Body Blocking Freddy, But I cant strike you...Makes perfect nonsense
Can anyone explain to me how freddy can be body blocked by awake survivors, but he cant strike them? Its just a game, and I try to have as much fun as possible each match. However i find it almost nerve racking when i get body blocked by an awake survivor as Im chasing down one that is in dream state. When this happens near an open exit gate it breaks Freddys chances of a kill even more. A survivor was on last hook and running towards the exit when his teamate made an approproate guess as to where I was and effectively blocked me from chasing the injured survivor. If not for the block I would have secured another kill and possibly still pipped.
Here is my point! Good on the guy for skillful awareness. Im not even bashing him for doing it! Im just saying give Freddy the ability to injure ppl out of dream state once gates are opened AT LEAST! I was virtually defenceless against this strategy as Freddy because you cant even strike the xlockimg survivor until you pull them into dreamstate. This is the area they need to fix. Forget about a rework and just get rid of the few things that break Freddy and let him be a top tier killer like he should be! :)

Once gates are open its pointless to even try most the time unless a survivor is 1 hook from death. If you get someone heading to exit the group will just follow you to the hook and unhook them and you have to wait for dream transition while they laugh and run out.

Exactly! Some matches I do exceptionally well with Freddy and he is the killer I always wind up securing massive bp's with! However he is also the only killer that can reach a point in game where I feel like the survivors cut my balls off, and are playing keep away with them. No killer is as powerless as Freddy against a cooperating group.

They're not blocking you, they're blocking the Survivor on your shoulder.
And by blocking them, since you're holding on to them, you can't move.

You just need to play freddy right, he can easily compete with a top notch SWF, just read some guides =)

Lol naw bro. I have more exp w freddy than any other killer! I aint playin him wrong. You must have misunderstood this post. I find him to be great! He just has specific areas where he becomes survivor bait.

Thank you for the advice everyone! I honestly didnt know what was happening! I guess its possible there was an sleeping survivor blocking me that I didnt see. I have presriged Freddy and usually dont have too much trouble, but lately it seems I just cant get him to work for me and it saddens me. I may sink some time into a few other killers, chalk it up to a few horrible games, and try Freddy again when Im less tilted with him.
