Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Welcome to DBD 2017 again, I guess

Well, 70% of my feedback on Mapping the Realm was "Maps need to be more consistent with spawn". Because, for example, Cowshed or Shuttered Square could be super killer sided, balanced or even survivor sided in the next match simply because of how different spawn RNG. And we got it finally. Well, we got this and holy omega buff to maps.
Coldwind maps buffs? Mostly W, but Cowshed seems pretty survivor sided again.
Haddonfield buff? Huge W, finally in a good spot.
Borgo buff? Very welcome.

Who said there should be pallet literally every 5-10 meters? Since when "dead zones" is bad thing? Now I shouldn't even think where to run, what to drop or not, what part of maps I shouldn't go against some killers? Killer uses his power? Oh, I will just run into next loop in 5 meters next to me. I shouldn't use my brain at all as survivor it seems after this update, it's just full autopilot at this point.

Not only this, but almost all loops are way more longer. Absolutely horrible change. You can't even mindgame anymore as M1 killer, but with killers who can outplay pallets you have less counterplay. I loved the fact there are always different loops on the map: very safe, 50/50 loops you can mindgame as killer and as survivor, and bad loops you need to play for stun. Now it seems like no interaction at loops at all. Honestly, no worries here, I think Nurse will be in every second game after this patch anyway.

Who on the Earth said Autohaven, MacMillan and Ormond maps needed buffs? Autohaven and Mac widely considered most balanced maps by majority of community. Gas Haven is still stupidly survivor sided, Ormond always leaned on survivor side, all we saw before map offering nerfs is key, Eyrie, key, Ormond, Eyrie, bone, Badham, key, Eyrie, key. And yet they somehow buffed anyway. QoL "Closer to Nurse level" for every killer in 9.3.0 I assume?

Literally "Bring back 2017 DBD" started here.

Only thing that is missing is palett vacuum for skilless players to be called skilled in looping and thats it I will become p100 nurse main with full meta.

Well... This looks very similar to how pallets are spawned in 2v8...

Dead zones were always a bad thing if at the start of a match that's what most of the map is.

Empty maps are obviously bad thing, but it's not about dead zones. Ironworks of Misery was very well balanced map and had dead zone behind main, for example.

And I'm glad they are adding in stronger pallets instead of the pathetic ones

They are adding it instead of every pallet, even instead of interactive ones. They almost made Gideon experience on every map, where you just drop super safe pallet and then just run to another one in 10 meters. Idk how it can be fun for anyone, killer or survivor. I hope nobody will be surprised, when we will go only against killers who don't care about how how strong pallets are.

WOO are gonna be very happy. See yellow, go to yellow, drop pallet, run, repeat. I don't know why BHVR insists on rewarding a gameplay that has no skill to it. Pallets should be a limited resource you know.

Many of these pallets are not strong. I personally checked all the maps affected by the change several times, and now they spawn like ≈ 18 pallets on each one, but many of them are unsafe and on the edge of the map.

They also removed some unique structures, such as the one on Dead Dawg Saloon, and replaced them with more classic fillers and less powerful tiles. EDIT: They also nerfed the "Fun Bus" tile by removing that strong window on it.

The only maps I've seen improved are Haddonfield and Coldwind, while some, such as Ormond and Family Residence, I believe have actually been penalised. Then again, I don't know, maybe I was lucky with the RNG and you were unlucky, anything is possible.

I noticed on Ormond Resort specifically, the outdoor rock formations are larger again, like they used to be in the old version. This should help a bit more with LoS blocking and offer better protection against killers like Trickster.

For me it looked like Family Residence had slightly better spacing between the tiles, like there are much less deadzones to wander into. Also, there were new edge-fillers with pallets now

WOO should get nerfed but having huge dead zones is equally skillless. Am I supposed to feel like I outplayed a survivor because a gen spawned next to a tree and 2 rocks?

I think that having dead zones is bad yes, but I think that loops should have a bigger distance from each other, so survivors can't chain them together and make an infinite. Also, make it so that throwing a pallet down actually punishes a survivor.
