That is a strategy used by various content creators. They are now making videos where they talk sensationally about the planned changes in order to get their viewers to believe that the changes are bad for them. So, the sentiment is being built up against the changes.
This is basically "manufacturing consent" at work, but scaled down to the influencer level, pushing their own agenda.

You literally don't have to wait for a change to actually be implemented to know that it's bad lmfao Y'all act like DbD exists in a vacuum. Knowing how something will affect things before it actually happens is not exclusive to this game, or any game. It's almost like, when you're knowledgeable about a subject and you see something coming that will affect it, you can not only predict how it will go to some degree but because you have the experience and knowledge you can talk about it. I know that's a crazy concept to the Survivor main player base who wants these changes and doesn't do anything but sit on the internet all day.
