Locker Icon on Survivor HUD...
…because I want to know who is ratting in a locker and not doing anything. Guess it could also be handy for Head On plays or something like that, but mostly the first reason…

That would just lead to toxicity. Head On should show the aura of the locker you're in when it's ready anyway.

There are far more toxic things to experience in this game, this would be extremely minor in comparison. Though excuse me for suggesting something that could actually be useful to gauge what is happening in a match.

Why? Literally how would you react to this information?

Aside from a bit of fun… if you know Sally is hiding in lockers and someone is on hook, clearly they may have no intention to get the person. Like it's additional information to plan your next move if you need to.

Absolutely not. I hate useless cowards but people would misjudge the hell out of this. I use locker-based perks and also go into them to avoid BBQ. Even using them tactically I already have to be so cautious of my team's judgmental eyes. This game doesn't need any mire extra, misguided sandbagging.

It should basekit, but teammates should also be notified if they're in a locker or not through the HUD.

I couldn't see this ending up with BMing. Survivors may be hiding in lockers to not get involved, but there are other reasons such as some perk requirements, hiding whilst a Killer is nearby and setting up Head-on. Having a HUD to show a locker doesn't tell you which, so it would be practically useless.
It just means that in end game chat someone can b**** and moan about somebody being in a locker and exaggerate how long they were there for.

That would be really nice for solo queue.

No chance. People would just use any instance of seeing someone in a locker to blame them for the whole match, sandbag, or BM. Some people just hide, but there are a number of valid reasons to be in a locker, and we don't need people making their own judgements based off a HUD icon.

This, along with a limited basekit Kindred and the camping bar on the HUD would be more than adequate. You'd never question what your team is doing anymore and you'd avoid a lot of the negative fallout that something like a vigilante system like OP is talking about would easily encourage.

built to lasters already face toxicity because ppl get upset immediately at the locker hop and feel the need to rat them out or repeatedly open the locker.

I use head on and built to last and face douche bag survivors thinking I'm hiding. Let's not bother adding to that.

Inner strength users also cooked.

It's crazy I spend more time looking for a safe locker with no teammates around than I do refilling the item, yet I still have people catch me and emote, point, and try to open the door. I once had a killer (whose perks I clearly misguessed) come over and shake their head at me until I came out, then they nodded and walked away. It was so shameful I would have rather them just hooked me. And having no end game chat, I can't even defend my actions.

I understand what you mean in theory but I think in practice this could be really detrimental. As others have stated there are plenty of perks that involve going into a locker to activate and there would definitely be people who use it as an opportunity/excuse to try and "rat" you out. There are even situations when you get into a locker to deny a killer perk like BBQ or maybe even one where you and you only know it's in play (like Rancor). Not everyone will assume the worst but people bringing the killer to someone else intentionally has happened enough to get it's own term (sandbagging) so the history of the game goes against the idea of people not using that information against someone else.

The real issue here is the damn AFK Crows that went from working too well to being trash.
Now a surv can keep walking without doing nothing for EIGHT MINUTES before any crow appears.-3 -
Seeing who is in a Locker, crouching, running, or idling with crows would be nice info on the HUD. I doubt we will ever see it. The one thing that would be GREAT to see on the HUD is wiggle progress. It would make taking hits much better for randoms. I always feel bad when someone takes a hit, especially if they get downed. Meanwhile, my meter is 60%, or they have Iron Grasp, etc.

Just make Head On highlight your locker in Yellow for other survivors to see while active.
Otherwise, just as you said, it will only be used to get mad at folks for being rats. Funnily enough you can tell when they're being rats when they are not doing an objective for a few seconds!
