I wouldn't really consider him Dashslop. He's basically like leatherface.
Plus… current myers needs to go. Every match is purple tombstone. And he's otherwise quite boring to play due to having no real chase ability.1 -

I'll be glad to say goodbye to tombstone, and I'm saying that as someone who used it a good amount. It was totally unfair.

I do find it kind of sad to see another bit of old DBD disappear from the game. I say that as a relatively new player, so it's not so much the nostalgia speaking, but misgivings about the more chase focused direction the game has taken recently.
Depending on the add-ons they were running and the inclinations of the player, he was either one of the weakest Killers in the game or one of the most unfairly overpowered. I kinda liked that duality, even if I personally wanted to see Tombstone Myers become a thing of the past. I suppose he's been reworked to better fit the game is it is now and I guess I have to accept that. But if the "dash" is anything like Chucky's dash on controller (which is really hard to control), I have a feeling I'm not going to like it.
Anyway, I'm going to spend the next couple of weeks using up my remaining stock of Vanity Mirror add-ons because the reworked vanity is pretty terrible. Hopefully, I will like the new Myers as much as the old one. He's all about the jump scares for me and if that's no longer his thing, then maybe it's time to finally make peace with my old nemesis and unlock the Ghost Face.

I think it's unfair to consider new Myers dashslop when it's just an extension of the extended-lunge ability he's always had.
That being said, I don't really see what Slaughtering Strike adds other than changing his lunge from a basic attack to a special attack for perks. The rest of the rework is really quite good and just needs a few number tweaks to feel less sluggish, so I'd hope that if the devs do react to the negative reactions to Slaughtering Strike they don't ditch the rest of the rework.

That's true, I actually forgot about the pallet-break part. That does add something to him, though it is a little generic. I wouldn't mind if that part of the rework were scrapped but the rest were preserved.

i actually like the pallet breaking part as it gives him more of an oh ######### moment since he isnt "stunned" by it and just slowly walks through wich feels very thematic. If remove things id personnaly remove some of his clunkyness with the animations etc.
If we need scrap it there are a few things they should keep:
#1: stance toggle. Simply put this is AMAZING
#2 lunge breaking the pallet. This just feels good during a chase instead of having to mash space to break it like current myers now you can choose to either work around it or just bruteforce through it and keep going.
(also a thing i personnaly REALLY want is a halloween kills myers outfit)1 -
The whole idea that they had going on is not really an issue, its just the extended lunge is just.. lazy.
Personally what Id do is keep the insta down on Evil Incarnate mode, and have a small dash that is instead him moving forward with his arm out to grab a Survivor. If it connects then the Survivor is grabbed similar to Springtrap, and if they are on death hook it immediately transitions to a mori
In the end its still a dash but its A LOT more thematic

It's funny people calling it an extended lunge when the new M2 ability has a charge with slowdown, moves longer distance than other killers considered dash killers (Chucky, Wesker, Dracula), has limited turning, and does not work with perks that trigger on M1.
If Myers was truly just an extended lunge than none of the above would be true like how it is on live.

I like Myers as he is (live, not on PTB). I find it enjoyable to try to figure out which add-ons he's running. And he's one of the few killers who feels fine to play on console because his ability isn't ranged or a dash or speed or an extended lunge. Messing with that risks making him another hard-to-utilize-because-of-input-lag-and-low-framerates-and-analog-stick-limitations killer, and there are plenty of those already.

Why addon he can mori survivor when he is dead hook (while in evil incarnate) so why dont give the same effect in exit area with lowering the requirement to one hook stage so mayers can mori him in exit gate area while in evil incarnate mode, you can argue blood warden whould be op but this perk only punishes teams that dont leave and still they can know it when blood warden is up and run out of exit gate area to get oneshot instead of moried.

The argument isn't that the new power is an extended lunge, it's that Myers has always had an extended lunge that offers similar-but-weaker value to this new ability.
The new ability is a dash, it's just not really a huge deviation away from how Tier 3 has always worked. He's always had this kind of ability, they just codified it as a more of a dash ability mechanically here.
Like, sure, it has a charge-and-slowdown like a dash ability… but he's still whipping around loops the way he always has in Tier 3, just better. All that's new mechanically is the pallet-break element.

Old mayers kinda sucks in few ways evil within level 1 is bad and scratch mirror is dead (almost if you are lucky to get map) with small lunge, evil within level 2 is perfection by itself just normal m1 with faster vault and 16 meter terror radius and tier 3 without purple hair and faster staliking addons or purple tombstone is just meh and joke you spend so muyh stalking but all you get is 25% increased lunge which isnt much helpfull, instadowns but everybody predrops or asume you have tombstone so they play super safe and hide if they can and all for 60 seconds basekit which is joke if they should leave him into his current version he would need full lunge in evil within 1, some more buffs in tier two like 10% break and recovery after stun speed and the lunge part isnt bad idiea too and more of these buffs in tier 3 with tombstone being basekit for survivors dead on hook like his ptb version because he sucks both in stealth there are killers that can do it better like wraith,ghostface and his chase sucks even more which si bad comparing his current version to ghostface all that kepps him above ghostface is tombstone and the fact that he can secure kill when gates are powered with his one minute instadown which ghostface cant do maybe his synergy with bamboozle thats all.

If they would give him this kind of addon it would be purple or pink because bhvr makes all random good addons super rare for no reason.

Same as lucards shield but its iridescent quality too or knights banner which blocks marked survivor way out.

Shred, but it wouldnt have wind up. Its just an instant dash forward with his arm out (maybe 6/6.5m/s for like 1.5/2s?) and it can animation cancel the transition they introduced to still keep his element of surprise and ambush potential. The grab can also interrupt anything, including pallet and windows vault while healthy. Could also make all of his actions 25% faster, including being stunned.
I know its not as strong as Slaughtering Strike, but thats why Im bringin back the insta down so he's still a threat at loops. The grab is meant to be a tool to close off that little bit of extra distance that a Survivor might have to make a pallet or window.

he overall had great characterization, so we can ignore the lunge… he has big arms… he can reach…
but now it's just a dash… and it's so lame. He's just dash killer M now… I hate it so much.
Everything else is mostly fine. but the dash kills it for me.
It's like, you see this great piece of food, and then someone dumps a ton of mayo on it. You like mayo, mayo is great sometimes, but not on that food, it ruined the food. and you can no longer make yourself eat the food because of it.

i do think that tombstone piece could do with a tweak because its current state gives me 80 to 90% kill rate with myers (partly because people dont understand how to use lockers or stay out of line of sight). However reworking the entirety of myers and changing his base core is what i disagree with. From what i have seen, new myers is just weird blend of pig, ghostface and other killers. Thats not myers.
I honestly thought people would appreciate myers as he doesnt slug or tunnel which seems to be the main gripe survivors have. Tombstone takes a while to build up, during this time people can do gens, and play the match. There is no waiting on the floor or waiting on hook or being tunneled out. He offers creepy and scary vibes and when he does finally chase its very tense because you know he means business but he has no anti loop. i rather tombstone myers any day over a blight, ghoul or nurse.

jason is more likely to throw something at you than throwing you… but it can work.
but also, weirdly, Jason fits the dash more… at least he ran in the remake (which was actually a nice remake… I didn't expect it to be).

Yeah, I don't know that this is the best answer, but old Myers had/has to go. He's stale and boring, and I say this as someone who has played a lot oy Myers.
So long as the SM is kept essentially intact, I welcome the change.

Being a console player and not being able to test him in PTB, I'm trying to remain on the fence. I was really happy with his last smaller update and didn't think he needed a rework so soon after, but I've also seen folks who play Myers more than I do say they're happy with the rework so I'm trying to reserve judgement. My understanding is i can still play current Myers but will need the iri add-on, which is kind of a bummer. Also not a fan of Vanity Mirror's rework.

My vision for Jason’s power was a ranged grab that makes it so it’s a long charge that slows you down but if you make contact you grab the survivor and there automatically on your shoulder
I would give him Vecna abilities
One makes him walk through pallets and doors instantly,
One makes him undetectable
Other allows him to shift around the map(kinda like f13 game and Krause)

As I said before, 'reworks' will never compensate for tp loss, the only thing that made him a menace.
He's not a threat anymore in any shape or form and never will be. It's over.

Theoretically, they could do anything to him in a rework, so say one could "never" compensate for the loss of the tp is kind of silly. He has the tp now and he's a d/c-tier killer.
Myers is a low tier killer with one trick that everyone hates. As someone who likes playing Myers but finds the tp to be tired and lame, I'm up for any major changes.
With SM pretty much neutered, there's no where to go but up, really.
