How am I losing rank when I DC against a hacker?
Thats wild. Ive been up against the same killer hacker for several games now. I know hes hacking because hes faster than light, Insta knocks and Insta hooks everyone map wide. I DC after he knocks everyone and I lose rank. Thats wild. Behavior, get on the ball please.

The question is not why you lose rank. Its why an obvious cheater can do what he wants. The cheater problem is full out of control and i wonder how many not so obvious cheaters are out there.

The cheating problem is completely out of control, but BHVR doesn't really give a #########. As I'm writing this now I'm stuck in a match with a cheater, who locked me in place as soon as I picked up a survivor, and none of them are doing the last gen.

Yeah, you get punished for DC'ing regardless of the reason. Whether it's genuine ragequitting, power/internet going out, or cheaters, you suffer the penalty for it? Is it always fair? Not for the latter two reasons, but the penalty is not going to change.

When facing a hacker you should not be penalized for not wanting to play through the match, especially when hackers can hold games hostage for up to an hour.

no one is saying that, they are saying cheaters need to go which solves that issue. but the penalty for quitting the match just because they can should stay.

That's all fine and dandy when there are no more cheaters. But we are not in that utopia today, and lets be honest. We never will be.

i agree but the topic was regarding cheaters. imo people that just quit because they dont like a map or because they suddenly changed their mind and want to play somthing else mid match is just as troublesome as cheaters. both ruin the match for everyone involved. like you said we not in that utopia today. without penalties people would quit every match and no one would be able to the game at all.
