So its confirmed right now its 25% perma repair speed bonus + you cant regress or kick gen if they die
Nothing explained so far what will be done againts salty lips or any chance luck to unhook yourself and players self sabotage

Easy solution is to not tunnel. You even get a Bonus to Regression when kicking after hooking unique Survivors.

10%. And yes, incentive to not tunnel. And a punishment if you tunnel. As it should be. And maybe some people realize that you dont have to tunnel as often as you claim you have to tunnel.

I mean, repair speed isn't the problem after I've person dies, since there's basically no one to work on gens. One on hook, one in chase, and one going for rescue means no one is even touching a gen.
25% is nowhere near the equivalent of "having a 4th teammate"

Building on what was mentioned during the Discord preview, I want to remind folks that values can be (and often are) adjusted. Feedback and player experiences are crucial to finding that sweet spot, so definitely give the PTB a try. If things feel overtuned or undertuned, let us know and we'll be sure to pass that feedback along to the team.

Why couldn't they have anticipated scenarios in which survivors would abuse the mechanics, even without having users try them out on the PTB?
Also, I was shocked that the aura visibility bonus of the hook spread didn't take into account the M1 killer at all. Even if you can see a survivor 40m away, they'll either distance themselves or be hidden before you can reach them. Didn't they think of something like that?

How do you want to abuse the mechanic? Do you want to go next so that your 3 teammates have a Repair Speed Bonus and lose anyway because a 3v1 with 25% Repair Speed Bonus is still way worse than a 4v1?

They buffed Basekit Regression. Obviously they nerf the Regression Perks. Which is overall a good thing, being less reliant on Perks.

I think they just didn't consider low tier killer enjoyment when these changes come into play and they just wanted to force break all the complaints survivors had.

Point is survivors perks didn't get wiped like killers as they get a bunch of free ######### and ways to punish the killer and killers get a pittance. Oh I'm sure that getting a bit of extra regression on kick will help trapper when the first 2 gens pop right away.

The team does work hard to anticipate ways that changes could potentially be exploited, but there will always be cases where players surprise us (that's part of the joy of the PTB). On the inverse, there are also cases where on paper, something may look concerningly like an exploit but in practice, ends up not being as effective or impactful as anticipated. Cases like this are why we try to encourage folks to take the things that concern them and really test em out on the PTB.

Again the "Trapper" and "first 2 Gens" nonsense. Bringing up Trapper does not strengthen your point, this is like saying that I dont survive as often as I want to when I bring No MIther. Trapper is the weakest Killer in the game and needs Buffs, dont act as if that one Killer out of 40 is the big argument which wins any debate.
And the first 2 Gens are whatever. You cannot say that each Gen has the same value, you can even argue that 4 Gens are not as important as the 5th Gen. But it is expected to lose Gens early and usually the first Gens are done fast, because this is just how the game plays. But every Gen should take longer, so Killer players dont really have to worry about losing Gens early. It is not the goal to end with 5 Gens remaining.

this is just going to force survivors to go against the same 3 strong killers with the same perks. The devs constantly adding more perks base kit destroys the variability and creativity of everyone. Survivors can all run the same 4 string works because all the others are now base kit. And killers can only play the high mobility, sweaty killers with anti-heal/regression. Now you always know what to expect each match and no one has to learn how to adapt or change their perks, it’s great!

I thought the no regress/block was only if they were the last survivor hooked. So hook 1,2,1,3,1 survivors would get repair speed increase but you'd avoid the regress/block penalty because 3 was last hooked not 1. So survivors get the repair bonus but they'd be down a player and killer could still kick/block.

I don't know why people on this forum thinks that most of the matches people get sacrificed at 5/4 gens when its usually around the last 2 to 1 gen they go - unless they are really bad, its a S tier killer or the survivors are just trolling.
You do know that in harder matches they are disputed around the last 2 or even the last 1 gen, right? Even if you are the best comp Nurse with 30k hours in DBD you will still be prone to lose one or two gens on the first chase. Now if you kill someone with 5 hooks - you can do that reasonably without tunneling - you will have a much harder endgame. Or you just artificially let people live, so there still be 3 people on gens on the hardest time of the match.
Thank god its a PTB and people will this how this will be.

Is there any issue with winning a Game with "only" 1 or 2 Gens remaining? To me this sounds like a good game, but the way you describe it it sounds like it is a bad thing.

Which you face in every game. As usual, only Elite players on special Servers here on the Forums, who dont suffer from the randomness of Matchmaking and only go against the best Teams.
And well… If you face those strong Teams, muiltiple P100s (not that Prestige matters) who are extremely good… Do they even make mistakes? Your point was that Survivors who make mistakes should be punished, and they do get punished, because they die. But if they are that good, it is unlkely that they make mistakes, or am I wrong?

We get a chance to recover, not a reward. It doesn't guarantee that Survivors will win.

Gonna be hard to do when the survivor who was last hooked is dancing around my face and body blocking preventing me from going after someone else because they are in a SWF on discord and get 87 perks for free because they have a mic.

sorry havent you heard what the people in this thread said? since these survivors arent dedicating every frame of the match to solely doing generators and since all survivors are a schroedingers cat of being a good player and a noob, you should have an absolutely free frustration and difficulty free win against these players unless you are horrible at killer! thats the conclusion we reached right? jumping through hoops to complete the objective of the game due to an overtuned system is actually our fault and we have to get gud? theres absolutely no reason why someone in a group of four may die earlier and to be concerned about the remaining 3 players being better at the game, surely, every killer that is upset is just bad at video games and should go play civilization. some canadian french guy told me it was good once.

Its not about "winning" the game with only 1 or 2 gens remaining, but that a good part of the match itself can happen after someone dies with 1 or 2 gens, because sacrificing one survivor is still part of the gameplay. This 6 hooks punishment can affect normal gameplay rather than a "tunneling" scenario.
Having a big boost to the other side just because you did part of your objeticve doesn't seem fine to me.

It is way better to have a good incentive and nerf Perks instead of having a bad incentive and stronger Perks. Makes you less reliant on Perks, which is overall a good thing.

That 25% is too much it should be like 10% or it should be influenced by gens left from powering gates to survivors being alive so you dobt get 25% increase on one gen left with first kill on 4 hook stages as trapper if this goes live as its now on paper than devs basicaly are saying go blight and have fun they dont care about weaker killers on whose is normal to get first kill on one or two gens left with 4 hooks because these killers lack power to get hooks earlier.

As long as the survivor doesn't die you can technically hook a survivor twice in a row. But if they die during that 2nd hook you are screwed.

It has to be a hook action. This is at the bottom of the patch notes as a known issue because it isn't currently working as intended on ptb:
Tunneling reduction penalties trigger when Survivors go from the struggle hook phase to Sacrifice. These should only trigger when a hook interaction is performed to Sacrifice a Survivor.
