This is a Surv-Welcome game, Killers are nothing more than Servants or NPCs in an escape game.
"Frustrating for survs"? Huh, have they ever thought about "frustrating for killers" if Survs play aggressively?
Does anyone watch live on the Hong Kong server? Surv players there play extremely aggressively. I used to watch Killer streaming a lot, but now, I just feel as stressed as the killer streamer. They are not losing to surv players, just losing to perks and add-ons. Viril makes survs have 24s CD Sprint Burst, only 24s. The Styptic Agent at least offer them extra time in a chase and extra time for the team to genrush, or even more: every surv has 3 3hp. StB is just plunder advantage from killer, and survs pay nothing with Viril… If survs use these perks to play aggressive, killer will have a terrible experience.
They never nerf SWF, but only nerf killer perks, I think it's unreasonable. Killers pay the bill for survs benefits.

Say all of this after playing Survivor for a few weeks.

Survivor is the single most mind-numbingly boring and easy gameplay I've ever experienced. Mario Kart is more mechanically demanding.

That's not really fair to say if you prefer one side over the other, to be totally honest. Killer is boring to me, but that has no impact on whether it's engaging or takes skill for those who are much more heavily invested in the role than I am.

I think it is fair to say. Survivor is, mechanically, very simple. It's literally just basic camera control and movement with the odd button press here and there. Skill checks are very easy QTE's that move slowly and give a warning before appearing. I feel like if you've ever played a 3rd person action game, then you should be able to play survivor with your eyes closed. The only thing requiring anything that could be remotely considered "timing" is Dead Hard, which has a full half second active window. Considering that most killer attacks have a very telegraphed wind up and activation, hitting DH isn't exactly something I would consider difficult. It's easier than parrying in a lot of ARPGs.

Yeah, Killer doesn't feel like a power role anymore. I'm convinced they just don't care anymore

If you think, "This restaurant sucks!" but you're waiting in line for 20+ minutes to eat there, your complaints aren't going to carry quite AS MUCH water as people who went somewhere else because they found a finger in their soup. Sorry.

I think both sides actually have quite a bit of depth to them.
Most players arent great at the game and do struggle with skill checks from time to time. Chases are the highest skill cap, and it shows with how many Killers we have that you need to know specific counter play for.
DH's hypothetical halfsecond is burdened by ping, which makes it extremely difficult to hit consistently, especially for average players.
Basically, simplyfing either role into "its so easy and dumb and boring and you're bad if you cant do it" is disingenuous and inconsiderate of the averageness of the general DBD population

Stop putting words in my mouth. Survivor is a knowledge check. Did you do your homework? If yes, you should do well.

"Survivor is the single most mind-numbingly boring and easy gameplay I've ever experienced. Mario Kart is more mechanically demanding."
" I feel like if you've ever played a 3rd person action game, then you should be able to play survivor with your eyes closed. The only thing requiring anything that could be remotely considered "timing" is Dead Hard, "
The implication seems pretty clear here. If you didn't mean it that way, then perhaps you shouldn't have devoted so much time to it.

The things you quoted isn't:
"its so easy and dumb and boring and you're bad if you cant do it"

If I say, "Killer is extremely easy, anyone could play Killer blindfolded, being able to do well as Killer is like winning against the easiest AI in OW, plus its so boring and unchallenged that I fall asleep while winning" you would not be incorrect in reading the implication.
Killer is easy and if you struggle, you're bad. Its the same thing you implied, which is untrue for both, by the way. Both roles are fairly deep and challenging.

Oh, it's a good thing I didn't say any of those things, either, right?
-4 -
What's your escape rate?
2 -
No idea. Not that high because I don't really even try to. I'm usually off trying to get the killer to chase me because gens are so freaking boring. Yeah, I'm throwing the match for everyone, but I don't really care. I'm not going to sit there for a minute and a half holding one button.

it's the entire solo vs swf issue . Playing with friends who are competent at the game on live right now is a brezze unless you are facing the top 5 killers ( those could use tweaks . However solo queue there is no ammount of buffs that will bring it on pair to swf . You can have a solo teamate who didn't queue up to win and instead they just want to do a tome challenege or goof around. That's all it takes to sabotage your entire team . There is no way to balance around such survivors . All this patch does is leep solo queue still miserable while making playing with like minded friends even easier to the point it will become boring .

Certainly did.
Perhaps you should read them from an outside eye.

So you can't back up your claim of the role being easy with easily-acquired official stats that prove you've played a lot of survivor, and also won matches?
4 -
Lol. Aren't the stats bugged? Did they ever get around to fixing those?
-2 -
Mine have been pretty accurate except for showing recent match history, but the numbers themselves have been fine. Nice deflection though.

My killer queues in normal mode are instant when I play in the evenings. What are you talking about?
0 -
Lol. Well, mine haven't. It says that my most played character is Xeno (while it's actually Knight). It's missing literal years of data.
-4 -
But if it'll get you to stop harping on about it, here's my all time survivor stats, according to BHVR.

Years?? And this is your overall? I've played as many matches this month as you've ever played survivor.
God please tell me how many killer matches you have I am DYING to see this disparity.
1 -
I'm sorry, is this some kind of flex? If you've played more than 600 matches this month, you seriously need to get out more. That's like… a 120 hours put in, assuming ten minute matches and only two minutes between matches. That's like four hours a day, every day. Almost 30 hours a week. That's not a hobby, that's a part time job. I don't think I've played 30 hours of video games this MONTH. It's not healthy to get that much screen time, bud. Get out of the house, spend some time with your friends. Maybe chase a girl (or boy, we don't discriminate) or two.
-2 -
You have 500, not 600. And my point is you've barely played the role that you claim is easy. You probably don't see a lot of p100s in your lobbies either.
So you play less than an hour a day yet you are way more fired up about these changes than I, an average and casual player, will ever be about any changes to this silly game.
I don't think my partner would appreciate me chasing anyone else. I also have a full time job and still have time to watch movies, read books, and visit parks, in addition to gaming. I don't have any social media so my screen tme is probably lower than the average person. I'm doing just fine, thanks.

Survivor to me (especially in 2v8) is SUPER relaxing compared to killer. Why? Bc i havr to keep all the perks in the back of my mind from lithe to dead hard etc. Meanwhile survivor is just hold m1 on generator and then try and waste the killers time
