cannot join friends in DBD

is there a problem joining friends in dbd? 2v8 and normal queue i am unable to join a friend, when we invite eachother or request to join it goes nowhere. is this a known issue? we've both restarted, verified files etc, no fix

    my wife and I are having the same issue!! I’ve tried reinstalling, using different networks, deleting and then adding back as friend and still nothing.
