Michael Myers new attack IS NOT A DASH!!!!
I really hate this fascination that Myers is 100% ruined cause of a “dash” that’s not even a dash it’s just a super coup de grace lunge
And btw I’m sick of this dash slop term. It was only invented cause of annoying killer deigns but now it’s just thrown around and generalized oh a killer can move quickly dash, a killer can quickly get to a place dash
it’s become so annoying and it’s already lost its meaning
THESE are dash killers Billy, Oni, Blight, Nurse, Ghoul, Wesker. THEY actually dash foward and have attacks
Myers has let’s see a lunge. Not a dash, not a quick sprint just a lunge
It’s funny how when a word gets popular every dbd YouTuber will throw this buzzword around and people will just get brainwashed and use it too

I’m actually in the minority but I’m pretty excited for new Myers. Being able to toggle stealth/pursuer and having the normal lunge in stealth mode seems super fun. I also want to try new scratched mirror, seems like it will be even more powerful and make jumpscare Myers even better. Ive seen a lot of complaints which I guess is valid if you really don’t like it but I’ve had a lot of trouble trying to think of any other “power” they could’ve given him.

He can now switch between his 2 modes now something LITERALLY EVERYONE ASKED FOR!?!?!
AND he can mori people while standing and on death hook? The very same people say Micheal is not Michael any more love to leave out this little detailBut nope the so called dash is what killed Michael and is not faithful anymore even though I don’t have to actually use it I can just use the 2 modes to either be undetectable and I can now mori people on death hook

I don't see how killing them on third hook is useful here. You have to be in Evil Incarnate Mode that only last 40s and is wasted. In the time it takes to do the mori you might as well hooked them. It's fine for flair but not as useful as Pyramid Head's quick mori.

Myers new power is now involves charging up your attack while being slowed down and gaining a burst of speed in a forward direction hitting a survivor you collide with. It's also no longer considered an M1 attack. That's a dash.

except you don’t have to fully charge it like a dash, you can activate early for a shorter lunge which is still pretty long. It also just feels completely different from a dash according to the several people I’ve seen review it. I can’t actually try it on the PTB. I would challenge any of you who insist it’s just “dashslop” to provide an alternative mechanic for him to have instead? Or just use the add on to play OG, except you can’t have infinite T3 which is honestly overpowered to begin with.

His attack is less of a lunge and more of a Chucky/Oni hybrid.

So it really is just giving a killer that didn't need it a dash to make them generic and "up to date".

those arent dashes, they just swing with a faster than normal momentum making them move further.

I completely disagree, it is a dash. If they were aiming for an extended lunge, then just give him an extended regular lunge. This is a special attack you have to charge up and slow down while charging, then have a limited turning rate during the attack. He honestly feels like a tall Chucky but with shorter range and an instadown. It also feels very clunky in general. The update completely strips away Myers' identity and waters down what made him unique, and I really hope they reconsider the changes. This rework is not good.

Either way its nice that he has allot more in his kit now, and they managed to keep scratched mirror playstyle without the shorter lunge distance. Being able to freely go back to stealth now makes him a full stealth killer for the rest of the game no matter what he brought for addons. And since he cant kill you while standing anymore with 0 hooks, the achievement is now very doable since he can get free moris from tier 3 without needing to bring a mori, and you can infinitely get tier 3. All that together is much better than just plain m1 killer with expose effects.

The first video is the same thing as the second. The only difference is one is done with perks, the second is a base kit ability.
That's the whole point. Slaughtering strike is simply a coup lunge they gave him and made it a special ability. If the first video showed him doing something completely different you would have a point. But it isn't. You're trying to validate your opinion of it being a dash just because they have made it a special ability for him.

i think you misunderstand the meaning of a dash killer. they have built in m2 to go zoom zoom = dash killer
its not strictly assigned to kiillers with wesker double dash or ghoul or houndmaster or demo

I know exactly what a dash killer means. Myers players have been using coup for years and nobody was calling it dash or "dash slop". Just a big lunge. Which is what it is.
But suddenly Bhvr slap a strike label on it, give it to him base kit, and now it's suddenly a dash. No afraid not. That's the whole point that person in the tweet was making. A perk doesn't suddenly transform killers into dash killers.

Not all killers has to be same. Myers was really unique before rework and just needed some buffs. Now he is chucky 2.0.

But that's the logic I can't wrap my head around. If he does the same thing with tier 3 coup lunge then why is it not the same thing just because they gave it to him as base kit? Are the two videos showing two completely different lunges. No.
I know they gave him an extra effect with it in the pallet breaking. That doesn't change that they both do the same lunge. I don't see how anyone could look at those two comparison videos and not say it doesn't look like the same thing. It's a big lunge. They just made it base kit and gave it a new label.
But yeah agree to disagree because I don't know how else to say this without it starting to get repetitive.

wraith has a speed boost that extendes his regular lunge due to the speed. this triggers all the perks that work with basic attacks.
idk what sadako has… probably another speed boost since you grouped the 2.

Before he could mori without hooking anyone that was unique and scary. Now it's not different from mori offering.
It's definetely dash and does not fit for the character at all. Myers is suposed to be killer that stalk his victim and then surprice attack them. He is not killer that run and chases his victim. OG design understood this.
You could just add those to tier 3 (but no dash). Ability to instantly destroy pallet for example would fit him much better.

It is not a regular lunge.
You have a limited turn rate and have to charge up the damn thing before use.
Much like a mix of Oni and Pig for example.
And it's not mainly an issue of what kind of dash or notdash it is, but the fact it was added to begin with.
