Dbd would be so much better without generators.
The whole game needs a rework. I think hooks are fine but if they remove generators entirely that sounds better. I feel like the game should be like Friday the 13th game and Texas chainsaw mixed. 4 survivors is fine and 1 killer is good. But I just feel like the game could have survivors do other objectives instead of generators like find a few ways to open the exit gates. There could be screw drivers. Maybe one generator their could be keys anything that would be more horror based fun.

Technically, the have used to have an alternate "win condition using keys" a couple years ago and they removed it.
It was a good change, because it wasn't really the intended reason for hatch to exist, but before the hatch rework most of the survivors could escape via hatch with a key without finishing all of the gens.

I feel like if that gaming niche exists, it's probably for those games to fill it... not DBD.

We also got a taste of an alternate objective with the Blood Moon event earlier this year.
It was definitely something different, and a nice way of implementing a new type of objective for survivors to do0 -
soon in dbd there will be no killers, only generators
