why is it that every time the survivors get new perks or items they get nerfed almost immediately like the healing circle perk we used to be able to heal ourselves and now it’s just a waste of a perk and also the new smoke bombs now they got nerfed and we can only use two after that it’s done. How about the game developers actually make things even and not just killer sided. The killers have an infinite amount of weapons they can pull and use and abilities that are unlimited just think about it the game is just slowly dying due to the ridiculous amount of nerfs they do to the survivors which is why the developers implemented bots to join these killers constantly get things and never get an actual nerf instead they buff them eventually it’s gonna be a single player game with only bots and I’m saying this as a killer main player but I see how bad the developers just don’t make anything good for the survival side of it.

healing circle took
4 MONTHS TO NERFover a year to nerf not to mention it was broken beyond balance, i don't wanna even see anyone telling me it was balanced or even close to balanced on releaseit literally reached the point where all killers quit whatchu on about??
"killer sided" the game hasn't been killer sided since springtrap, gens fly, healing is in the moon, killers are struggling hence why there is a lot of tunneling
yes i agree fog viles got overnerfed but that doesn't make the game "killer sided"
ridiculous amount of nerfs they do to survivors….?
they didn't they just buff bontey knowledge? and vigil is still broken….sure…"NERFS"
oh and they removed the only counter to strong medkits and toolboxes franklin's look at all of these survivor nerfs
do u even play killer or this game in general?
the only buff killers got was clown and literally even clown mains were against it
nothing about the current game or these formus is killer sided lmao

Circle of Healing was released on October 19, 2021.
The self-heal was removed on April 18, 2023.
It was literally a YEAR AND A HALF before the self-heal was removed from Circle of Healing.

As others have said, Circle of Healing took a very long time to get nerfed. Almost everyone agrees that fog vials were over-nerfed, even “killer mains”. Stop making this an “us vs them” thing.

Also, please show evidence that the game is “dying”.

Thats what im saying. The game has obviously been survivor sided since its release. Thats never gonna change if Solo Queue doesn't get a VC and then survivor is nerfed to compensate. Then the devs will just keep balancing the game under all 3 ways to play forever, never coming close to making a fair game.
-8 -
Your delusional if you think killer is better than survivor
-7 -
Correction, it took over a year and a half for it to lose the self healing ability. A year and a half for entire survivor teams to get free selfcare. And thats not OP? This is literally a troll discussion
-5 -
oh that's even worst i think i just numbed that whole meta from my brain tbh, clearly its not op enough, just a giant location where survivors could self heal at 100% nothing silly

Hmm, for how long has Vigil allowed Head On to be chained infinitely? And not a single comment from the devs about fixing it despite creating lose-lose situations. Hell, we are currently in a instant healing meta that should have been nerfed inmediatly. Not to mention how many perks with unreasonable numbers are being overlooked, but will actually become a problem as soon as a crazy combo is found.

if you get a stacked team of 4 good, competent players. then yeah i think survivors have a good edge on most killers. not all killers. but most.
the reality is most games don't have 4 good survivors and that the game is really more balanced typically around 3 good survivors on a team and 1 not so good survivor on the team. i think this makes for a competitive match most games.
but this also means most games will have 2 good survivors on team at best (and let's be fair, there's a lot more bad survivors than good survivors of course) and these games any decent killer will stomp.
it's why when i play killer i typically have 3 good games for every 1 bad game. and i'm not even a great killer. i don't often even run meta perks. i rarely even play S or A tier killers. and it's still, 3 good games for every 1 bad game.
so while i'll agree that you're technically right. in terms of the vast majority of games being played i think you're wrong. and very wrong at that.

The game has been "killer-sided" since day one. Before the introduction of dedicated servers, everything was handled on The Killer's end, and Survivors endured years of a permanent killer advantage in every Trial. Now with dedicated servers, Survivors continue to endure a killer advantage in every match where The Killer's ping is <350 ms. If The Killer's ping is over 350 ms, the server will "validate" certain hits and interactions, but The Mastermind is one of the exceptions; his power isn't validated, so a laggy Wesker is almost always gg. This system is known as Favor The Killer, and it does precisely that.
Note, the 350 ms threshold has been tested by players as the threshold where the server begins to validate hits, but the precise figure is unknown and could change at any time. Bhvr hasn't disclosed it.

I understand that people didn't like playing against Circle Of Healing, which is fair. We've had things just as bad or worse on the opposite side of the fence as well though. Let's not pretend the gen kick meta from 6.1.0 wasn't miserable either, or the camping meta that lasted the better part of a year and ended with SM.
As for the broader topic at hand, it's indisputable that the game favors Killer. All of the hard data is skewed in Killer's favor, whether it's the kill rates, hit validation, scoring events (though that's recently been addressed a bit), etc. Even the system devoted to punishing Survivors for giving up can be triggered by the Killer. The only time a Killer is truly at a total disadvantage is when they're paired with players that are beyond their skill level and that's always treated as something wildly unfair. So Survivor does have to take the hit for that most of the time, dealing with Killers that have bloated kits with very limited means to handing Killer's unbridled catchup mechanics.
Now I'm not saying Killer is super easy and stress free one-hundred percent of the time. But I don't see how we can pretend that the game isn't slanted toward Killer just because not every buff or nerf is in their favor.

how is that on player exactly…?
that's on bhvr to fix it not the player ?
and that's not even a matter of balance that's just a matter of ping which can be abused by both sides???
i don't get the point of your reply
the system is known to favor one killer that has a pull because of fps related issues which has no relations to actual balance so the game must be killer sided
????
please re-read what i said i think u misunderstood something?
-7 -
You misunderstand, and so feel free to reread it. I also never said it was anyone's fault, but now that you mention it, some Killer players will induce the lag to take advantage of it. Survivors have no lag advantage; that's a misconception. "Hits are handled on The Killer's end," is the official statement. Read the dev blog or look up the stream discussing the matter for further insight.

Do you play killer? Ever faced a good swf? Also ingame have you noticed they are giving bônus xp to killer Because no One wants to play it due to vials?
-4 -
Game is killer sided if you play the 8 best killers nurse ghoul blight Dracula Billy spirit Twins vecna?
Thats the issue with balance. Some killers are just really good and others meh
-2 -
Its balanced because nurse with reading exists
0 -
Thanks, I didn't know Nurse could read. Thats 1 killer out of the 40 in the game rn btw. I didn't say she was balanced either, its just hard to change a character thats been that way for almost 9 years. She has a big playerbase and all those ppl would be upset if she got reworked
-3 -
I love boon circle of healing. I use it all the time. It is far from a "wasted:" perk. Sure you don't have the luxury of infinitely healing yourself…but it's still really good.
-5 -
"No one wants to play killer due to fog vials"
Pffff ok
9 -
i agree with nurse/ ghoul / blight
dracula is barely played because he has a weird delay that makes u feel like u are lagging even if u are not
billy as fun as he is, he suffers from the fact that u bump into nothing or u end up in rpd
spirit has been dead after fog viles release, since she relies on sounds, and fogviles muffle everything so she is just an m1 killer if u bring one item, u could simply not use your powers but u will just end up as an m1 with 115
Twins……. looks behind BUGS BUGS BUGS BUGS BUGS looks back yea we don't talk about them
Vecna is honestly balanced tbh, most of his ability are countertable not to mention u get his body parts mid game which can make the game a bit easier
and honestly 8 killers make this game killer sided is just depressing, every killer should have a chance to play without sweating or dealing with 9 billion bugs cough houndmaster
edit : oh no the downvoter found out that i said fog viles which i agreed several time are got overnerfed make the one killer which relies on sound useless, which means im saying that fogviles are strong they are not.

On the contrary, DBD killer balance is actually pretty good, aside from a few outliers (Nurse, Blight, Ghostface, Sadako…). DBD is killer-sided in public matches even with Skull Merchant, not because of the strength of the killers but mainly because of how unoptimized the gameplay of the vast majority of the playerbase is. And at an average/low level, killer naturally is the stronger role.

The game is provably killer sided unless anyone would like to challenge BHVR on their released stats that say all killers have a greater than 50% aggregated kill rate. (Though doctor got close at 51%) "Oh but to do that killers have to…" - let me stop you right there. The fact that they CAN means they're stronger than survivors. Arguing that they aren't is directly contradicted by the data.
4 -
the moment blight with 2000+ wins and nurse exists the game will always be killer sided.
you could argue that for the majority of killers it isn't tho and id say that's true. Unless player can use good strategy pro survivors 4 stack with or without comms will usually win. but pro survivors aren't the majority and the majority of survivors aren't that good. id know.
This ignoring comp survs teams, those aren't even playing dbd.6 -
If we want to argue minute details Unbreakable is one of the oldest meta perks in the game and has only ever been buffed, also Shoulder is meta-defining and was only nerfed from PTB.
Both sides have had BS in the game stay way too long because the devs in this game act way too slowly.
I do agree with you on smoke bombs though, I had no issues with them even on first release and there was no reason to nerf them twice. They simply are too good against noobs sadly.

Yeah but don't the handful of super sweaty comp teams outweigh the majority of trials ending at 3 gens? 🤪

Absolutely wildly incorrect take.
