Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

We are on the same page.
TWD was the last thing I've bought, but wouldn't have if I knew how bad the game was.
I had 2100 and something Auric before buying the DLC. This will be used to keep getting the premium rift + a possible blighted skin for Vecna.
I have a friend in the same situation, but he's saving his Auric for Blighted Dracula.
I mean, we already have the Auric and can't get a refund anyway…

TL; DR: me and him are not giving BHVR more money until we see a REAL change.
NOTE: we are probably getting banned for our comments man.

They operate in a different realm than we do. They do care a lot about the game because it's likely their primary source of income and the company relies on it. But they don't care to be told what to do. That's the hubris I was talking about. When we give suggestions on how to improve the game, I think it registers as "where you do you get off telling us what to do". I could be wrong of course, but that's how it's felt.

I have said it for years, but I get my post deleted or straight up banned from places like steam forums for speaking the truth because BHVR do not want its player base to stop giving them money from learning the truth. This company is just incompetent at every level top down, from Cote all the way to the community managers that do not know how to handle dissatisfied customers. The left hand does not know what the right is doing, gaslight its players, straight lie at times ("no ddos attacks" twitter post) and they think they know better about their own game that they DONT EVEN PLAY.

I wont be surprised if this post gets deleted or im banned because they get their feelings hurt since I used the word "incompetent".

I can see that, absolutely. There is a strong sense of pride in themselves, and this does end up with them making ridiculous calls in spite of the obvious. It is very frustrating that they can be so touchy, rather than listen, save face and then use the information to improve things.

It does make a mockery of their health focus this year.

It does. Years and years of treating their audience like their enemies (the raging on stream, backhanded comments, etc.) doesn't go away overnight. Especially when it feels like it's still there or when the behavior (hehe) doesn't improve too far beyond lip service. It doesn't help either that the areas where they genuinely are doing better are areas that should be the bare minimum, in my opinion.

At this point, there's nothing we can realistically do about it, primarily because of how high the player turnover rate is and the success of big licenses. And despite how every other property of theirs has gone down, they don't seem all that invested in improving their design philosophy or approach. So all we can really do is coexist and see what happens next.

That's the exact reason I wanted to see FNAF get in. I wish more of the licensed DLC parents were as involved as Scott was. I'd be the same way. You either do exactly what I want with my license or you don't get the license. Simple as that.
