Why does Anon mode also turn off Licensed music?
Or rather, why doesn't it, as for example Myer's Jingle can still be heard, which I wouldn't call copyright free exactly.
I mean, I get why it turns off licensed music, it's basically streamer mode. But I like to activate this mode and still have licensed music, could be a standalone toggle, in case someone doesn't stream and just doesn't want others to read their name/steam profile

I agree, licensed music should be a separate toggle. Especially for those streamers that don't want to be anonymous. Most I know even put TTV in their name. Going anonymous kind of defeats the point, yet…. if they want to say use the Iron Maiden shirts, they have to go anonymous and lose out on stream advertising?

It's really weird it makes zero sense, I can't even understand the reasoning?
For streamers or something? I have no idea in the slightest.

What licensed music is in the game?
I play on Anon and I haven't noticed a difference.

All of the more recent license character have lobby music with parts from the license franchise music. I think the first one was Silent Hill. Even if it is a track that has the basic Dead by Daylight tune mixed in most automatic detection things will flag it as the licensed song. So in streaming sites it can cause parts of the streams vod to be muted so it makes harder for the streamer to make clips or videos out of the vod if they so want or people from watching it as there is no audio in the parts where it detects copywrited music.
and should this not to be in the Feedback and Suggestion sub-forum and not in General as its clearly a suggestion.

weird i just went into anon mode, selected sable/ciri and am hearing witcher music. Anon mode disabling copyrighted music makes zero sense since there is a dedicated option for turning off copyrighted music in the audio settings.

Mine works with it on, too.

Oh wait there is?

Oh finally. it was NOT that way originally, it was just anonymous mode that turned it off. Glad they did finally add it at least, but still think it should be removed from Anonymous now.
OR wait you are saying they did remove it from anonymous mode and the OP is not making sense? I am confused now LOL0 -
they just never updated anon modes description. It doesn’t disable copyright music anymore.

Ah, okay thanks for that clarification, i was so confused lol

According to today's patch notes at least, this has been fixed! Anonymous mode no longer should disable licensed music!0
