lose.
Even if deserved, I have a hard time seeing bugs / balance issues being anything but a minor factor. There's no blowback on TWD because of how bad the chapter is, the blowback is, deservedly, on BHVR. The things the license holders care about, appearance and/or lore don't get complaints (the audio issues is the closest). I'm just imagining trying to even explain what a buggy perk is to a PR rep for a company and just getting a glazed look in response.

Tbh I wish some licence holders world end their deals with BHVR after all that what happened the last months. It’s not only embarrassing for BHVR that they let the game come to a state like it is atm but it’s also embarrassing for iconic characters/licences to be in a game like that.
That and if the community would stop giving them money are the only things BHVR would finally start to really care about their own game and fixing it. They need to build the game completely new from the ground to get free from their 2016 spaghetti code and own limitations. No DBD2, just modern and structured coding.A game health update is needed so bad, they have to stop bringing any new content for 6+ months but they won’t because wrong focus and new skins every week are more worthy for their greed of money.
