My mate just died to NOED, the hag got 3 hooks the whole game and all of us shoudl have escaped, but the hag just got a free kill thx to this crutch.
Why are the survivors punished for playing well and doing gens?

It's a crutch perk for bad killers everyone knows this.
And if you defend it you simply don't realise this and are a bad killer.
But devs have stated that the noed is in a good place now as it has a counter, cleansing totems.

If she was as bad as you claim then surely you had time to bust totems. You shouldn't have all survived because, clearly, you didn't put in the effort to avoid NOED.

Killers can simply counter DS by not tunneling or counter BT by not camping

So do you just want every killer perk with any amount of counter play removed? Let's get rid of BBQ, why do I need to get into a locker to counter a perk? Let's get rid of Ruin, why do I need to break a totem to counter a perk?
Like I get it, it's a strong perk and it sucks getting hit by it. But you had the opportunity to stop it and decided not to because God forbid you be expected to do more than the bare minimum.

Noed is hardly OP, its a good fall back for an OP gen rush tho. Also why does everyone think MoM is some god perk? It let's take an extra hit once if you've built up enough stacks and are in a injured state. Its a one use dead hard.

Cleanse totems it's not op if it can be countered you are allowing it to prop if you don't break totems so you are officially causing yourself the problem. It isn't a stitch perk and in a lot of cases for me it helps me deal with the pathetic teabagging survivors and it becomes more beneficial when I use blood warden along with it.

I too believe that noed is op, and I don’t understand the comparison between noed and adrenaline, for adrenaline at least you have to work for tht 5 second speed boost, while as noed all you have to do is... nothing. if anything noed is like ds, although I think tht ds is hella more balanced than noed, especially after the rework, but I’d gladly sacrifice ds if it means getting rid of noed as well, the game would require that much more skill for the end game

There's a very simple counter to Totems
If you suspect a killer has NOED stop cleansing every single totem you see. The reason NOED is effective is because the players get this mindset of "Imma cleanse all the totems because NOED!" and they succeed at that. They cleanse every single totem that's easy to get or out in the middle of a field, except for that final totem hidden in a bush at the corner of the map that they had no idea was there and cannot get to.
If survivors learned to just leave one or several totems alone until the EGC when NOED is confirmed the chances are NOED will spawn on one of those totems and be easy to get. A NOED that spawns on a totem you know about isn't an issue. It's the NOED that spawns on the totem you don't know about that gets you
But until the mindset of "If cleanse one totem must cleanse all!I!" finally dies out, People won't learn. Cleanse the totems that are at the corners of the map or far away in an area you won't be coming back to, and leave the ones that are obvious and where you can get to easily. It's very simple
The whole mindset of cleanse them all if you do one is like saying if you searched a chest and healed yourself with the med kit you found. You now have to commit and always heal yourself with a med-kit from a chest. It's even better in a SWF if each player did one totem as they moved along there would be barely any lost time

Necros are getting insane recently. Someone necroposted a topic that was exactly a year old, to say ‘thanks’ because their issue today was solved in that specific thread.
I reckon the forums should auto-close any topics that have gone a month or so without any posts, assuming the forum staff can figure out how to do that. Would be much better than necroposting ancient threads.
