Is matchmaking scuffed rn?
so i get on the game i have a match where i die to a Hag at one gen ok sure whatever with mmr the next game will probably be easier. Spoiler alert it was not next game was a p100 chucky who curb stomped me. Ok i go sure hope my next game will be easier. The next game i get a p100 ghoul and i get mori'd at 4 gens. Im not even mad i die first im just so confused about the matchmaking in what universe does it make sense for the matchmaking to put you against a p6 hag then the next two games are against p100's back to back. Make it make sense

Matchmaking has never worked. It’s by far the biggest problem in the game right now.

The one thing I think everyone here agrees on is that the matchmaking is terrible.

I think all the casual players I usually play against have completely abandoned the game. Maybe they'll come back with the new chapter or the next event but then again, why would they? There's nothing worth coming back to since BHVR put anti-tunnel / anti-slug on ice for who knows how long. I'd rather lose every Killer game than load into a single Survivor game right now (which is what I've been doing, because I've had mostly losses today).
l really hope the new MMR system they're cooking up has an option to opt out of quick matchmaking. I'd rather not be playing if there are no players around my level online.
Also, I have a suspicion that losses only lower MMR for the next time that you play after a 24 hour cycle. It's not dynamic. Meaning you'll be stuck with difficult games until it resets you at your new level the next day. No proof of course, just what I think happens.

Not to defend BHVR's implementation of MMR, but a single game, or even five games, is not going to have that big of an impact on MMR. It takes a lot more games than that to move the needle, especially if the MMR system is pulling you up meaning the losses are expected thus MMR wouldn't really move that much.
