Cannot Join or Invite friend to party

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: I have a friend on PS5. He does not receive invites that I send. Until recently this hasn't been a problem since I could always join him, but with the recent change to require accepting invites, he still cannot receive mine, and I cannot accept his.

PLATFORM: Steam

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: 1: Invite friend. 2. He gets no invite. 3 Friend invites me. 4. I accept invite. 5 Nothing happens

    This is also happening for me with only 1 of my friends. We are both on Steam

    This happened to me and my friend as well, we are both on Steam. I believe it happened as a part of the update where the invite/accept requirement came. I play with like 4 Steam friends, this only doesn't work with 1 of them - the friend that I have had the longest. Very frustrating as I cannot play duo games with him at all. Invite/accept doesn't work in normal games, survivor 2v8 or killer 2v8, we tried it all. If I log into another account it works.

    hey guys! to everone having this problem, check that you dont have your friend blocked, or that they dont have one another blocked!

    you would NEVER think to check that. we had three people in the discord that had this problem, and every single one of them found that the issue was that the game had decided one of us had blocked the other.

    Same problem, i'm under epic, my friend under steam, i accept the invite, bue nothing happend, and the same problem appear in the other way steam ⇒ epic or epic ⇒ steam. Before we had no problem, it happened since we have to accept the invite even when someone try to come in the opened lobby
